These boots look beautiful on other people. I had a very, very hard time getting them on, and when i did, they were too narrow on my calf. They would've looked great with dresses, but there was no chance i'd be able to wear them with jeans. Need a lot better fit and more options in order to spend this much money on a boot.

These came in an unmarked box without tissue. Z's says that they buy directly from SW, but these had a wedge heel rather than the heel shown and the box wasn't a SW box. Also, fit very loose in the calf (13.5" max needed).

This is my 3rd pair of 5050 boots; now owned in black nappa, cola suede and navy (nice blue) suede. I absolutely love them all. They make my size 11.5 feet look as hip and classy as a normal sized person. In these I took a half size down in size 11, and they fit amazingly. The fact that SW even do sizes in the first place is simply amazing. I have 26 pairs of their shoes and they all fit amazingly well... next stop will be the reserve boot. Thank you zappos for carrying a wide range of stock and fit the amazing return policy too.

I bought these for myself last year And loved them so much that I bought them for my sister as a gift! Hope she loves as much as I do!!

I have been contemplating buying these boots for the last few Winter seasons, but a bad experience with another Over The Knee boot had me hesitating (for the record that was a $1200 pair of Valentinos that were just impossible to take on and off--huge waste of money!). These SW's are just fabulous. First, they are easy on and off if you take a moment to sit down and roll them down before putting them on or taking off. The quality, comfort and construction are all top notch and the sturdy sole is great for walking around the city. I purchased the black suede and it's exceptionally soft. I liked this combo the best as it blends in great with the elastic back making your legs look a mile long coming and going. These are great with leggings, skinny jeans etc. I have a number of pairs of SWs and I am always a 9 and 1/2. In these boots the 9 and 1/2 had about an extra inch of toe room, the 9 is perfect in length and width. Great purchase!

These are fab. They look and feel great. I love the rubber soles. I ordered what I usually order as my size: 10.5. I did this with some trepidation, since lasts vary so much. I found that the 10.5 is just a smidgen large; not even half a size. But that's perfect! It means I can wear padded gym socks with these boots and get extra soft comfort! I had wanted these black suede ones and was pleased that they were even on sale.

I have skinny calves & had bought so many pairs of boots. I have spent so much money trying to find the perfect pair of boots to fit my skinny calves but long legs. And although I have found some they do not fit my calves & i have to wear thick socks or use boots cuffs to make them look like they fit. This boots hugged my calves & I have never owned anything that hugged my calves. I tried th as soon as I got the package & I loved them!!! I wore them for the first time today and have gotten so many compliments at work (wore them with a short shift dress with a long black blazer to balance the edginess of the boots). I will NEVER buy another pair of boots. Still contemplating because of the cost? I have spent so much money in boots & ABSOLUTELY NONE of the ones I currently have even come close to this pair. BUY THE BOOTS, YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY! And Zappos customer service is THE BOMB!

These boots are absolutely gorgeous! I had them in patent leather for 3 years and wore them almost every day during winter. I bought a second pair in black suede and love them just the same. I love that they come in narrow (with narrower shafts). They fit like a glove. Too bad Zappos does not have them in navy blue, though.

I find this shoe to run true to size with enough room for a sock. This is my second pair my first was 2 years ago and I can tell you I wore them all the time. Great construction, high quality means they also last long and the soles can take the beating of NYC streets. On top of the fact that they are gorgeous and you will get compliments Every time you wear them. I highly recommend them.

I ordered the wide width, I have a high arch and the wide fit much better than the standard size 8. The boots are beautiful, a little hard to get on because the leg is narrow, but once their on, you don’t to take them off.

Gorgeous leather. Wish I could keep them however the wide size is still too narrow for me in the toe box. Also the way the soles are designed is a bit off-kilter for me. Forces an uncomfortable twist in my ankles when I walk.

This is a GORGEOUS boot. But, I think it’s best for someone with a relatively thin calf. It’s incredibly comfy and looks beautiful on. The back of the boot is a stretchy fabric which give them a slim fitting snug look. They wear well with short skirts and dresses. The bottom of the boot is slightly thick which is great as I live and work in an urban area and shoes with thin soles tend not to be as wearable on city streets. Love these boots (not overly crazy about the over the knee half style, but that’s a personal preference and not at all a reflection of the quality or fit of the boot). Amazing quality.

These boots are a classic for a reason. I recommend them for ladies with wider calves. Mine are 15.75" and I wear a 9.5, and these boots fit great. Ultimately I opted for the Reserve style over the 5050 solely because I preferred the almond toe on the Reserve vs. the rounder toe on the 5050's. For someone with larger feet such as myself, I found the Reserves to look slimmer and more refined for going day to night. The 5050's are great boots - but I mention this for anyone unaware of this other great SW style.

I had read other review stating that these worked for people with 17" calves, so I assumed at 16 1/4" calves (when sitting and flexed) these would work for me, sadly they did not. Even on a bare leg, they were much too tight to be comfortable and the excessive tightness caused them to bunch at the ankle (because I couldn't pull them up far enough. They are an absolutely beautiful boot, but in addition to the calf not fitting me comfortably, I ordered the wide width and they were not wide at all. I dont normally require a wide width but wanted to wear a thick ankle sock with these, as they felt very much like a standard width boot to me. Sadly I had to return them, otherwise the style and leather is beautiful, they are really just not for people with wide feet or wide calves, IMO, they just aren't.

You get what you pay for. Exceptional quality and fit. It's so hard to find knee-high boots that fit well and look great. I'm glad I went for the splurge. I expect to be able to wear these for years, rather than continuing to spend $200 each year on something that either wears out or doesn't really fit.

Tough to get my foot in, but finally did (would have helped to have more “slippery” socks on). However, the heel is too tight/narrow, and I’m sure I’d get blisters, so will have to return these. The size of the boot is otherwise good. The calf is very fitted, but in a good way.

A classic must have loved by all the celebrities and for good reason. This boot transforms any look. Definitely a must buy!

Nice boot but wanted more of a heel and waterproof.

Half of boot stretchy fabric and not leather. Leather didn’t look like it would hold up for very long. Seemed cheaply made for such a high priced item. Box was broken upon arrival as well.

I order the Narrow and the wide and they both didn’t fit. I’m so sad.
