This is simply a great looking shoe. Looks WAY better than the Sperry Topsider. I am super pleased with this purchase.

I have purchased lots of pairs of boat shoes over the years and these are probably the best I have ever worn. They are very comfortable, wear great, and look very classy. Definitely worth the extra bucks you will pay compared to some of the others. I put in drug store support soles, and I am good to go. A good purchase.

The shoes are good and made very well. In the pic of the shoes the color looks brown but actually they are more like an elephant gray or shark gray. Leather is soft and broken in. True to size. I thought about Sanuks but wanted something different and with a sole that lasts. Comfortable from day one. Easy on/off. I don't wear shoes indoors so I buy shoes that I can jump in and out of quickly and with ease. Drawback: A bit too east coast prepster or staid look maybe.
I'd also recommend:

Great shoes, fit well and were constructed very well. First pair of owned boat shoes, and realize these aren\'t made for comfort. If you walk around a lot with these, I recommend getting insoles. Very stylish, excellent take on the boat shoe.

I bought these shoes so I be a little different and still have qualtity and comfort. However, when I got these shoes a stitch in the back was already gone loose. I wore them without noticing and I was unable to return them. They also have absolutely no support and become very uncomfortable for even walking half a mile around on a village street. On the positive side, they are very good looking and I get complements wherever I go. I recommend Rockports if you would get boatshoes because they're so much comfortable and usually better looking.

Just the best. Don't know how many pairs I have owned over the years and worn out. They put a smile on my face, perfect for walking and driving. Will buy again when these are worn out.

It's so good. This boat shoe is really comfortable but the color just rubs off onto my socks. Don't wear light colored socks. Other than that, it is very beautiful and super classic. Recommended!

I received these Timberland Men's Classic 2-Eye Boat Shoes for free in exchange for my honest review. My husband is very happy with these shoes! He wears a size 9, and they fit him perfectly.
Compared to other brands we have tried, these shoes feel much more durable. The leather is high quality and thick, whereas other shoes often feel thin or wear out quickly. The stitching is also very strong and looks professional.
The main benefit of owning these shoes is how versatile they are. My husband can wear them with shorts for a casual look or with nice pants for a dinner party. They are very comfortable for walking all day.
I would definitely buy this product in the future because the quality is worth the price. I highly recommend these shoes to my friends and family who want a classic style that lasts a long time.
Thanks to BzzAgent and Timberlands for the complimentary product!

I have been a huge fan of Timberline boat shoes ever since I was in high school. I had a small boat and wore these shoes when sailing - full of water and all. The have been with me for over 50 years

While a boat shoe might visually lean more toward coastal prep than the technical Arc'teryx shells you normally run with, the Timberland Classic 2-Eye Boat Shoe in brown is fundamentally a piece of highly functional, heritage gear. From an anatomical perspective, this isn't just a flat leather slip-on. The interior is engineered with a 3/4-length leather-lined EVA footbed layered over Poron foam. If you are coming off a brutal 12-hour rotation at the hospital and your plantar fascia is shot, that specific foam density provides critical, immediate impact absorption without looking like a bulky orthopedic shoe.
The construction of the upper relies on traditional handsewn moccasin techniques using premium full-grain leather. This means it molds to your specific foot geometry relatively quickly with minimal blister-inducing break-in time. The mechanical standout, however, is the non-marking, siped rubber outsole. "Siping" is a technique where microscopic slits are cut into the rubberthe exact same physics used in winter car tires and high-end slip-resistant hospital clogs. It actively displaces water to create a high-friction grip, meaning you won't be hydroplaning across wet pavement when you're commuting in the rain.
The 360-degree rawhide lacing system is the final functional detail, allowing you to actually cinch the heel cup tight so your foot doesn't slip around. It bridges the gap between a sterile clinical aesthetic and casual, off-duty wear effortlessly. It's a durable, highly repairable piece of footwear that proves you don't need synthetic mesh to achieve all-day anatomical support.

First things first, these are sharp! The darker leather contrasts well with the stitching and I just love the look.
They slip on easily and hug my feet well without any slipping around. And they feel great even after walking around in them for the whole day.
When I first got them I was concerned about the tongue being too stiff in the edging. It would press into the top of my feet and would lead to some minor discomfort from time to time, but as I've worn them in they have softened pretty nicely.
They are a great everyday, don't have to think about it shoe. Slip them on and head out the door. I'd definitely recommend these.

Just to preface this review, Timberland kindly gave me a pair of Men's Classic 2-Eye Boat Shoe for free so that I could review it, but my opinions are still my own.
Compared to other boat shoes I've worn in the past, these stand out for their overall build quality and comfort. Many boat shoes I've tried tend to feel stiff out of the box or wear down quickly, but these feel more durable and supportive and the stitching feels more solid than similar styles from other brands. They DO have some break in required as expected, but even still they are pretty comfortable to me. Usually for most boat shoes my feet tend to be sore after just 30 minutes but these are comfortable for much longer. The color on these is amazing and more elevated than just an all black pair and they have a bit of a redish, almost oxblood-like, color to them rather than a brown you'd expect which is nice. Overall, I think if you are looking to buy a pair of shoes I would check these out as a first pick. I would definitely purchase another pair in a different color.

These are clean, classic, and worth it. The brown looks even better in person, and they've got that sharp, timeless look without trying too hard. They work whether you're dressing decent or just trying to throw something on and still look put together.
What I like most is they don't feel cheap or gimmicky. Solid build, comfortable once broken in, and they actually make an outfit look better. You can tell this is one of those shoes that stays in rotation instead of getting worn twice and forgotten.
Overall, if you want a boat shoe that looks masculine, simple, and legit, this is a strong pick.

When I first opened the box, I thought this shoe looked very stylish. I put them on and they very comfortable and true to size. What's great is that they can be slipped on and slipped off. Definitely would recommend to anyone that wants a nice and comfortable shoe.

I've been wearing these boat shoes for daily use and they exceeded my expectations. The leather feels premium and well-crafted, and the overall design looks classic and versatileit pairs well with both casual and slightly dressy outfits.
What really stands out is the comfort. They were comfortable right out of the box with almost no break-in period, and I can wear them all day without any discomfort. The sole provides good support and grip, which makes them great for walking.
The build quality also seems very solid. After multiple wears, they still look great and hold their shape well. Overall, this is a great value for the price, and I would definitely buy them again.

Timberland boots got me through many Chicago winters, but that was 30 years ago. I was curious to see if they were still the same workhorses. I'm happy to report that they are. You can't go wrong with Timberlands.

I ordered these in size 14, and they fit true to size right out of the box. The craftsmanship is solid, and the leather feels durable yet comfortable. They pair perfectly with navy, gray, or khaki pantsgreat for both casual and semi-dress looks. Definitely worth the buy!

I like to wear brown/khaki and blue, so I have this shoe in both brown and blue. It's both casual and classy and you can't miss the quality look. At times I let them get a bit scuffed and dirty but they clean up nicely and with a bit of polish and the Timberland spray they come back to looking great again. They wear like forever! I enjoy them just about every day.
