Love, love, love these boots. I especially love that they're mid-calf. I'm 5'2" so any 'Tall' boot makes me look short and stumpy. But not these. Great color option, too. I purchased the Aubergine, which isn't a typical boot color, but that's what I wanted--something atypical. I normally wear a 7, but I lucked out and was able to try the boot on in a store and learned that a full size smaller was the better fit. I have a wide foot and even with a thick sock there's still some wiggle room. The only thing I need to invest in are knee high socks as this boot is prone to rubbing against my small calves. That may not be an issue for some people, but I tend to bruise easily. I'm thrilled I made the purchase. Here in NYC we don't get tons of rain but sometimes the street puddles can resemble small moats. With these boots I just shuffle right through them without fear. I would definitely recommend the investment.

I love these rain boots. I was debating between getting the tall or short ones and I am really happy I chose the short! I was also hesitant about which size to order because I am a women's 9½ and they run large, but I went with the 9 and they fit perfectly! I definitely recommend these boots!

As a horse back rider, I've been coveting these boots for ages. Glad I finally splurged. These shoes are not just for the barn, I wear them whenever it looks even mildly rain threatening. I had tried them on before, so I knew I would love, and I knew my size. Order down.

I wanted a good rain boot, and these fit the bill. I have very muscular calves so I was worried about the regular Hunters not fitting. The short fit fine, and I was even able to tuck my jeans inside the boots (I'm 5'4", so the height works). I'm usually a 6.5 or 7 and the size 37 fits well with a normal sock.

I am extremely pleased with these boots. I originally bought the tall, but had to return them because they were tight at the top, and felt heavy to walk in. I purchased the short instead, and they are perfect - comfortable, well made, and they look great! You will not be disappointed.

Chose the Hunter Short over the Hunter Original because I have generally accepted that my wide calves will never allow me to wear tall boots. These fit quite nice and are definitely roomy. I am a true 7.5, and in whole sizes, I wear 7. I bought this in 7, and it's a bit larger than I would like. I didn't return it, because I didn't want to it to be small and be too difficult to take off. Note that my roommate with size 9 feet could fit in these, but were tight for her. Also, I would only wear these with socks that come above the boot. Okay to walk in, but wouldn't go hiking in them or anything like that. Perfect for going to class, running errands, etc., in rainy climates.

Love my new boots! For those of you trying to find the socks for the shorter boot -- I purchased the "youth" socks in Medium. I wear a women's size 8 and the youth medium fit perfectly! I would not recommend this for anyone with a size larger; they will be too tight. They are short enough to fold over the top; I had to tuck in about 1/2 inch of the sock into the boot -- very manageable.

I must first compliment Zappos on the wonderful service it provides its customers. Bravo! I originally ordered the Hunter knee boot. I felt it looked a bit "clown like" on me. I returned them and ordered the short Hunter instead. I love them. They are much cuter on than pictured. I ordered the chocolate brown. I think they will be just perfect for my needs.

The boots are great. 5 stars really the best. Fits true to size but allows for heavy socks. But the real star is Zappos. I ordered the wrong size, needed the boots in 3 days. I ordered the 2nd pair after work and Zappos had them sitting on my door stop the next day when I got home. They expedited the shipping for me. Just wonderful service. Very fast refund (not to mention free return shipping on the first pair). Service like this is rare and I am now a permanent customer. Thanks Zappos!

I am really happy with these boots. Not only are they really cute, but they are also well-made without being too heavy or clunky. Thanks to the previous reviewers who advised on ordering a size smaller (I ordered down a size and they fit great).

Somehow it was very hard to find the right size in NYC, perhaps because it was a rainy season? Zappos speed rocks and Hunters work great, just pair them with thicker socks, like athletic ones.

I love my Hunter boots! Soon after I received them, a cold rain came to my town. They were fabulous! Keep my feet dry and warm. And they look great too!

Great boots, comfortable. I have very thin legs and they are pretty big at the top. Next time I might try the taller ones.

I love these boots! I opted to get the short instead of the tall as I couldn’t try on the tall boots and was afraid they would come up past my knee. Incredibly comfortable! Also, the ball of my foot is a bit wide and I was concerned they might be too tight, but they have plenty of room for my feet to wiggle.

Love the boots! I was glad I ordered a size 7 even though I normally wear a 7.5 because they run a bit large. The boots arrived in less than 24 hours, which was great!

I read other reviews of these boots and saw that they ran bigger than they were marked. Usually, I wear a size 8 so I ordered these in a woman's size 7. They fit perfectly! With the rain that we keep getting around here I knew I would definitely need a cute, stylish, comfy rain boot! You will not be disappointed with this boot!

I've never been inspired to write a review of anything before....I really love these boots! Comfortable, well made, and cute. I've gotten many compliments. I'm glad I got the short style-easy on and off, easy to tuck the pants in quick and go. I think they must run a bit large because I normally wear a 9 1/2, occasionally 10, and the 40-41 fits perfectly. My feet are quite wide, with a high instep, and with a thick wool sock (necessary for a chilly Minnesota spring) these fit like a glove. If they were any smaller at all I'd go up a size. The tread is substantial and makes me feel a little more safe on an injured ankle which I try to protect. I have never had rain boots before and I am a convert-they are perfect for mucking around at the cabin, going to the dog park, taking the kids on city expeditions, and navigating slushy slippery wet sidewalks. And I recommend Zappos to anyone and everyone- love that super fast delivery!

I love these boots! They were a great investment for winter weather, well into spring rain. I prefer the shorter boots to the original ones, as a shorter person (I'm 5’2”). In terms of sizing, I would order a size down, as they run kind of large. Also, with the shorter boots, the optional fleece socks don't fit well, and I had to return the ones I had purchased. All in all, a great buy!!

I am in between sizes. I’m a 6.5 so I ordered both the 6 and 7. The 6’s fit but my big toe is at the edge. I am keeping fit sumner days when I don’t want to wear thick socks. The 7’s are too big but I bought the boot liner and now they fit snugly without my heel slipping.

It's tough to comment on the size, because they don't make half sizes (and that's what I really need!). This time, instead of ordering larger, I went smaller. The boots fit, but won't be comfortable for very long periods of wear.

I wear an 8 and went a little smaller. They fit my feet but are a little snug in the calf. Difficult to take on and off.

Hunter really should consider half-sizing. I'm sure I'm not alone in that one size is too big and next size down is way too small. I'm keeping the larger size, knowing that I'll just have to wear thicker socks, since the quality is better than most rain boots.
