Love the color and the boots! I had to order a bigger size since I am in between sizes. I choose to go for the short version because I have large calves. They go perfect with skinny jeans and leggings.

Beautiful classic rain boot. Unfortunately for my size foot manufacturers seem to think if my foot is above average size, my legs and calves must be very large as well. I am 5'9" and of an average lightly muscular build, but just happen to have large feet thanks to my well-built German ancestry. I ordered a full size bellow my norm of 12, and felt like I was wearing some serious goulashes. These had to go back.

They're rainboots. There's nothing earth shattering going on here...they keep my feet dry. I'm usually a 7.5 (an 8 in most sneakers & boots), I ordered a 7 and have room to fit a moderately thick sock. It is a little tight to get your foot in, but I think it helps when walking (so your feet don't flop around as much as in regular rain boots). Not super comfortable, but not the worst rain boot I've walked in. I consider my ankle/calf size to be normal-- definitely not thin-- and these fit well and I can tuck my jeans in. They do what they're supposed to do.

I loved the look- classic Hunter boots! Perfectly made and solid heavy construction. I have larger calves and found the boot shaft to rest uncomfortably. When walking, because of the rigid construction, I found it irritating. Otherwise true to size. Gorgeous look.

Cute boots and felt true to size. Because I have very thin legs, they look better when worn with socks.

I wanted these muck boots to work for me so much. I thought being the "short" style that my larger calves would not be an issue. I was wrong. While the foot part was a great fit, they were just too tight on my calves and I knew it wouldn't get any better. Not Hunter's issue, but mine. So unfortunately I'll need to return them.

I love these boots. I wear a womens size 8 and ordered a 6. They fit well with any sock, however I would have ordered a size up and gotten the insert (boot sock).

I bought these boots mostly for my recent trip to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I was very please with how comfortable I was wearing them at the parades. I will say after being in them for 5-8 hours my feet did feel a bit heavy in them and my calves felt restricted by the boot opening. On a normal wear I'm sure they would be just what I was looking for. I am in love with the green color and they seem very durable. They do scratch easily but again that may be the matte finish on the boot makes it more noticeable. I just like to think of them as marks of a good time.

The first pair had a defect in the left boot. The sole padding was like one side smaller than what it should have been. So it was weird at first. Then I exchanged them and they are good now. I am flat footed so I was worried they would not fit in the width but they do. I give the comfort a three just because the back of the boot kind of feels weird when bending my foot to walk, I am not sure if it is just air getting trapped or not.

Love these boots! Super cute, although I feel like they run a bit small. Once in them, you're fine but getting your foot through the ankle area can bit a bit tough.

Ok at first was on fence. I'm 5 2' so wanted a shorter rain book. I also have thick calves. I'm normally an 8.5 right off rack but ordered an 8 and was perfect fit. I wish they were just a slight bit taller as I felt a slight pressure when walking on back of calves.Once I tried on with the fleece fold over boot sock liner i was sold. Felt comfy and looks super cute with leggings or tights. This is my first pair of actual rain boots and probably my last. Very sturdy and well made boot. Bring on the rain!

I have wide calves and this boot was actually okay for me. It's hard for me to find a pair to fit my big calves but these I had high hope for. But I wish they were just 1 inch wider and they would've been perfect.

Still undecided on these boots...they are really cute and stylish, and I love that they are more flexible than average rainboots so you don't quite feel so clunky. After walking around in them for awhile, though, they flap back and forth on your calves...it doesn't hurt or make marks, but it feels funny. I'm 5'4 and wanted to try the short boots instead of original tall since I thought the tall would hit my knee and not be comfortable, so maybe the problem is just me personally with the short. Haven't decided if that is worth returning the boots over.

