Great fitting shoes. I have high arches and wide feet. I've usually worn New Balance higher end models in size 13-4E. This is my first pair of Asics running shoes. They fit slightly tighter than my previous New Balance pairs (the Asics fit actually feels better for my foot shape). The Gel_Nimbus 12 also have slightly better arch support. The 13-4E size is probably equivalent to something like a 13-3E in New Balance sizing. I under-pronate (supinate) a bit and these running shoes help correct my slightly non-neutral gait. I am also a big guy: Six foot and two inches, over 220 pounds. The level of support and cushioning is excellent, even for a person my size. The only low point is the footbed. Like most running shoes in this price range, the included footbeds are quite low quality. I replaced mine with an aftermarket heat-moldable SOLE DK model. With upgraded footbeds I can safely say that this pairing makes for the best running shoes I've worn. Amazing arch support and overall comfort. I am confident that the aftermarket footbeds will outlast the shoes (which I'l likely replace with the same model when the time comes).

This was the first time I ordered or even visited Zappos. Had to find a certain sneaker for my hard to fit and hard to please son. Found it immediately on Zappos, in a wide selection of colors and widths. The site was very easy to navigate, ordering and setting up my account was a breeze, and shipping was free. When the sneakers were delivered within 2 days, I was amazed. I am a very happy customer.

I have been running for quite some time and have tried TONS of different shoes. In the past two years,I have purchased numerous brands hoping to find solid support and high comfort. I have tried: Brooks, Nike, New Balance, and Saucony. For a long time I was a big fan of the Nike Vomero's (3 and 4) but for some reason Nike went the other direction and their last two have been trash. I had recently been battling a killer case of shin splints and read the reviews on these and decided to purchase. Best shoes I've worn! Ran 5 miles today with absolutely no pain. You will not be disappointed in these. No break-in time at all. Pop open the box, tie 'em up, and hit the road!

I have been running in Asics since 1984. These are great. I run 50+ miles a week and I run in these every other day. I run in my other Asics the other days. They are reasonably priced. The most wonderful thing about the Asics Gel-Nimbus 12s is that you do not have to double knot the shoe strings. They stay tied whether it is a 7 mile or 17 mile run. Good stuff.

I've run in Asics for about 5 years and usually run in a similar model shoe. I think this was the priciest I ever bought but they are awesome. Durable, comfortable especially in the heal area. They are breathable which is great in the Texas heat and they look freakin' cool! I get lots of compliments, even though it's all about performance for me. I run about 4 times a week 4-5 miles...these should last 9-12 months, me thinks.

Great shoes! Help my feet feel better at the end of the day. I bought these because Zappos showed that they helped with Supination, a condition I have where you tend to walk on the sides of your feet. Zappos made it easy to understand why my feet hurt, and gave me hundreds of shoes to select from that helped with supination. I got them quickly and easily, and liked them so much, I told my son about it (he has the same problem with the way he walks), bought him a pair and Zappos had them to us the next day! Wow, that's amazing service! I am now a loyal Zappos.com customer. I've never received such great service from any other shoe source, including the expensive department stores (where the shoe salesman didn't know anything about how to correct the problem that was making my feet sore at the end of the day). I highly recommend these shoes, they help you to stand correctly, are very comfortable and you can't beat the Zappos.com service!

This is my 5th pair of the Nimbus 12. Great shoes. I am a large runner that overpronates and needs a stability shoe, and this is perfect for me. Much softer than the Kayano, and easier to run in. I have very wide feet, so the 4EE wide shoes fit perfect. Just finished my Ironman last fall and the shoes hold up through all kinds of training.

Very comfortable shoe right out of the box. My 2nd pair of Asics and I am sold on this brand. I had the Asics Gel-Trabuco 11 WR for trail shoes previously in a size 11; the Nimbus 12 I got in 10.5 and they are a perfect fit for a running shoe. I fully recommend this for anyone that needs extra cushioning without the extra weight.

Wow, is all I can say! These shoes are more than comfortable. The second I slipped them on it felt like pillows for my feet. They have a nice bounce feel to them as well. And last but not least the Neon Orange really stands out and I love that about these Asics! Pick up a pair and you will not be disappointed, Nike who?!

Good shoe and holds up to the pounding I put on them. I am a very husky fellow I also have custom arch supports these shoes provide a good deal of cushion and support. They aren't the cheapest but they certainly are worth the money.

