Love the comfort and the fit, wanted the comment from one reviewer to not be an issue but it was. The shoe definitely has a yellow tint to it. Love the shoe, but too yellow for my taste. Regardless, Zappos never disappoints! Had it overnight. Love you Zappos!

I got these in black. They felt absolutely true to size. They have the perfect toe shape and are very easy to wear with anything. Very nice basic flats, but...they stretched out like crazy within three months. I expect leather to have some give to it and at first it allowed the shoes to fit my feet very well, but they just kept stretching till they became half a size too large. Sometimes they would slip off if I was walking on stairs. The padding in the shoes feels very comfortable at first, but don't be fooled, it flattens out and disappears fairly quickly. After that, the shoe is not very comfortable to wear if you are doing a lot of walking. They made my feet extremely black; the dye rubbed off. If you think that these shoes are a nice investment, there will be nothing left for you to repair within 4-6 months, depending on how much walking you do. At the time when it would normally be appropriate to have these repaired (put some new taps on the heels, touch up the leather etc.), these have completely fallen apart. As well as these fit me and as cute as they are, I don't see myself purchasing them any more. It's a shame.

This shoe is actually gold, not bronze. It's pretty if you need a gold shoe, but I need bronze. Also, I have 3 other pairs of Carson ballet from Frye, but this particular shoe seems to run short. It's not as comfortable as my others and unfortunately I will be returning.

I ordered the 8.5 and 9 based off of reviews. The 8.5 was definitely too small. I have a wide foot, and the 9 was snug, but I figured it would stretch. These are going back, as I just didn't love them and for the price just can't justify it. But I would say sizing is spot on.

These are super adorable shoes! But I did return them. I ordered them in the black textured nubuck. I'm a size 9 in about 95% of shoes I buy, so I ordered these in a 9. I have large toes and my big toe pointed on the nubuck material which I was not happy with. If I ordered a size up, I felt they would've been too loose. Also, I hate the look of toe cleavage (being one with longer toes), and these gave just a touch of that. I avoid most ballet-style shoes for this reason, but the Fryes were passable. What made me return these shoes is the slippery sole. I had returned some Frye oxfords for the same reason last year. I don't understand how a company who charges so much on a majority of their shoes feels they can get away with slippery soles. I shouldn't have to pay extra to go to a cobbler and get a better sole put on...or even invest $5 in anti-skid stickers for the front of the shoe. Sorry, it's just principle at this point. Also, I wish Frye would make all their shoes in the USA, not a select 5 pairs. This pair was made in China. Oh well, better luck next time I guess.

I could see this shoe really working for some, but for me they we not worth the money. The bottom of the shoe is extremely slippery leather, not good for a klutz like myself. Also I found my big toe nail pressing painfully against the shoe. Maybe the leather would break in, but overall i found the style a tad too schoolmarm to make it worth the pain.

I'm not sure what all the hype is about. The pair I got, the leather was flimsy and was wrinkled and puckered. Also, the sole was so slippery that I almost fell, even on the carpet. For me to pay this price for a pair of flats, they have to be perfect. These didn't fit the bill.

Sizing on the Fry Carson Ballet is incredibly inconsistent. I have ordered three pairs (size 7) One was too big, one too small and one fit just right. The pair that fits is wonderful, but I'm knocking them down to three stars because, frankly, at this price point I expected more quality control across the product line.

Nice style and color options but the quality was more like a $65 pair of leather shoes and not this price. Had to send them back.

I'm a huge fan of Frye boots so thought I'd try the flats for spring. Basically struck out both times in terms of size. The 9 was really tight and 9.5 was a little loose--I knew they would be too loose after wearing them for a few days. They didn't feel very substantial for the price. I have no issue with spending this much for a pair of Frye engineer boots, but the cost for these very thin flats seemed like too much for too little.

These shoes are overpriced for what they are. They are flimsy and there is no arch support. Do not be swayed by the fact that they are Frye's. Frye boots are good quality and sturdy. These are not good quality and they are very expensive - buy Born or Naturalizers - cheaper and better quality.

