I had purchased my first pair of Keens a few years ago and I loved them. By the time I realized time had passed and the soles were worn out, they no longer made that style. What I appreciate in this Keen product is the wide toe box and the last of the shoe works well for me. I'm not loving the exterior design as much as I did my first pair, but I'm hopeful, they will at some point use the classic design again. The shoe laces aren't great. They don't seem as if they will wear well and they are too long.

You can find these on Zappos by searching for running shoes so I thought they might be good enough for use at the gym. However, upon arrival and try-on, it was clear that they aren't meant for athletic use. The shoe is inflexible and there is inadequate support. Plus the front of the shoe looks very wide in a non-stylish way.

I ordered these shoes for a trip to Vegas. For me, they felt quite stiff and uncomfortable and hurt my feet. Also, the toe box would press down on the joint between my toe and foot. Vegas probably wasn’t the best place to break in these shoes, but I never had break in problems with Brooks or Merrells. I’ll wear these occasionally, but they’re definitely not my favorite shoes. Too bad, because they looked pretty good with my jeans and slacks. I am hoping that down the road they’ll feel more comfortable.

Ordered my size but it was too big, returned for a half size smaller and I suggest others do the same. Needs some breaking in, I generally prefer a shoe that feels great from the get-go, but after wearing around the office a couple of hours they seem to be settling in.

These are most definitely not as comfortable as my Keen H2 Newport sandals. In fact they are incredibly uncomfortable. They cut into my ankles and the leather is very stiff. I can only hope that they will break in with time. After my great experience with my Keen sandals (they are the only shoes besides my hiking boots and my running sneakers that I wear from April - November), I was really looking forward to getting my Keen Presidios. I have to say, sadly, that I am not impressed.

Looks good but is very stiff. I have worn Keens for years; sandals and mary janes. I finally decided to get a Keen shoe but was very disappointed when I tried on this one. It was very stiff and not at all supportive. The back rubbed on my heel and the shoe felt really hard and uncomfortable. I returned it and got a Keen hiker, much better! Thanks Zappos for great return service.

I have owned several pairs of Keen shoes. I loved this when I got them- comfortable, stylish, and durable. My only complaint is that I got them for work where I am on my feet 12 hours a day. These shoes were great for the first two months, but are now feeling worn out. I wish they had lasted longer.

Great at first... These shoes have a sporty, outdoorsy, trendy look and were very comfortable at first. I bought them for walking on an upcoming trip to Europe and all was well until I decided to give them a serious workout. After only 20 minutes of rapid walking on my neighborhood sidewalks, the back of my heels were raw and bleeding. As others have said, the backs of the shoes are too high and stiff. I still have hope that they will perform better with the addition of some moleskin cushioning, but won't be able to find out until my feet heal and I return from my trip. Right now, I am very disappointed and don't dare wear them.

Good for the first 6 months - I loved the Presidio at first. It had far better arch support than most shoes, a wide toe box, and no break in time and good cushioning. I have a high instep and very high arches with the added plus of under-pronating so before the Presidio I was having a hard time finding anything that felt good and didn't look horrible. However, it's been around 7 months since I bought these and the cushioning in the removable insert is completely gone in the ball of foot area (and some spots where my toes are) and heel. I'm not that heavy (125lb) and don't do an extreme amount of walking. The bottom tread looks nearly new in both. It's been a pain (literally) experimenting with inserts that I can use and actually work and so far, I've not had much luck. I wanted to buy another pair, but can't justify only 6 months of comfortable wear out of shoes I'm not wearing all day, everyday.

This shoe is serving its purpose. I bought this shoe as a walking shoe for an upcoming trip to Disneyworld. I think it will be comfortable and keep my feet from being beat up. They are a bit on the casual side for me; I don't wear sneakers ever. But I am probably being overly sensitive and they are cute and fine.

Crunchy granola look and feel. The Presidio looks comfortable but falls short of feeling comfortable because of the stiff nature of the Nubuck around the ankle. I have worn these shoes several times and they have yet to soften up.

Heel issues - I like the shoe, for support and traction, but right heel gives me blister like pain after a few hrs.

Comfortable foot bed, uncomfortable top - The foot bed was great. I've had foot pain, and I didn't have any while I walked around the house. However, the top of the shoe hit my ankles and rubbed, which was not comfortable. I had to return them.

A bit snug - The shoe is okay, runs a little small and isn't all that comfortable at the foot bed. The material by the back of the heel wears the skin raw unless you have thick socks. Not my favorite pair of Keens, but they will do.

