I own several pairs of Frye boots and was thrilled to see that they now make a ballet flat and it is so hard to find a decent ballet flat among the sea of suede smoking slippers out there these days! And of course you can count on Zappos to have the best color selection, with all available colors conveniently available on a single website. I ordered several different colors and ended up keeping the Smoke leather, which is a really cool taupe-gray neutral. Looks great with brown or black clothing. I do have some Frye boots that run large, but for these I recommend ordering true to size. As always, excellent and prompt customer service from Zappos for the returns, too. Thank you!

These are my most favorite ballet flats ever. The fit is superb and the leather and style beautiful. These shoes conform to the contours of your feet and are comfortable right out of the box. I must add that these shoes have no cushioning or arch support. You will need to add liners if you want that support.

These flats are amazing. From the picture I was expecting a very rigid soled flat. Not so, these are so soft and bendy. I only wish that they had some arch support and also, the leather soles, not sure that to do about it. Maybe add one of those sticky rubber traction. Also, the size is hit or miss. I purchased 2 pairs, a textured nubuck and a solid leather color. The solid color was firmer leather and felt a tad bit smaller than the textured nubuck. Both were size 6.5, which I ordered based on recommendations to order 1/2 size down. So the textured ones fit perfect and the other ones are a little tight. They definitely don't look like they would last years due to the leather sole and the topsole being so soft. Still, it's worth a splurge for me because it's hard to find such comfortable flats.

Comfy! This is the second pair of this style that I have purchased. Unlike a lot of shoes, these are comfortable right out of the box. And they are a flattering style with just about anything. The size is very true.

Best flats ever! I've been through a lot of flats and have tested many brands, many price ranges. So far, these win! Great quality, soft leather, perfect fit, super comfy and about as supportive as a flat gets. I feel like I've gotten what I paid for. I do wish the sole had some grip to it other than on the heel. If these last (I think they might) I will probably get them resoled at some point and ask them to put grip on the ball of the foot. I'll definitely be ordering more pairs in different colors.

Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Just ordered my 4th pair...It's like wearing slippers. Get lots of complaints on them. I want them in every color. My only complaint is that they are slippery. I bought them in my usual size first and decided maybe they were a little small so I returned for 1/2 size bigger. They do stretch out quite a bit so I probably should have stuck with my usual size.

Call off the search! I have at last found the perfect ballet flat! These are great quality shoes that are comfortable to wear right out of the box. I've worn mine for 5 hours this morning, running around doing errands and my feet have not complained once. These shoes are soft, classy and great quality. LOVE THEM!

I love these shoes. I have them in blue and cognac and am thinking about getting them in black. They are chic and comfortable, and I know I will wear them for years to come because they have the Frye quality and craftsmanship behind them.

Beautiful leather and very soft, and unlike many Frye shoes/boots needs no breaking in whatsoever. If you're between sizes or like a little more room in the toe, you might want to go a half size up. I normally wear a 7.5 or 8, and the 8 fits me perfectly, but without a centimeter to spare.

I love these! The leather is beautiful and they are super comfy. I wish I could buy 3 more pairs in different colors.

These are my favorite ballet flats of all time. I have lots of issues with my feet, ankles, and knees, and have a really hard time finding flats (or any shoes, for that matter) that don't hurt me. I have custom orthotics that I have to wear a lot. I don't even need them for these shoes to be comfortable. I don't know why, because there is no arch support, but they are so ridiculously comfortable. I would buy them in every single color made if I could.

Really like these shoes. They were a little snug right out of the box, but quickly conformed to my feet and now I wear them around like house slippers. Pretty, subtle and not stuffy looking like some ballet flats. The leather soles are a little slippery to start but I think will hold up better than rubber and look better.

Love these shoes! Comfortable from the moment I took them out of the box. Although I typically wear a size 10 in Frye boots, the 9.5 in these shoes was perfect.

I wanted to love these shoes. The leather is beautiful! But for my foot (wide forefront, narrow heel, high arch) it just didn't work. I didn't mark any points down on the shoe. It's not the shoe; it's me.

Absolutely the best pair of flats ever. Leather is so soft that it feels like wearing socks. Requires no break-in at all. I have been looking for the perfect pair of flats for years. I have tried on different brands and 99% of them hurt me badly at the bunions. Some of them seemed fine when I tried on in store but hurt me badly when I started wearing for minutes. I have wide feet, most of ones I tried/bought cut right on the bunions which makes it impossible to walk in them. The cutting of these flats are so perfect. It covers the bunions without looking matronly. They are proper enough to wear with dresses and at the same time they are so chic with jeans. They are the perfect traveling shoes too. I'm going to get them in different colors. Fits true to size. I'm normally between 9 and 9.5 US. Size 9 fits me perfect.

I have two pairs of Frye Carson Ballet shoes. They are very comfortable. I can wear them all day without my feet hurting. They do stretch out and get slightly bigger over time, but like all Frye products, they just get more and more comfortable.

Great shoe to wear with crop pants and denim skirts. If you plan on doing lots of walking, this is not the shoe because it has no arch support. But for meetings, short trips, parties, it is great! Matches a plum Dooney & Bourke I have perfectly. Will be great for fall.

Great flat for any season. It's hard for me to find a flat that won't slip off my heel and this one stays put. I got my usual size 8--the red fit perfectly, but I also ordered a light green color and they were too snug, both in length and width. I will order more in other colors and see how it goes. Love the quality of the leather and the simple, understated style of this shoe.

I can't believe that I waited so long to get these shoes! I got the black leather, as I have been searching for the perfect black ballet flat for what seems like years. They were comfortable straight out of the box, and unlike any ballet flat that I've owned, they have never given me a blister. One thing I love about the Carson is that the binding is soft and flexible, so it doesn't dig into the back of my heel, big toe joint, or little toe joint. They are great for travel, work, and casual wear. I can't wait to get another pair in a different color!

Love these shoes, bought them in two colors! They definitely need to be broken in, like with all Frye soles, they're very slippery at first.

Absolutely LOVE these shoes. I was a little concerned about their fit. I'm a true 7.5, and when I got them, they were tight around my toes and my big toe knuckle. I didn't want to exchange them for a larger size, though, because I knew they would come off the backs of my heels. A friend suggested I use the leather stretch spray. Worked like a charm. I've only worn them a couple times and they're already conforming to my feet nicely. It's so tempting to get 5 more colors!

Love these shoes in patent! This is my second pair in the patent and they fit great. I'm a size 8 in the boots and heels and the 8 fit perfectly. They are great to wear with a cuffed tomboy jean for the summer because a nice feminine touch. Buy these if you can - they won't disappoint!

This shoe is so adorable. The purple is enough color to give a pop to your outfit without being annoyingly purple! I truly love it and also have this slipper in the antique grey color. Because the leather is so buttery soft it seems to stretch maybe a 1/2 size bigger. Ive found that putting in heel cushions does the trick...no more slip. These shoes are very comfortable but have no arch support. They are exactly how they look: a really cute slipper! Also the soles are very slippery at first but once you walk on concrete that goes away! I LOVE THESE and will probably buy in another color...as soon as I decide which one! No disappointment here?

These might be the best flats I've ever owned. The full leather shoe makes these incredibly comfortable from the moment you put them on. I ordered the Sky Textured Nubuck and I love them so much I'm buying another color. I walk a lot at work, and so far I can report these don't rub my foot or cause any discomfort- even at the back heel where cheap ballet flats sometimes rub. The shape is perfect too, very flattering on all feet- even my size 10!
