These weren’t awful but they weren’t amazing either. I expected something more from a very pricey boot. They also arrived looking like I was at least the tenth person to try these on. I think each person had the same feeling about the boot. I have thin but muscular legs and I felt these would eventually look scrunched on my legs.

An icon of fashion, beauty and comfort. I have 3 pairs and love them all. They bring the perfect edge to any outfit and are comfortable all day long. I notice done reviewers felt these ran large. I disagree. I am a true size 9.5 Wide and these are perfect - I have a very (very) high instep and high arch and have no problem getting them on thanks to the stretchy back and there’s even room for a slim arch support. I do not like my toes squeezed - and hate that feeling of toes touching the front of shoes. If you like a shorter fit - you could opt for a half size down. I do wish that SW still offered the nice blue suede and more colors in wide widths. The colors other than basic black and slate this year were just - well awful - but the basic black Napa, black suede and slate suede are classics that hopefully will remain forever. Expensive for sure with but care they last forever!

I have 3 pairs of 50/50. This boots are not manufactured in Spain in my opinion. The elastic is more rigid.

These boots are GORGEOUS. I wrote a previous review when I had just received them, I've worn them a few times with different types of outfits. Personally, i don't like my bare knees against the top of the boot. I practically felt my knees (front and back) sweating after I got the boots on. I mentioned and so did a few other reviewers that it's infinitely easier to put your [clothed] leg into the boot if you're standing. I prefer to stand near an open window.. it's almost like a workout. MAYBE it will get easier? I doubt it - if it got easier, the boot will start sliding down my leg. REGARDLESS of these little things.. the 5050 boot is still gorgeous, comfortable, looked great with my pencil skirts, knit skirts, circle skirts, long skirts, cigarette jeans, skinny jeans, I mean any jean just has to fit you great in the hips and thighs and you just have to find a way to get your legs in the boots, really.. LOL

These boots are as gorgeous and luxurious in person as everyone says. So I was pleasantly surprised when the Nappa Leather ones went on sale. I actually purchased a few different sizes and widths to make sure I got the best fit (because even discounted, these are still the priciest boots I’ve ever owned). Normally I wear 5M and ended up with 4.5M. I am 5” tall with thin calves and they fit perfectly. Love Zappos and their awesome customer service!

Love the narrow aspect of this boot. I’m very thin and this is the only boot I have found that is snug around my calves!!!

These boots are awesome. I usually wear a 6.5, but I went for a 7 wide in these shoes because I wanted extra room. I bought the 6.5 wide and returned them because they were hard to get on. The size 7W shoes I'm keeping are also a bit hard to get on. They are the only boots to fit my skinny 13 inch calves perfectly. They are stretchy and can be worn with jeans. I reccomend these shoes if you have narrow calves. Also, they go right over my knees and I'm 5' 4". I have spent hours looking for the perfect boots, and this is it!

Everyone says the 5050s run large and don't order up. I am a normal 7.5 but could NOT fit my foot through the ankle area of the boot. I order up to 8. Maybe my arch is high or my ankle doesn't bend enough?? Had to return 7.5.

These boots are amazing. I have a wider foot in the toes, so finding a cute shoe, that fits well, is hard. My sizes range between 9.5 -11 depending on the style or designer. With all that said, I bought these in 10 and 9.5 to see which one feels better. 10 did the trick. They were a little tough to get in and out of at first, but it got much better. The first day I wore them, I had to be out and about from 7:00am -11:00pm. I was comfortable the entire time! I think about all the “just ok” boots that I have spent money on in the past. I could have bought this fabulous pair and actually saved money!! This will be my go to now.

Great otk boots. Yes, they are pricey, but totally worth it. Fit like glove, complement my outfit. With just tees & jeans, it is already effortless chic! Always my last resort when I don’t know what to wear.

Guys... yes these boots are nice but they are just black OTK boots, there is nothing special about them worth the price tag. Also, the top of the toe in the suede ones scuff super easily, I was literally wearing them less than an hour when the first one scuffed. Not worth the price

These are my third pair of 5050s (I have black and grey suede and black leather) and fourth pair of Stuart Weitzman boots which says it all. The ones I purchased years ago look virtually new and with care, they last forever. I love everything about the 5050 and even with my very high instep - getting them on is no problem at all. They are comfortable for all day and I can easily walk 2-3 miles comfortably. I wear them year around. These run generous in size - I’m a 9-9.5 in shoes but often purchase a 10 in boots and didn’t need to with these. I also have a wide foot and like plenty of toe room - it drives me crazy to have my toes squished and the rounded toe shape of the 5050 fits perfectly. The biggest difference is shopping at Zappos - simply always the best. Great size and color selections. I purchased and then realized I neglected to add a coupon and I only needed to call and the agent made the change for me. Plus - if they don’t fit you can exchange!