Keens not that great! I have several pairs of Keens...I find the sole is too soft and flexible on all of them, and I will not be buying Keens again. For walking, my orthotic expert tells me, the best bet is a firm sole! I do like the styling, which is why I have several.

I'd love to love these but I'm disappointed - I've had many Keen shoes now, each fitting my foot perfectly. These look great, a bit funky. This is the first pair that I'm not as satisfied with as the top part hits my ankle bone. I've only worn them once. I seem to reach for my other Keens before this pair. But I am going to try to wear them once again and maybe they will feel better.

Ouch!! I purchased this shoe after having worn the Keen Sarasota all summer long with no problems. I have plantar fasciitis, a flat foot and a very sensitive area on the side of my foot where a bunion once was. I love the look of these shoes; they are so cute to wear with jeans. They were comfy when I first put them on, but the longer that I had them on they started to irritate the side of my foot where the bunion used to be. I tried a second pair thinking that the first one might have been made wrong, (and based on how well the Sarasotas fit) but I was wrong! I spoke to the customer service rep at Keen and she told me that certain shoes, the Presidios included, are slightly narrower than others. Sure enough when I measured the bottoms of the Presidios against the Sarasotas they were approx a 1/4" narrower. This measurement is not listed anywhere that I'm aware of and there is no way to tell by looking at a picture so I'd be nervous to try a new shoe prior to discussing it with the people at Keen. I'm going to try the Portolas and the Briggs as she said they were slightly wider. Wish me luck!

Ouch! I bought these shoes last year for a trip where we'd be walking a lot. They were stiff at first, but I had no idea how they would tear up my heel. I had deep cuts on my heels and was too far from our base to switch shoes. I actually had to buy new shoes and haven't worn the Keens since. I may have rated the look higher if my feet were larger, but in a 6.5, the shoes are very stubby and blockish. Now they reside in my closet. My husband has worn Keens for several years and loves them so making the investment for myself was exciting. So sad!

Great looking shoe, but I have wide feet and a narrow heel. After walking 6 blocks the backs of my heels began to hurt really badly and they were bleeding! Also the sides rubbed against my ankle bone.

As someone who owns seven pairs of Keen shoes in various styles, all of which I absolutely love, both for outstanding comfort (I have wide feet) and good looks, I never would have dreamed Keen could send something off the press that so shockingly fails to live up to the standard I've come to expect. Every pair I've ever bought has been oh-so comfortable and wearable right out of the box. Not so this time. Although the toes are sufficiently wide side to side, I cannot flex my toes upward at all, and when I walk, they crease painfully down across my toes. In addition, these shoes are very tight across the instep, no matter how far I tried to loosen the laces. The top of the heel digs in right where I know that a full day's wearing will result in a couple of major blisters. I have to agree with everyone else who has found these shoes to run a half size too small...and added to that, not only is the overall make surprisingly stiff, but the leather on the left side of the foot on the right shoe is very strangely wrinkled and soft. Far better in quality and comfort are my old Briggs, Calistogas, and Kacis. Never thought I'd have a reason to send back a pair of Keen shoes, but back these go. I hope this is not a sign of things to come?

These look a lot different on the screen than in person. They were weirdly puffy in reality, which may explain why they were too small. I returned them for size, but I think I'll try a different model rather than a larger size of this one.

I am super bummed. I bought these shoes for work. I have had problem feet for a while now (short wide flat duck feet, PF, now cuboid syndrome) so I almost always order Keens and they never let me down. These shoes looked really cute on, made my feet look smaller than usual and I was super stoked. They were kind of tight when I first wore them, but I figured I would break them in. No such luck. A month later of waitressing five morning shifts a week, still not broken in. I started having severe pain in my left foot since I started wearing these shoes. I thought maybe it was just my problematic feet being well, my feet, but after having a few days off and not wearing these shoes for 7 hours a day, my foot felt much better. I really liked them, and my right foot is fine, but I can't wear them anymore because of this foot problem, now labeled cuboid syndrome. Super bummed. I miss the old Keens.

My left shoe did match the right show in looks, feel etc and then to top it off the bottom of my right shoe is coming completely off. I have not had to return any purchase before, but unfortunately I need to this time.

Very comfortable but definitely not non-slip. Seriously risked my life wearing these to work. Unfortunately they have to go back.

I have many other pairs of Keens that are ultra comfy. I have worn these Presidio shoes about five times. Each time I wear them, I am surprised and saddened about how uncomfortable they are. I'm sorry that I did not keep the original box to return them. They are stiff and rub the back of my foot to cause blisters. They have never softened up. I hesitate to buy another pair of Keens. These are just awfully uncomfortable.
