Ordered new boat shoes and something is way off on the sizing now, ordered the exact same size and width as I have for 20 plus years and the new shoes were at least a 3/8 inch narrower in the width which makes them uncomfortably tight even without socks. returning these

I wore my new boat shoes to work for 7 days and the sole is already wearing out. The catch is that I work behind a computer screen with minimal walking. Imagine if I actually wore them out!. I don't see them lasting longer than 2 months, hopefully I can find a place to replace the sole of the shoe. Also, the bottom part of the show commented to the sole is already drying out.

Replaced a pair I had for years. Not the same at all. Fit very tight in the lace area and loose at the heel. Returned them for a pair of Rockport Ports of Call-Perth. They are perfect.
I'd also recommend:

This is the best looking boat shoe made. I wore NOTHING but this shoe (a version with a thicker sole) all through the 80's. I though it was back with a more conventional sole, but it's not the same! I wore it in the house to test it's comfort and after an hour, I HAD to take them off. The area under the tie hurt. I loosened it, but no relief. I wear nothing but boat shoes, and thought with the other major Boat Shoe manufacturers quality slip,I'd been saved. I returned these shoes today. Close, but no cigar.

The quality is awesome, the toe box was to narrow. I wish they still sold the earthkeeper top sliders!!

As I have had a few pairs of these shoes through the years and had been quite satisfied , I am disappointed with my last purchase. Unfortunately the last purchase was made online which is the always a gamble when buying shoes and sorts. The pair I received did not fit like my old pair which I still have. The problem with these shoes I received is that the heel is not as high up on my heel as my previous pair and slip off my heel. I am not sure if these redesigned the fit of the shoe, but if I could have found them in the store and tried them on I probably would not have bought the shoes.Buying certain products like clothes and shoes is risky because you cannot try them on for size. Also, if Timberland changed the dimensions of the shoe follow this rule of thumb. Don't change what works for you all these years.

This is my second pair, first in 5 years, so they lasted a while. On my old pair, the heel insole peeled up after a while. On my new pair, it peeled up immediately, on the second wear. They look great, but for close to 100 bucks. The quality isnt there. Gonna buy Topsiders next time.

Extremely narrow, advertised as W but are medium width at best. Wide means 4E, not 2E, totally false advertising, especially when you have to buy online.

I first starting wearing Timberland 2-eye boat shoes in the 1980s. They were an excellent shoe then. I recently purchased the 21st century version of the same shoe. Reluctantly, I cannot recommend this shoe because the shoe's interior space doesn't compare favorably with its exterior. My complaint is that the shoe's interior lining for the soles of the feet is not a full lining. It looks and feels cheap. This lining is glued in and started peeling the after I wore the shoes twice. It's a mystery to me why Timberland would do a good job on this shoe's exterior but resort to chicanery on the inside of the shoe. Timberland: you can, and should, do better than this.

This is a nice and comfortable shoe but poor quality. After 2 times of wearing the shoes, the material stretched and looked worn as if I had them for a long time

I've owned three pairs of Timberland Boat Shoes. The first pair lasted over a decade, the second pair for about five years, and the recent pair for less than a year. I'm so disappointed that I won't even consider buying Timberlands anymore. I understand that cost-cutting is necessary to compete, but I genuinely wish Timberlands had a premium product line that lives up to its longstanding traditions.

I have come to love the timberland boat shoes for over 25 years. But the last couple of years they have changed the stitching the soles and inner linings making the shoes more uncomfortable and break down a lot faster then when they had made them years ago

This product is cheap and not the quality of the Kahwa Bay that I bought for many years. Poor fit and quality. By the way I returned what I purchased two weeks ago, I have not received my refund!

I purchased my first pair of Timberland boat shoes about 35 years ago. I only wear them occasionally but the shoes still look great and are well made. About three years back, I bought my second pair of boat shoes in a different color. I wear these shoes occasionally as well. Recently I wore them and the outsole came loose and fell off the shoe. Upon inspection the outsole is only attached to the midsole with a dab of glue and double sided tape. With the uppers still in great shape off I went to a shoe repair store. Upon inspection by the cobbler, the outsole on the second shoe suffered from the same defect as the first shoe. The outsole of the second shoe came off in his hand. I was very disappointed with the quality of the shoes. I was surprised to learn that the outsole was not stitched to the midsole. I barely wore the shoes and the cost to repair the shoes was going to be $51.00. I decided to not have them repaired. I always felt that Timberland made a quality product but now I feel differently and will be looking elsewhere for a replacement and on future purchases.

Have worn Timberland shoes & boots for decades. Have always been pleased. Somehow, I think I got a dud pair. The left shoe seemed unusually 'tight' (my feet are same size). Actually measured and somehow the top of the left shoe had approximately 2mm less material width than the right shoe?!?! How does that happen? Wound up returning.

Didn't know heel depth was a thing. My original Timberland deck shoes measured 2 7/8" in the heel, these new ones measure 2 1/4". Big difference.

the shoes were way too narrow. I have a pair of your shoes (11 M, model 5230R 9598) the sole width is 3/8 of an inch wider than the 11 W shoes that were gifted to me. How could an 11M shoe be wider than an 11W shoe? I was very disapointed and will be sending them back. Sorry

This purchase isn't what I was looking for. I wanted to purchase your 3 eye, lug soled shoe that you have so grossly PIMPED into a heeled and platform monstrosity. I look forward to purchasing two pair of the 3 eye in 10W when sanity returns. Good day.
