These are very cute in style, but they were huge around my calves and flopped against them when i walked. I ended up choosing the ankle style hunter boots and love them so far

Very cute and fit relatively well for rain boots. I'm on the fence for whether or not I'm keeping them because they are expensive.

The boot material was very flimsy and the foot bed much too wide. Very disappointed with the quality. I have a pair of Tretorn rubber boots that have much more structure. I am returning the Hunters and purchasing a pair of Tretorn.

Bought these boots due to a move to Seattle, Washington.. I work at a horse farm and wanted something to keep my feet dry. Figured the high price of these boots would be worth it for dry feet. Unfortunately, my socks were still super damp after my first day. Without the liners my feet froze and it felt like I was walking on ice all day.. These may be more of fashion accessory than practical rain boot.

Snug around calves, but to be honest I have larger than average calves (and very short legs). Also, one boot was already discolored with a white cloudy film - dramatically different in appearance than the other boot.

I have a pair of short green Hunter boots. I really like them. They are very practical. However, what is the problem with the buckle? I cannot seem to get it to lay flat, and it does not stay buckled. Are they not supposed to be functional? Other people that I have talked to have had the same problem.

I feel sort of weird after seeing all the fabulous reviews to give these boots three stars. I usually wear an 8½ or a 9 and so ordered a 9 because I have a foot problem that requires a slightly bigger toe box and shoe. 9 is usually great. Even though I ordered a 9M the boots seem to big and wide but I am afraid an 8 will be too small. In addition, they do not seem warm. They cost a lot and yet did not have a fur-lined or other supportive foot bed. I saw that you could order separately a Hunter fur liner but I got one at a local store for less. I will see how they do in the upcoming El Niño storms but the bottom line is that this is far too much to pay for average boots with no insulation. They are easy to get on which is one thing that I was looking for.

I saw these on a friend and they were so cute I had to Google them (I'd never heard of them)! I have large calves so tall boots never work for me, so when I saw these were "short" I was positive they would fit. I had a bit of sticker shock, but figured if they fit, it would be worth it. Nope. I tried them on with bare feet and leggings, thinking that is the minimum I'd ever be wearing (throwing them on to walk to the bus stop or get the mail in the snow). And while I was able to slip them on without much effort (I had been worried after reading that they were often hard to slip on past the ankle), they hit my calf right at a bad spot and there was no way I'd be able to wear them. Seriously, if they were 1-2" shorter they would be perfect. Also, they felt huge in the toe area. Now, had I been wearing socks, of course, it would have been filled up a bit, but they just felt huge and floppy. (But, had I been wearing socks--or anything thicker than leggings--I probably wouldn't have been able to get them on as easily.) That said, there's definitely room for an insert. There's no way I could wear these outside of jeans or anything, which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing boots. I didn't bother even trying to walk in them because I knew I wasn't going to be keeping them. They didn't feel awful to stand in, but they weren't comfortable, either.

The style is cute but they rub on your legs when walking plus sizing is off. My usual size fits huge, and sizing down makes them uncomfy. Too much hype, in my opinion.

I so wish these fit my calves but they don't. I could barely pull them up and were way narrower than I anticipated. I have wide calves, so finding boots can't be a trial. Despite how adorable they are, I returned the boots.

These boots came very quickly, look great and fit well...BUT- they are no way way 'yellow'! I hadn't noticed the word 'chartreuse' after the description of 'yellow chartreuse'. And come on- the picture on the internet definitely looks yellow! Anyway, they are positively GREEN and back they go.

Mine leaked after a year in which I used them maybe 10 times. I couldn't get Hunter customer support to exchange them. I don't feel that a boot should stop working after 10 wears! Not happy and my replacement pair will not be Hunters.

This is NOT yellow - it is chartreuse and NOT a pretty one! Hunter Yellow wellies (previous seasons) are gorgeous . . . Please bring them back.

I have Hunters from 7 years ago and my daughter is always wearing them so I bought her a pair from Zappos. It turns out that in the past 7 years, they've started making them in China and the design is slightly different - there's no longer a nice lining, etc etc. She won't wear these so I'm returning them but wanted others to know that they're not quite the same as those old wonderful Hunters (I guess nothing ever is).

I would have loved to love those, it's been longtime since I wanted my own pair of Hunters. Unfortunately, it's not working for me. I'm short (5'2) and athletic and these boots do me no favours. They're really chunky. I can imagine how they would look better on longer and leaner legs, but I really don't like them on me. I'll stick with more feminine shapes in the future. Returning.

These are great looking boots but even the shorts went almost to my knees (I am 5'3") but the reason for returning it is that my calves are just too well-developed from trekking up and down hills during my college days and I still walk quite a bit.

I got these for fishing as my current boots are too narrow d/t bunion). I wore these arounsd the house for about 5 minutes - they felt good! Wide enough and no chafing on the calf (I have larger calves). Went to take them off and what a struggle! Getting them over the ankle area was tough. I actually needed my BF to help AND I needed another shower after. For that reason I had to give it 3 stars. Color is a very dark aubergine - almost black

I got these to trudge through my muddy backyard and get to work. They work perfect for the task. They are very sloshy though - which can be good and bad. Easy to slip on and off, but I couldn't imagine myself walking far in these (like when I walked a mile+ to work in San Francisco). If I was walking more, I might want a half/full size down - but then you may not have the nice slip on & over the pants qualities. I don't get how people are wearing these for fashion, they are cute - but really it is the function. I am 5'4" and would never get the higher boot, these are really good for my height. I was also disappointed these were made in China. I missed that and totally thought Hunter made everything in Europe. Boo. For what I need these are fine, and I loved the color. I was however looking at Aigle boots as they are made in France, but they didn't have anything on Zappos as cute as these.

These run big, so you might want to order a size down. I need the fleece liners to make these fit right.

I find these boots to be very heavy and loose fitting, even when I ordered a full size down. I returned them, as I surprisingly actually prefer my cheap polka dot rain boots.
