Finally broke down and bought a pair of Hunter boots after wearing too many cheapo throw-away rainboots. These are well worth the investment! I have plantar fasciitis and these are very supportive compared to most rain boots. Very sturdy with good traction. One thing to note, a pair of liners comes with the boot. I will be trying these out in winter weather as the liner is quite warm!

Based on other reviews to order a size down, I bought a size 7 - they were too short, and I got the size 8 instead, which fits me perfectly (I normally wear a size 8-8.5). I have the long Hunter boots as well, and they have a different sole than this style, I wish this style came with that same sole. It will take a little getting used to the very square, slightly too high, heel on these when walking around.

Love these Hunters! They make going out in the rain not such a big deal. My only complaint is that you have to buy the sock inserts to make them fit, because they do run big.

The color is lovely and the quality seems good. I have rather muscular calves and the boot just fits, so this is just a slight problem. I would recommend these to others.

Totally love the boot but the only problem is the width. The boot fits really snug around my lower leg and I can't fit my jean legs inside. I recommend Hunter making the width of boots a little bigger for people with thick legs. The reason why I purchased the short boot is because the Huntress will not fit my legs, and that boot is supposed to be for people that have bigger calves. Not!

My first pair of rain boots - I like these, they are well made, will last a long time. Be careful on the sizing, I usually wear an 8.5-9, but they were huge. Wound up getting the 8 - perfect.

Boot is amazing, my only complaint is the white waxy residue on it. I ordered the Goo Gone spray gel and UV tech protectant to clean them, but after paying so much for them it should be nice and shiny, instead I spent more money on it. Overall, I am happy with them though!

These are the most stylish rain boots around. The dark purple is a surprising neutral. Add the fleece liners and they can double as a snow boot. Versatile and stylish, who can ask for anything more? Order a size down than your normal, even with the liners.

Wow - these boots are made exceptionally well. I ended up having to return them because they didn't fit comfortably around my athletic calves, and the height looked a bit strange on my 5'5" frame. If you have average-sized calves or smaller, however, I don't think you can go wrong with these boots' quality or fit. The aubergine color is probably a versatile one for most, but it was also a bit darker than I expected upon seeing them in person.

I typically wear a size 7 or 7. Even with thick socks, these boots were too big in the foot. I am 5'2" and have larger (15") calves, and these boots "fit" them. There was some hope of tucking pants into them, but when wearing with a skirt the boots would rub my calf muscle in a very uncomfortable way. Perhaps they would work for someone taller? On the positive side, they were much better constructed than my last pair of rain boots. These are meant to last a lifetime of wear and tear, and I have no doubt that they would do just that.

I was waiting until Hunter started making wellie socks to go with the shorter boots, and now they make great cold weather boots! I am a size 8/39 and without the sock in there the boot felt much bigger than that, so beware. But overall it's adorable and exactly what I wanted in a comfortable boot.

I like the boots. Got green and they were exactly as pictured. The boots are sturdy and not too wide for my narrow-ish feet. The opening is not generous. If you have larger calves this boot might be too tight. I bought mine for field dog walks. First time out the leash caught on one of the cute side buckles and ripped the rubber. The buckles are decorative only. Bottom provides good traction on slick grass.

I ordered the Aubergine color. The appearance online is pretty accurate. I was hoping it would look like a very dark purple, but it just looked like navy blue.

Really not impressed with these and especially don't like the white "bloom" that appears (you can mostly get rid of it by rubbing them with olive oil or google it online). They keep the rain out. You can do that for a lot less. Would not buy again.

Well made product. However, the top edge of the shaft scraped against the back of my calf and gave me a bruise. It could be the shape of my calf, but since these boots aren't meant to fit like a glove, it could be a problem for others, too.

These were sorely disappointing. I have a red pair and love them! But these feel much thinner and flimsier. The fit is not right.

I decided to try these boots once again hoping they might be using a different manufacturer than the boots I ordered and returned in the Spring. I sooo want to own these boots but they fit so much smaller than my tall Hunters. I have tried a size up to no avail.

This would have been my first pair of Hunter rain boots. They are hip to be sure but a different pair I purchased at Target years ago were much more comfortable and practical both in the rain and the snow. I wore these to the market on a day that was supposed to be very rainy. But I believe the weight of the boots caused me great pain in the large joint of my left big toe. It was a pain so excruciating that I had to remove them and resort to walking barefoot (thankfully it hadn’t started raining)! I returned them the next day. Thank you Zappos for having such an excellent return policy! I even purposely bought the shorter version of these to avoid dealing with the weight of the great quality rubber of these boots. I know this isn’t the case for everyone but I wanted to give an honest review.

I had previously ordered the tall ones but they didn't fit around my wide(r) calf. Next I tried wide calf and was horrified. They are baggy around the ankles...imagine baggy plastic. Finally tried these to see if they would work. Site recommended ordering up when between sizes, I wear a 9.5 (womens) and got the 10 (womens). They swallow me and my foot lifts out with each step. Hits at the widest part of my calf which is very unflattering. Guess Hunter Boots are just not for me. Think they are mostly for very tall and thin girls with even sized feet. Will not be re-ordering another style or size

Loved the look but this pair seemed like two different boots. Either way they were very difficult to get on and most certainly to get off!

I bought these boots twice, since I liked the way they looked. They did not last at all. The rubber started pealing on both pairs (looked gross) and they weren't heavily used. Each pair only made it a year. Terrible quality. And no arch support. I had to use insoles. I'm far happier with the quality of Bogs for the same price, they are SO MUCH better!

Love fit style

these boots are very stylish and work great in inclement weather. My wife loves them.

Jolly color for working in the garden. Thoroughly waterproof and with a slim sox my feet feel warm and protected.

These are classics for a reason. Tough, absolutely waterproof, easy on and off. No complaints.