This is my second pair. Alas, my prior pair lasted only 1-1/2 winters, and it was supposed to last longer. But the lining had worn off the back of my right boot by the heel, and the bare spot surrounded by rough edges of lining gave me a blister. I had bought the glossy blue ones previously, so this time I went for the plainest original green, in the hopes that it would last longer. Unfortunately, my daily hikes with my dogs have me wading through creeks which are a few inches deep, and Wellies are the only things capable of doing that. I do hope my new pair lasts me through at least two seasons.

I was very impressed with the whole Zappos experience. I received my orders in a timely manner, they were well packaged, and I was able to return them with great ease. I tried two different sizes of the tall Hunter boots. The first was too big, the second were too tight on my big calves and the third pair (short/mid-calf size) are perfect for my needs.

I like these boots for slipping on when it is wet outside, they are not too heavy and they are trendy and cute! The yellow color is actually a bit duller than what you see on screen. They feel roomy like they are made for thicker socks.

I was excited to open the box and try on these boots, as I have been wanting to get boots for gardening and these seemed perfect. However, even with heavy socks, the heels were slipping and I know walking in them and wearing them would cause blisters when I walked. Had to return them. So disappointed!

Makes a rainy day a chic day. Comfortable -- easy to get on and off -- and the heel is low and comfortable. Bit pricey for rubber but I do like them a lot.

This boot is very well made and looks nice on. I like that you can tuck your jeans within the boot for extra protection from the rain. I would recommend this boot. This boot is rugged and it is heavy in weight.

I'm a size 7.5 and took the advice to order a half size down in the Hunter Original Short. I had on a thin pair of socks and had a hard time getting them on through the ankle. Once they were on, my toes were a bit too close to the end of the boot to be totally comfortable. Trying to get them off was even more difficult. They are a very well made boot and I may try a size up, however, Zappos does not have the size and color at this time. As always, very happy with Zappos speedy delivery and return service - the best!

I wear a 37 in Dansko and they are a little big, so ordered a six in the Hunter. They are a bit too long and wide, but if I had ordered a five I wouldn't have been able to get my foot past the ankle. They are not easy to get on and off, have to sit down to wrench them off. They do have a stable footbed but I put my orthotics in because there isn't enough arch for me and it still isn't quite enough. I can't wear them more than a few hours because my damaged feet won't take it. Really good for people that have no foot or walking issues. They are a quality boot, very well made.

The boot itself is great, I have other Hunter boots and they are all made well. I think they all tend to run a little large, but it works if you plan on using the wellies socks in the winter. However, the Aubergine color I got was not attractive at all. All Hunter boots have the natural "dusting" from the rubber, but with the purple it refused to come off and made the boot look extremely dirty. The dust comes back within minutes and it looks like you just sloshed through a puddle of mud. I have not had this issue with my other Hunter boots of different colors.

I had wanted a pair of Hunter original boots for years, and finally late last winter I bought them, in green. They were so cute when I was not wearing them. Unfortunately they were too tall for my legs, hitting me right at the knee. I am 5 4. It was a struggle to tuck in my jeans (I had to use strapping tape around the ankles), and they looked ridiculous (thin rubbery-green lower legs and big puffy denim thighs), so I would have needed to invest in different pants or tights to wear with them. The boots were pricey enough by themselves. As I was tromping around my house, deciding whether to keep the boots, I walked upstairs so I could look at the boots in the hall mirror. Each step up was painful, the boots ramming the tendons behind my knees. Ouch, ouch, ouch! That was the final straw. I sadly returned them. I then ordered a pair of short Hunter boots in black. I normally wear a size 8.5 and ordered size 8 (UK size 39) based on reviews that they ran large. The boots fit fine. They are 10 inches tall, instead of 16 inches like the tall boots, and hit about mid-shin. They don't have the same British charm. In fact, they kind of remind me of fireman boots. But they are funky and waterproof and they are perfect for wet snow and rain puddles. My short boots have already seen a lot of use. I love them. I do hope that someday Hunter will make boots that are 14 inches tall; they would look similar to the original boots but could be worn by women of average height.
