There is a raised edge at the front of the shoe and my toes hit it - makes the shoe uncomfortable - cost way too much to compromise on a problem fit.

I had high hopes for this shoe. Not too ugly for a comfort shoe. The footbed is soft with a high arch–perfect for my bony feet, which are plagued by flares of plantar fascitis. However, the inside of my right foot hung over the edge of the footbed by just a bit and caused uncomfortable friction. Oh well.

Out of the box, this sandal was gorgeous!! Classy colors to the leather, and that oh-so-comfy Aetrex footbed. BUT!! Within 6 weeks of normal wear, the leather was scraped and injured, making them appear like old last year's throw-aways. Really awful looking, even with jeans. Also, the cross strap was so long that there was a 2" overlap flapping at the side of the shoe, and after getting wet in the rain the overlap curled up and looked ridiculous. Getting wet was the death knell - they stank really badly, and foot odor has never been a problem for me. I truly resent having paid the money for this short-lived loser. And if you live in the Pacific NW where rain is the norm, just forget it. They will deform and smell. By the way, I am a petite 120-pounder and used these for walking mostly on sidewalks - they were not abused in any way, they just lacked substance. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
