Great shoe. Took a little while longer to break in than the previous version. Not sure why, but was fighting a blister, but the ride was smooth. If you have worn the Nimbus stick with them, otherwise if you are looking for a great ride on a neutral shoe, spend a few extra dollars and enjoy!

I had always been an Asics Kayano fan, but after purchasing the Kayano 16 and wearing them around the house for a few hours, I wasn't completely sold on the cushioning and comfort. They seemed very flat and thinly cushioned on the ball of the foot - right where I need the most support. I decided to trade them in for the Gel Nimbus 12. What a difference! It's like night and day as far as padding and comfort are concerned. They have the perfect balance of stability and cushion. I plan to use these on a vacation that will include a lot of walking. I am so glad I listened to my instincts and traded the Kayano in before I wore them outside! Now I love everything about my new shoes! I had to go up a half size for the proper fit.

Extremely comfortable, even after a 12 hour shift on my feet all day. True to size. Love Zappos service. Would buy again.

I bought these to replace a pair of Gel Nimbus shoes from 2005. I'm normally a size 7, but knew to buy a size 8 because that's what size my old ones are. Oh, and I originally got this model because I have supinated feet. The shoes are very comfy, as expected. I haven't exercised in them much at all though! The one thing that did throw me a bit was that the laces line up at an angle going toward the side of the shoe. I thought it was a defect at first, but then looked closely at the product pictures and I guess that's just how they're designed.

I purchased these as an upgrade to my current Asics running shoes. Due to having bad knees, I need to have a shoe with decent support and bounce. These are perfect. The off center lacing takes some getting use to but, once you break them in after a few good runs, they are ideal. I would highly recommend these shoes for any level of runner.

Love these sneakers! I don\'t run, but they\'re great to wear walking around. Most comfortable sneaker I\'ve ever owned (even without socks)!

Really great shoe. I had been using a pair of Asics which were not as supportive. Now I have no shin splints and can go for miles with legs not hurting. These are great!

I have not had a pair of athletic shoes I like so well in a long time. They were true to size and feel so supportive without being heavy. I will be ordering another pair. Have recommended to several friends. Love, love them!

Very comfortable shoe. I have been teaching group exercise classes for over 30 years. I suffer from arthritis, bone spurs, and neuromas. It is almost impossible to find athletic shoes with good cushioning and support in a narrow width. I used to wear Nike. I'm a convert.

Love Asics Nimbus! The arch and heel support is excellent. They do run small so definitely buy a 1\/2 size to full size larger than your usual shoe size.

Since I got these I have not had the opportunity to do much running, so I am unable to describe their performance under pressure. However, these are very comfortable. I tried on about 8 other pairs at a store before getting these. So far, so good. I usually wear an 8 and needed a 7.5 in these.

I am an under-pronator and had read that these shoes would be good for that condition. A few weeks in and I am very impressed. They're comfortable, they look snazzy, and I don't feel myself "rolling out" like I did in my old Nikes. Other reviews say they run large...I am normally a 10 or 11, so I just went with the 11, and they fit great.

Nimbus 12 is more comfortable than 11. There is more padding, like walking on air! No more hip, back pain. I put a tiny arch support to relieve bunion problems and I am set to walk my dog, twice a day now! I always get a half size larger because I use thicker socks. I liked the 11 but had to replace them every 3-4 months so I hope the 12's hold up better. Thanks to Zappos for fast delivery and to Asics for their improvements.

I purchase the Gel-Nimbus newest style each year. I love the shoe and have tried others and always come back to the Gel-Nimbus. I ordered the shoe at 6:30 PM EST and had the shoes the next day at 6:30PM EST. I was shocked! I didn't even ask or pay for overnight shipping and I had my new running shoes. What great service! The best part is the toe box which give your toosties lots of room. Really nicely padded and the laces are very cool. Good for stabilization.

Hard to believe, but these are even better than the Gel-Nimbus 11 I had last year! I wear mine with orthopedic inserts due to a history of achilles tendinitis, and they are perfect for long-distance running. Favorite sneakers ever!

Love these shoes! I work in a hot environment with concrete floors and they cushion my foot for the whole shift. Wasn\'t sure about the offset ties but it seems to help with my under-pronations issues. Also know I can always count on Zappos for fast shipping and great customer service! A little ticked that they went on sale shortly after I bought them, darnit!

Asics is the one running shoe I always come back to. I like to try out different brands and usually have 3 or 4 pairs of running shoes to alternate. With my high arch and wide foot, it's hard to find comfortable running shoes. These feel wonderful from the first time I run in them, with no blisters or rubbing. The padding is excellent and they feel good whether I'm running 2 miles or 6 miles. I highly recommend the Gel-Nimbus!

I've been wearing the Asics Nimbus for a long time. The Nimbus 12 is GREAT! It is like running on pillows. I find it even more comfortable than the Nimbus 11.

These shoes are great, very comfortable, lots of cushion for my tired feet, if you tend to walk towards the outside of your foot I would highly recommend these shoes and of course Zappos is the best place to order from.

These are the most cushiony Asics & I highly recommend them. Am 5'6", 130 lb. age 59. I always size up a half or full size for a running shoe, & did for these. Have worn Asics Cumulus every day for 2 years, & love them for their wonderful cushioning, arch support & mesh. This time around, I tried the Nimbus & found them superior in cushioning, which is so important to me. Also, I have a moderate bunion and need to be very careful about what my feet can live in, and these are fine. The mesh always helps with that, & also makes them breathable & lightweight. The off-center lacing is unusual to see at first, but it feels to be an improvement. Terrific shoes.
