I bought a pair of these boots for rainy garden work in NE Florida. After few months noticed cracks in leather on top of toe, and around the seam just under the toe area. Boots began to leak. Cracks noted in back of boot as well. Only worn 4 to 5 times during rainy weather when going out for garden work or to feed the birds. It is my experience that Hunter boots do not hold up well in Florida weather. No cold/snow, but heat/humidity. Boots left indoors. The fit was OK but minimal arch support for my heel spurs in size 5. I found they were not a durable rain boot for my needs. Expensive and did not hold.

I ordered my normal size and length was OK but they are too wide and sloppy. The insole needs some sort of padding or lining, not very comfortable that way. I wanted to love them and was disappointed in the comfort.

The boots are comfortable and easy to get on and off. However, after less than two years both boots have cracked near the side of the ball of my feet. Now they are no longer waterproof and I need to buy new rainboots. I'm very disappointed in the poor quality.

Cute as can be, but too big in footbed, too tight around calves.

These are true to fit for an average 9, but I have a wide foot and if I put on a thick sock like I would wear in the winter, they would be tight. I have a wide foot and high arch. The arch felt comfortable, but I think they would have been snug with a winter sock. I bought the short ones because I have a thick muscle calf and the tall ones weren't wide enough. I really wish that Hunter would make wides for feet and calfs in the matte and the shiny boots. I loved the patton black, but they just wouldn't work with my wide foot and calf. I really want a pair of these to wear when I dress nice, but can't make them work.

I thought these felt snug, but as I wore them they relaxed. they were in great shape and I don't wear them very often. or to the garden and back when its wet out. This spring I noticed that the rubber was peeling and they are cracking all over! Not sure this is the quality that they are promoting. Granted they are now 5 yrs old but for the price and time / use they get I would have hoped they would have had a bit more life.

Much too heavy in weight. Made in China.

For me it was too big and too wide. I also felt like they were too heavy. My daughters love them but they were not for me.

The boot runs large and isn’t that structured along the shaft or supportive of the foot

quality is not the best considering the price. they do tear after a year or two.

I love the look of hunters on other people, and I loved the look on me. I REALLY wanted to love these boots. I bought the original short rain boots and unfortunately, they were not the boots for me. The short height allows water to come in when it’s raining hard. The boot offers relatively no support for flat feet and I didn’t feel confident in the grip on wet surfaces. Ultimately the deal breaker was the back side of the boot rubbing against my calves while walking and causing a substantial blister on each leg. Even through thicker socks. 6 weeks later and I still have the scars! Zappos customer service is truly exceptional though, and they helped process a return for me.

I didn't understand why but I could not even get this short boot on over my very high instep. Have worn Hunter boots in past and no problem with this but this style is a problem if you have high instep.

Super cute boots! Wanted to love them but they are SO BIG around my calves! I have skinny legs and own a pair of the hunter original tall boots and they fit great but these are just too wide around the leg. I even tried to tighten the buckle but it wasn't enough to make a difference. Sending them back!

Cute boots but very narrow in width. If you have wider feet I would not recommend these

I was dissappointed in these boots and had to send them back. I have a wide toe box but narrow heel and within 1 minute of wearing these boots, I had rubbed a sore on the back of my heel. I was even wearing thick wool socks. Otherwise the fit was good.

These boots looked good but the height of the boot shaft just wasn't right for me. It hit the back of my calf when I tried to walk in them and I could tell they would be very uncomfortable for that reason. I went with the Hunter Original Adjustable instead, which are a full length boot with an adjustment in the back that allows them to fit my calf and I am very happy.

These boots are not for me. I have very thin feet. I tried to go a size down but my toes would jam into the front of the boot. I returned them and got my normal size and my feet swim in them.

Nice color, but soooo heavy. Ankle doesn't flex with your foot so your heel moves in the boot. I imagine blisters galore would happen as there is no breathability. Moisture + friction = blister city.

the right shoe was the right size but the left one is smaller

I so wanted to keep these boots but the 10 was too small the 11 too big. I have a pair of the tall Hunter boots in size 10 that fit perfectly so I was surprised. My boots I have had for quite awhile so perhaps they have changed the profile or have a different manufacturer.

I ordered a size smaller after reading the reviews. The boot is not what is looks like in the picture. The boot has a wedge heel, which I think changes the look of the boot, and there's a large tab on the back of the boot, which I'm sure is there to help with putting the boot on. I was disappointed that the boot looks totally different then the picture. First time ordering from Zappos and not impressed.

Terrible fit, actually hurt when I struggled to pull the boot off. I loved the style and color. Very uncomfortable. Sizing seems not true to size. Had to return them.

I'm disappointed that I can no longer return these because I wore them once. If your feet are anything but narrow I highly suggest that you find another brand. These boots seem to be made for women with narrow feet and skinny calves. I don't understand all the fuss over this brand. They are not very comfortable as far as rain boots go. Had a pair of Chooka for years and they recently cracked. Will probably buy another pair of those to replace this pair.

These boots arrived very different sizes (L was >1cm smaller than the R in length). Hoping it's just a one time flaw, but I don't risk it on another pair.
