A few minor issues -
The Presidio would have rated a 5 for "Comfort" if it weren't for the thickly padded sides that seemed very high and rubbed just below my ankle. I tried extra padding in an attempt to raise my foot; unfortunately it didn't help enough to tough it out. With thick socks it may not have been as irritating. However, I feel the shoes would have been very warm and I didn't want cold weather shoes. In addition, I didn't realize that the stitching was blue, because of that I rated it a 4 for "Look".
I called Zappos to order a pair of the Keen Napa and was thrilled to receive them in less than 24 hours! The Napas resolved both issues that I had with the Pesidio. The lady whom I spoke to at Zappos was a gem. I wish all companies had representatives as professional, courteous and as efficient as she was to me. Thanks Zappos!

Very comfortable with one minor glitch -
I'm retired and do lots of walking, hiking, etc. I bought these shoes for a month long trip to Europe where I'll be walking 6-10 miles on some days. These shoes are perfect except the sides come up a little too high, slightly hitting my ankles. I love the way the shoe looks and feels otherwise. The design of the shoe accommodates my bunions and orthotics. I've received lots of compliments on the look of the shoe. I wear them around town for running errands and hikes under 3-4 miles. I'll take my Merrell Jungle Primos to Europe and leave these shoes home.

Great support -
These shoes fit great and offer wonderful support. I have foot and knee problems and I was able to wear these for a full day of walking right out of the box. The only problem with them is that the stitching is blue (it looked white in the pictures), so they don't go with as many colors as plain black would have. Overall a great shoe. I love Keen shoes, but these are some of the best Keens I've had.

Keen Presidio -
I thought these were cute and comfy. A little stiff initially, and I got a blister on one heel, but my heels are pretty blister-prone. I got the green and it's a softer green than it appears on the site. Each leather panel is a slightly different shade and texture, which I think is my favorite feature.

Almost there -
I heard that Keen was a great shoe. I bought three pairs (Presidio, Briggs, & Zoe) planning only to keep one to see which would win out. When this shoe came, I was really excited because I got the Camo color and it is a beautiful color. The heel is a very soft silky feeling and was very comfortable. It was very difficult for me to decide not to keep this shoe because I really wanted to. The reason I decided not to keep the shoe is because it is big and boxy looking, which didn't bother me too much, but it would only look right with certain outfits and was not versatile enough for me. I think this is a great shoe and very comfortable. The color I chose was beautiful. I just wanted a little slimmer shoe. (FYI - I wanted these shoes for a big vacation. All three Keens in the end lost. I am still looking. A pair of Naots are what I am hoping will come through for me.)

Keens great but pinch heel a bit -
I like these shoes overall. Very good support for the arch and comfortable for walking.
They do run small (I ordered a size larger than usual). The heel pinches a bit -- it comes to more of a V shape than the U shape of my heel. It is stretching out but requires a break in.

Comfortable -
I bought these shoes because of their comfort reputation. I had a pair previously which I bought in my normal size and they were a little too small. Get a 1/2 size bigger than you normally would. I like these shoes because I can walk all day in them and my feel still feel great. The only thing I would change is the rubber sole that goes up over the toe of the shoe. I realize it is designed to prevent water/dirt from getting on the shoe, but it looks a little ugly. I don't have wide feet, but these are very roomy in the front. It's a classic shoe to have. Everyone I know that owns a pair of Keens loves them.

Keens -
Def order a size up. I ordered a half size and I still think they're a little short. They are wide shoes, but fit great. Very comfortable but not particularly warm for New England Winters, which was a little disappointing.

Cool looking, comfy shoe -
This is a great shoe! I am a loyal Dansko wearer and these are my first pair of Keens. They are really comfortable right out of the box and they look great. Easy to wear on the ice (not like my Dansko clogs) and I can see wearing them into the spring and again next Fall. Highly recommend!

Yin/yang shoe -
Runs a bit small, I am a solid size 9 and had to get a 9-1/2. The front of the shoe and the arch support are wonderful. The back comes up higher than most of my shoes and is very hard, thus I developed nasty blisters on my Achilles after one wearing. The forefoot and arch comfort are so good, though, that I am going to try and tough it out and callus up the Achilles area and hope for the best.

I purchased it in red and love the look of the shoe. The arch support is very good. My only complaint is that it seems short compared to the size. I would suggest buying a half size larger.

Keen Presidio -
I love the look of this shoe, and the color Tomato which is bright and happy. Unfortunately, the sizing is "off" from my other Keens. I have several other styles of Keen, which are all a size 10. After reading the reviews on this style, I purchased a 10. They fit a bit tighter than I prefer. The 10 arrived and fit much too tight. I returned them, and had to change my color choice as my original color was not available in 10.5. New shoes arrived, and they are still a bit tight. An 11 would have been a better fit. I have NEVER worn an 11 in any shoe, any style. There were no colors available that would make me happy in an 11 so I kept my 10.5 tomato. I love the color, and will just wear them for shorter periods and with thinner socks and without my orthotics. (I could not bear sending those fun tomato shoes back for good.)

Keens are keen -
The Presidio shoe is really nice. Well made. Great style. The Fern is a cool color. The only downer is the sizing. These shoes run small; more like short in the toe area. I usually wear a size 5.5 but ended up with a 6.5! I've never owned a pair of 6.5s in my life. The 6 was OK but my toes bumped the front interior of the shoe. The 6.5s look a little big but they are comfortable. Thank goodness for Zappos great service, which allowed me to switch through the sizes.