I was thrilled to get a boot that fit my 10.5 feet without being huge in the calf! These boots are fine with my 12' calves, and are very comfortable over the knee. I have high arches and these were pretty flat, so I bought Dr. a Scholl's insert with arch support. The insert does not go all the way to the toes, so you still have toe room. The boots look great, but I need to be careful to not mark up the suede. The leather may be ore practical , but love the look!

Comfortable and snug. Not quite a true wide. If you are in between medium and wide, these are perfect. They go up the leg not far behind the lowlands. Nice looking with skirts and pants. Like other comments I have seen posted over the web, it was sooo hard to choose between these and the lowlands. After trying them on with different outfits and comparing and thinking it over a few hours and getting my sons opinion I ultimately I went with the lowlands. The back of the 50/50s is more casual. Many people can’t decide and keep both or get these in nubuck and keep the suede lowlands. I would have done the same but they are sold out of the nubucks in 8 wide. Too bad! Maybe next year. Great boots.

I usually wear 9 1/2 M or 9W. I bought these in 9W, but the width seems more like M. I thought about exchanging these for 9 1/2 W, but I decided to get the Blonde pair instead.

Wonderful boot. I just purchased my second pair of the same exact boot after I wore the same ones 5 years in a row. A great buy, sexy, comfortable and look great both with leggings or skirts.

I have very skinny legs , its almost impossible to find over the knee boots that would hug my legs and not stick out and be too wide on calves or ankles. This boots just perfect for my type of legs i was avoiding these boots for couple of years due to the price and was trying to find something cheaper. But in the end i lost more money buying cheaper ones and replacing them because they've stretched out and just slides down. SW boots will survive many years and will look brand new if you take a good care of it. I am so happy i finally got them and its exactly what i was searching for ! My size is 7.5 following people's suggestions i ordered a size 7 and it fits perfectly with a tiny bit of space for a thicker sock . The boots came in original box in spotless perfect condition and thanks to Zappos i ordered them in late afternoon and received next day !

Love this boot. I have it in 3 colors and, even though the burgundy (suede) is one size too big, I wear it with thicker socks. The stretch panel is violet. Lovely contrast! I have them in black and brown (leather) and I wear them all day long, pounding the pavement in New York City in the fall and winter. I’m not sure why they’re so comfortable – normally I require a thicker sole. These are perfect.

What's not to love. I bought these because they were on sale - after all they are normally over $600 and I already have the black and the brown, in leather. This wine color, in the suede is luscious. I build my outfit around the boots ; brighten it up in spring with bright blues and pair with autumn colors in the fall, darks in winter where the boots add a splash of color. The expanding panel in the back is a different shade, more of an amethyst but really beautiful. I think these tend to run a bit long but my size was unavailable so I went with my normal size. The extra room doesn't bother me. Love this boot.

Love it! I bought 7.5W and it fits perfectly. I have big calves - 16.5in and high arc. Color asphalt is brown-gray, suede part more gray, fabric part more brown.

I have waited for almost two years to find the 5050's in a color other than black as well as at a price I can afford. It was well worth the wait. The Hickory Brown and Asphalt Gray colors popped up on Zappos at nearly 50 percent off. I immediately ordered them. I have wide feet so often wear a size 9 in shoes with a narrower toe. However these boots fit me perfectly in an 8.5. The colors and material are beautiful and rich and the comfort is beyond description. They elongate my legs and I am hoping for another cold snap so I can wear them before the weather warms up and I have to wait until fall. Highly recommend them and I so appreciate Zappos notifying me when they finally became available.

These boots fit true to size. I appreciated That they arrived a day earlier than promised. I got excellent service.

This is my second pair of 5050 boots (these in “Hickory,” my first in dark blue). The Hickory color is a nice dark brown, darker and less orangey than it looks on my monitor but YMMV. I actually like the color of the suede better than I expected because of that. However, the elastic back is not exactly the same color as the suede. The difference is small, but noticeable. Not quite as elegant as the dark blue pair which have more closely matched suede and elastic. I ordered this pair in a 7.5W, up a full size from my usual 6.5W, to fit winter socks. The length feels about right for a 7.5. But like all Stuart Weitzman shoes, the “wide” sizes are too narrow in the forefoot—more like a normal width. Also like all SW shoes, these have flat footbeds with zero arch support, and not enough volume to add an insert. For the life of me I will never understand why shoes at this price point cannot be made with proper arch support. Or better yet with removable cushioned footbeds that could be taken out to make room for those of us who care about the long-term health of our feet to choose more supportive or even custom footbeds. I have a very similar style of La Canadienne boots in black that I prefer because they are slightly less tall, are water resistant, aren’t quite as snug/painted-on looking, and are a bit more suited to my foot shape. But only the 5050s offer colors other than black in this style.