This is the perfect little ballet flat and this is my third purchase. I bought both black and brown for the fall/winter but thought the bronze color would be great for the spring. I do love this color. It is a combination of both silver and gold. My only negative is that these shoes seem to be prone to flaws. My first pair arrived with horizontal creases in the leather at the toe that seemed to be permanent. Zappos was wonderful and exchanged them for another pair. The second pair arrived quickly and looked great at first glance so I wore them right away. One of the shoes was very comfortable and one was not. On closer inspection, I noticed that the shoes are actually cut differently. By this I mean the toe cap is bigger on one shoe than the other. The shoe with the smaller cut shows toe cleavage and is very uncomfortable and the other shoe is very comfortable as are my black and brown pair. Check out yours more carefully than I did and if you get two alike you will love them!

I wear a 7½ or an 8. I ordered the 7½ and they feel two sizes too small in the toe, but the heel leather is rather floppy and I think it will slip off in a larger size. Additionally, the toes of the soles are really slippery. That is too bad because I like the full sole and it did not feel too thin. Back they go. I am sad.

I love this shoe...except. They are perfectly comfortable, very cute, and incredibly well made. My only issue is that they make my feet sweat unlike any shoes I have ever worn. They are not exactly a pair of shoes that can be worn with socks and my fear is that they will be ruined by odor much sooner than I would like/expect an expensive pair of shoes to do.

These definitely ran small for me, at least a half size. In my regular size 8, my toes were pressed all the way to the end. Another problem was that I felt either exposed nylon threads or a bit of glue or something in the seams of the lining at the heel. It felt rough and scratchy, not something you want to feel for very long. I had that experience with another pair of Frye shoes this fall. For their prices and reputation for quality, I expect the inside to be nice and smooth. Another negative was zilch support. I don't expect much in ballet flats, but the sole of these was flat as a pancake. These are cute and made of really nice leather. The red was beautiful. For Frye prices I just expected more, at least a true-to-size fit.

These are great quality soft leather shoes. I ordered the antique navy, and if they fit great was prepared to get the charcoal grey. The size was fine. I'm 8.5 narrow. But my big toe was pushing up through the leather and I knew that over time there would be a permanent indentation that would look lame. Also, as great of quality as these are, I thought they looked a bit boring and frumpy. Maybe I'm just not a ballet flat kind of girl. They went back.

I liked the style of these, but I couldn't get the sizing to work. I have two other pairs of Frye shoes that I haven't had a problem with. I have an average foot when it comes to fitting shoes. However, I was in between sizes on these. 7.5 was too small and 8 was too big. I felt that the width was a little larger than standard. I also didn't love that the leather on the toe of the shoe was a little darker than the leather on the rest of the shoe. At that price, it should be uniform. I had high hopes for these and was sad to have to return them.

The leather on these is really nice, but the whole shoe seems a bit flimsy for the price. Very, very slippery--I struggled to walk on carpet when trying them on at home. I did order my true size, 9, which worked well. I am sending them back though, since I'm not in love with them at this price.

Cute shoe, and I really wanted to keep it, but it's just too big. I'm a normal size 9 in most flats, but this shoe was too wide and too long. Unfortunately, I'll be sending them back. I'm afraid an 8.5 will squish my toes.

These shoes fit me, but when I went to walk in them I noticed how slippery they were. I am 74 years old and can't afford to fall. Therefore, I am returning these shoes.

I originally bought a size 10 because reviews said that the shoe ran large. I returned it for a size 11 which suited me a little better. I have a wide foot with a narrow heel so the heels kept slipping and even with heel pads, still do. I really like the look of the shoe but maybe I need to add elastic across the top of the shoe to hold it on. In future i will buy shoes with elastic around the edge. I don't like returning things twice so kept the shoes. I can wear them for short periods only.

These were too small, but the reason I returned them and will not get a size bigger is because they were way too slippery. I was slipping all over the carpet, hardwood floors, and tile.

I absolutely loved these flats. Unfortunately, after buying 3 pairs in different sizes I had to give up on them. They looked great on but hurt when walking only around the house. Hope they work out better for others since they are very cute shoes.