It took four sizes to find the one that fit...my actual size! Based on other reviews, and on my past experience with Keen boots & sandals, I ordered larger sizes than my normal 8. Both were huge! Tried an 8.5...also huge! Landed on the 8 and it fits well. The only issues with the Presidio are that, being made in China and I expect on a machine, the left shoe is 1/4 - 1/2" higher all around the top of the shoe...on my ankle and top of my foot...than the right shoe. The tongue digs into the soft part of my foot where it meets my ankle and it's bothersome. I've nearly alleviated this by keeping the shoe more loosely tied but this causes my heel to slip; and sometimes the tongue slips and continues to dig into the top of my foot. I wanted to love these shoes (needed for daily dog walking biz), but I only like them. Probably wouldn't order again for this price tag.

Hmmm...might be quirky and cute on a small foot, but by the time it's large enough for a 9.5, it looks ridiculously bulbous. And yes, I set myself up for the "Keen" style, but the sandals are more visually forgiving. I actually burst out laughing when I tried these on!

I like Keens because of the structure of the shoes and also their wide toe box, but these Presidios and the Toyahs are so wide in the heel that they ride up and down! Very frustrating! This is not common in my past experiences, so did they change the last? Otherwise, it's a great shoe. But I'll try some Merrell's.

I've been wearing Keen shoes for years, but I should have listened to the previous reviewers. When I first wore these shoes, I thought I could handle the slightly narrower width and less toe room. I gradually started having tingling in my legs & feet. After much ado, I realized it was the shoes.

I have many friends who love Keen shoes, and I was pleased to find them in my size, 11, so that I could try them out as well. They do seem very well made, and they had a very cushioned, comfortable sole support. However, they were much too wide and there is only one width available for these shoes, which is medium, which usually is just fine for me. I do not know if the width gets exponentially greater with the shoe size, but it was out of proportion to the shoe. My husband, who has the same foot length as me, but with a wider foot, had to decline these as well, as they were too wide even for him! We tried re-lacing them, and wearing thick wool winter socks. But they were still a no go! This is a pity all around as I wanted the shoes for walking and gardening and they would have been perfect otherwise. I am so sorry to have to send these back.

These shoes are attractive and very well-made in terms of durability. However, the sides are bit high and press against my ankles. I have never had this problem with any other pair of shoes, so it's probably a design issue.

I purchased these Keens to wear for a trip I was taking to Ireland and London for three weeks. I wanted to wear something very versatile: handle wet/dry weather and urban to open wild turf. I gave myself a 1.5 weeks to break them in and immediately loved them as I wore them everywhere. At first it was a bit odd as the front toe area seems to roll forward, and I felt like I was falling, but after a couple of hours I was fine. The molding on the inside of the shoe really sucked my feet in to stabilize which was a bit new for me, but I see the point. These shoes did great in my first couple of weeks, so when I arrived in our first stop of Dublin (Ireland), I was confident of my feet comfort. Unfortunately after a couple of days in Dublin, my upper heel was super sore to the point I though blisters had formed but there wasn't any and it was just super red and sore. I purchased some blister bandages but the cushioned heel area of the shoe would push it right off after an hour. The shoe fit at my normal size of 6.5, so I wondered if should have given more time to break them in. The shoes were great visiting various sights all around Ireland (Republic and Northern) in general, but I was disappointed when after a 4-5 days when it really rained, my Presidios started to get "wet" inside! My socks weren't damp due to sweat, but there were little wet patches inside of my shoes. I checked to see if there were cracks in the soles, but I couldn't see any. I wore my other pair of Keens (Toyah--my back-up pair which I switched on/off) which didn't do it as bad and was a bit more comfortable for half of my trip. The strangely the top portion of my Presidios which got equally wet was perfectly dry. All in all, they were general alright for my trip so I just kept on wearing them as part of my daily wear shoe rotation. The color (I have a olive green/brown with sea green threads) matched with a large majority of my clothes, and was a nice alternative to sneakers. However then I ran into another problem. My shoes squeaked with ever step. I tried thicker socks (as by this time the heel flattened out and felt more comfortable) which stopped it temporarily, but then after a few days it just kept squeaking no matter what I did. I really wanted to love the shoes, and the front rubber bumper was excellent to prevent a few cases of toe stubbing, but these wet patches and squeaking is making it very hard. The fit was grand, and so was the color, but it's not living up to what I expected from the Keens brand.

It is true that these shoes run small. I had to order half a size up from 8 1/2, which I usually wear to 9. Still, I am not going to keep these shoes. While everybody seems to love them, I had problems. The back of the shoe just comes right up to that tender spot between the heel and the Achilles tendon and digs right in. Ouch. Even after multiple outings that part still hurts. Also the shoes are quite stiff and heavy. I was looking for a nice outdoor shoe for moderate or easy hikes - but "Keen Presidio" is not for me. Perhaps they work for other feet.

This is a nice looking sporty waterproof shoe. I wound up returning it for two reasons. One, it runs short, although the width and toebox room are good. Two, the interior has a lot of seams and feels rough so if you have sensitive feet you will need to wear thicker socks.

Very, very comfortable, but looked a little too chunky for my purpose. Reluctantly returned them. If you don't mind your feet looking short and wide, this is a perfect shoe.

I love the look of these shoes! I got them in Madder Brown, which is a really deep red-chestnut color, which was gorgeous. However, they were really stiff on my feet. They felt like hiking boots without the ankle support.
