I am 5'6";, 160 lbs. size 9 wide. I think all shoe reviewers should give their specs for best info for others. Super comfy, but feels whole size shorter than marked (shorter). I usually wear 8.5, buy 9 in running shoes. This one in 9 bumped my big toe so re-ordered with size 9.5. Hope it fits as I like the shoe otherwise. Felt so cushiony. Nice and wide for wide feet and bunions. Zero constriction. The lace up area is off angle and feels right. Maybe it will prevent tongue sliding out of place? I hope.

This is a great running shoe as long as you're not an overpronator or a heel-strike runner. I just started running about a month ago and have learned the hard way that I have need stability shoes to correct my mild overpronating. The Asics GT-2170 is great for stability and is highly recommended. As long as you're a neutral runner, this shoe does a great job. I wouldn't recommend it to people who need more stability, though.

I bought these sneakers because I read that they were super cushioned in the forefoot and my forefoot had been bothering me. They have awesome cushioning. However I feel like this and the last pair of Asics that I bought slip a bit at my heel. Not enough to blister, but they seem a tad uncomfortable because of it, but I am sure half a size smaller would be too tight. And I have gotten used to them. I just wish they did not have the slippage because they are super cushioned and otherwise great shoes.

Great shoe - seems to break in fairly quickly. The width seems to be a bit narrow compared to the Nimbus 11. I have a fairly average width foot, but probably should have ordered a wide width.

I originally purchased a size 8 med. because that is what always fit me in Asics. I wore them for a bit and realized that the toe box and heel cup in this particular shoe was way to big for me. I ended up going to a 7.5 med., and they fit like a glove! So I wonder if this particular shoe was made with the shoe last or is the form for this model bigger than usual? With the right size this shoe is awesome especially at this price.

These shoes are great, very comfortable. I have a little wider foot which seems to be a good fit with these shoes.

Shoe seems to do fine while I'm running. When I first started I would get sore spots but that might have been from the breaking-in process. The length seems a little longer than other size 8's I've worn but not too bad.

Disappointed that shoe was too small. I usually can guarantee that an 8.5 will fit me, but my toes touched the tip of these shoes.

Love these shoes! I bought a half size bigger than normal because I wear orthotics for running. They feel like slippers. And the black/purple color is very stylish!

I bought this shoe because I wanted to branch out. My old running shoes are heavy and I was looking for a lighter shoe and the Gel-Nimbus is light. My feet feel great in the shoe and it is comfortable.

This sneaker felt too short and too wide esp. in the heel for me. I'm a 9 1/2 in my old Asics and had to re-order this model in a 10 AA. I hope it fits because I could tell it was otherwise comfortable. I walk 3 plus miles a few days a week and my podiatrist recommended it for my bunion pain.

My Podiatrist recommended this brand. At first it felt a bit short, but I removed the insert, wore them for a while then put the insert back in, pushing it towards the heel. This worked. They do feel a bit wide for a Narrow (AA) width. I'd prefer more arch support, but overall I am happy with the shoes.

I recently started training for a marathon and have been running in a pair of Nikes, but as I increased my mileage I thought I might want to try something with a bit more cushioning. I had heard good things about ASICS and decided to give these a try. To be honest, I prefer my Nikes. These shoes were decent, but I have really high arches and they just didn't fit right. I ran 3 miles in them the first time I wore them and by the end my knees and shins hurting. Something that hadn't happened before on longer runs w/ my Nikes. I do agree with the other reviews that there is plenty of cushioning in this shoe but I also found them to be a bit stiff (maybe they just need to be broken in for a bit). They were also pretty heavy compared to the Nikes I was using. Overall these weren't a bad pair of running shoes, they just weren't for me. For the record I've been running in the Nike Air Pegasus +27. If you have really high arches you might want to give these a try. I'll think I'll try the Air Pegasus+28 instead.

Shoe was very comfortable. Wasn't too crazy about the mesh material, but could have lived with it, but the laces are off center. This would have driven me crazy every time I looked down at my feet. Why would they do such a thing? I normally wear a 9 and ordered a 9.5 as I usually do for running shoes and they fit great.

Since I am a runner, I was looking for a pair of shoes that had good cushioning. I tried many different pairs, but these were keepers. They had great cushioning on bottom and on the heel area. The only reason why I wouldn't give them 5 stars, is because they make my feet hot. My other pair of shoes that I wear for strength training are Inov-8s and they are much cooler.

Great shoe. I have a wide boxy foot with high instep and sooo comfy. Lots of cushion. Not sure why the laces are off center by toebox; wish laces weren't trimmed in blue; and I'd prefer that all shoes lose the shiny silver trims, but you can't beat the comfort.

These are the only athletic shoes I ever put on that did not hurt for awhile. Amazing! A little more arch support would be nice, but overall, would buy these shoes again and again and again.

The lacing is off centered and I didn't notice that in the desciption. OK but not as comfortable as other ASICS gel versions that I've had before.

I run pretty much daily and these shoes proved to be quite comfortable. The only thing was that they do make my feet a little hot. I normally don't have a problem with my feet getting hot, but in these they do. Otherwise, they have good cushioning on the bottom. The heel area is very cushioned and supportive at the same time. All in all they are good running shoes.

I returned these shoes so I can't comment on how well they wear. I have wide feet and found the toebox to be perfectly roomy for my wide feet. The heel cup fit snugly and the length of the shoe felt like a true size 9. I also loved the look of the black shoe, even though the sides of the shoe are quite shiny. Unfortunately, I am sending them back because they don't have enough cushion for my needs. I don't see these being comfortable enough for standing at work for hours.

This is a better than average running shoe. It runs true to size, and does not have that much arch support. This shoe is good for someone with low arches. They have a lot of cushion and felt good right out of the box, no break in time.

The ASICS Gel-Nimbus 12 is really stylish and comfortable to wear. I've been training for my half-marathon with my Gel-Nimbus, and the only complaint I have with the shoes is that they pinch my inner heels. I have never had this problem with other brands before, but then again, I have never trained for a half-marathon before either. All in all, I am satisfied with the shoes. They do feel better after 2 1/2 weeks use.

Very supportive. A little tight around heel so will have to break in more than usual. Had to re-order 1/2 size larger to get length right.

I normally wear 7N. These run small. I would recommend going a half size up. I did not like the color, too shiny metallic for my taste.

I'm struggling to decide whether I like this shoe - or not. The cushioning is good, the off-center lacing isn't an issue (and might be beneficial for those who have discomfort on the tops of their feet from traditional lacing systems), and the style is fine. There's just something about this one that doesn't feel quite right, and I've happily worn Asics shoes for years. I ended up getting a half size smaller, as I was "swimming" in my normal size. While I'll probably keep these (I usually buy two pairs of shoes shoes, different brands, at the same time), I found the Adidas Supernova Adapt to provide a better fit for my foot. Two thumbs up to Zappos...I ordered on Sunday and the shoes arrived on Tuesday.