I have really struggled finding a shoe that did not hurt my feet after running. I don't run a ton, but I usually run 4 days a week and other shoes felt like they were bruising my feet. These shoes are a welcome end to that foot pain. I love these shoes. They have such great cushioning and support. I am going to buy another pair and have on hand when I am ready to get new running shoes.

Took me about 3 tries to find a shoe that fit my 12 W foot and these are by far the best, I actually just ordered a second pair. And the service of Zappos was second to none with the easy shipping both ways.

This shoe rocks. I am 6'1" 225 lbs. I will never wear another shoe. Converted by wife into a Nimbus wearer also.

I absolutely love 'em. I have always worn the 2160 line, but took a chance on these. I am 6'6", 210 pounds and wanted a bit more cushion. Plus, everyone loves the look of the black+orange combo.

This my third pair pf the Nimbus. First one was the 11 series, second and third pair was the 12 series. I think the 13 was just released. I have a very neutral foot with a medium to slightly high arch and weigh in the 260-270lb range, 6' 5" and have had pretty good luck with cushioning. The Kayano for a good chunk of money more does not offer any more cushion or stability for neutral runners but does have stability control for pronators. I had started to notice and bit of cushion breakdown at about 260 miles. Keep in mind my size. Training for a half marathon and the runs were getting longer 6-8 miles when I ordered a new pair. Lots of good shoes out there but this one feels the best in the footbed from heel to toe for me. I do not have wide feet but the widest part is a bit longer than standard so my little toe tends to roll over the outer edge a bit on some shoes so I went with the wide. The forefoot seems pretty cushioned but not too soft and I have had not blister issues with several different types and materials of socks.

These shoes are very comfy. I'm not a huge runner but I thought I could use a nice pair for when I do. These did not disappoint. I have high arches and these are comfortable even without a custom insert. The wides are great.

You know who you are if this shoe is for you. The offset lacing, excellent venting, mesh to keep the rocks out, snug in the heel box, laces that stay tied and that is just the topside. Underfoot, soft cushioned heel strikes, smooth roll off to the forefoot, yet stable enough not to be mushy. I have run in these for years and like them very much. Just finished the LA marathon, no pain at all! High mileage is what these are for! You will not be disappointed.

I have been running on the Gel Nimbus for about 6 years. Some models have been better than others. The 12 is awesome! Very cushioned feeling. The laces that go off to the side looked a little weird at first, but it's ridiculously comfortable. I am a big fan. I went with the black and orange look. I love it - and if you want to tone it down a bit you can always just change the laces. I score it as "true to width", but I have a wide foot and have always fit into the Nimbus well.

These have quickly become my favorite Asics for distance training as they offer slightly more cushioning than the Gel-1100 series with minimal additional weight. Arch support is good and the width is snug, but compliant. There is good room for me in the toe box and the length is what I expected - I wear a 10.5 shoe and this fits perfectly for me in a 10.5. The Nimbus 12 changed the lacing pattern slightly - it comes up the top of the foot at a slight angle. I thought this might cause some discomfort at longer distances, but it has not. Still a great shoe.

Glad I went back the Gel-Nimbus. Always wore them in the past but "upgraded" to the Gel-Kayanos, which was a mistake as they were nowhere near as comfortable. They fit great! The only change I made was to replace the too bright orange laces with silver/black one. The orange laces were just too much. Overall though, the shoes are great!

I've been running in the Nimbus for about 5 years now. Of all the series of the shoe I have been through, this one was the easiest to run in right out of the box. The charcoal/neon orange is also great from the visibility standpoint.

This is the only shoe that I run in these days. It has unbelievable cushioning and just the right amount of arch support. I use this shoe for long runs, track work and competition. I am 46 years old and my last 5k was 19:32. Proof that I am a serious runner and this is a serious shoe. I have three pairs.

This is a great shoe! I've had a pair of Gel-Nimbus 11 and these are a bit better. I have wide feet, and as others have noted 4EE from Asics is not as wide as from other shoe companies (a 4EE from Nike for example is wider). To compensate for that I went up a half size (usually get 9.5, went up to 10). And that works great for me. Not too long and not loose - as long as you tie them up tight. What I love most about these shoes is the cushioning. I usually run on the treadmill and I'm just getting used to running outside on pavement this year. This shoe has helped absorb the shock - which helps keep the sore knees and aches and pains to a minimum. I'm sticking with Ascis.
