Never thought I would own a real pair of "cowgirl" boots because of those pointed toes. These fatboys are perfect...no pointed toes and the fix is amazing! Love these!

I 1st ordered 11.5 and couldn't get my foot through. The size though seemed correct. Then I exchanged and they shipped immediately size 12. Size 12 was about 14 sizes bigger than my foot. And the upper part was so wide; flopping around I couldn't wear any jeans over the boots. So I returned them and unfortunately gave up. Otherwise, they are really beautiful boots.

I bought these in June of 2019. I wore them everyday and they are comfortable but not as durable as I had hoped. It's now August and they are falling apart unfortunately and no longer waterproof. They are great for light usage but not everyday farmwork.

I was so excited to have a fresh pair of Ariats - my old ones are 15+ years old! These seemed to fit the bill and I wore them for about a year. I finally had to give up on them because they stretched out so much that I had to wear two pairs of socks with them and they still were loose! Rather disappointing, especially since I've had 5 other pairs of Ariats over the years that worked out well.

The boots look nice and are pretty comfortable. Sizing is definitely an issue, and the manufacturer needs to figure out some quality control issues! When I finally found some that fit right, they were a half size smaller than my tennis shoe size, in a wide. I originally ordered this size, but the left boot was smaller than the right one. Thinking it may have been my feet (never had the issue before), I returned them and ordered this same size (half size smaller than my norm), and my normal size. The pair in my normal size were way too big. The 2nd pair a half size smaller fit pretty well.

I found this otherwise beautiful and well-made boot to have a very flat and hard footbed. It was tight across the top of my foot. I was very disappointed that I couldn't make them work for me, since they looked so good and looked like they'd last for many years - I had to return them. If you put in your own insole, and size to have room for it, they might work great.

received these 3 days ago. bought the hombre red. It is more of a brown with a little red hue. toe is very tight. i always by a "B" width in my Ariat boots but find these almost too tight to wear.. Would not recommend if you have a slightly wide foot. narrower than most "B". I may have to return

Great boot except for color. They are very comfortable, but are not really black, rather a weird shade of blue. "Distressing" looks a bit like mildew.

I've owned these for few years and the boots are still in excellent shape all around except for the pink lining which is peeling, flaking and making a general mess every time I remove my boot. I have another pair of Fatbabys that also have a colored lining and it is sealed and flat like the day I bought them. Maybe I just got a defective pair? These boots are the most comfortable shoes I own but I only wear them around the house and for outside work now because of the mess.

Sizing is off. I wear a 9 in running shoes. Ordered a 8 wide and 8.5 regular. The 8 wide was too sloppy. The 8.5 regular felt just right when I bought them, but now a week later it still slips on the heal. The 8 regular felt too small at the time, but I probably should have gotten that and let it loosen up. Love the boots, but the sizing is really frustrating.

I bought these about 9 months ago and the tred is almost completely worn off. I'm hard on boots, but I expected more from them since I've been purchasing from Ariat for years. They are nice on the eyes but I wouldn't reccommend them for barn work.

I wear a size 13 and the 13 D was very tight on me. I returned them and ordered in a EE. Hopefully those will fit better. Nice looking boot!

Bought a pair about 2.5 years ago and they had not much tread on the sole brand new. They got decent traction but I found myself sliding on gravel when walking on pavement and forget wet weather traction unless you are walking on very clean flat concrete. After about a year the soles are smooth as butter so no traction in wet grass or mud or really anything. Very comfortable boot however, I swap the insoles for some gel ones which helped I'm sure but the soft flexible uppers on the boot make them extremely comfortable.

Boots run small so order a half size longer than what you normally wear. Cute boots though.

Love the boots and the way they look. Fit was a bit snugger than the last pair I bought a few years back. Had to go up a half size. Hopefully when they get broke in they will live up to the fatbaby name and widen out like my last pair.

I was given these as a gift, and unfortunately they don't fit. I have a wide forefoot but generally a low volume foot and skinny ankles. I am usually a US mens 12, and I got the 12 EEWide. the toe box is perfectly wide enough, but the heel is so wide my foot just slides around in the boot. Maybe if I got a US11 EEWide they would fit better. I have tried a few different ways to keep my heel down, but since the majority of the boot is pliable leather, they have been unsuccessful. If not for the giant heel pocket, these would be great boots for both casual and outdoor rec/work. 10/10 style and comfort 5/10 for personal fit.

I tried them on and with the waterproofing it was too narrow. I have a previous pair that is really getting worn out.....many years... and that pair was fine

I bought these boots last summer in teal. I love the color. It's vibrant and I get compliments often. However, the boots fit extremely tight across the top - so much so that I have to urge myself to wear them more often. I have 4 pairs of Ariats and I love them all except for this one. They are always super comfortable from the start with no need to "break them in" except for this pair. Slowly over time they seem to be getting a little better and stretching out more so they're not so uncomfortable but it's been a long time coming.

I borrowed a pair of Ariat hikers from a friend when I went to Iceland for 11 days. I loved them, rode for days, and hiked all over. No blisters, lots of room for warmer socks. I decided to buy a pair of my own. Have to say I do like them, but disappointed on the padding. The older pair has a nice soft fluffy top and extra padding in the boot, also the tongue of the boot is very thick, could not even feel the laces. Ariat must have decided to save a few pennies and cut down on that. I find the boot now moves around more, and I had to find something to put under the tongue to stop the laces digging in. It's to bad they decided to do that.. Went from an amazing boot you could wear all day, to one you wear to ride, put your horse away, and take them off.

UPDATE: I wore my new Brooklyn's on Christmas Eve and noticed that they're not as cushy as all my other Ariats. When I got home, I pulled them off and reached inside to pull the footbed out to inspect it. Turns out the Brooklyn doesn't have the REMOVABLE Ariat ATS footbed! They have footbeds but they look different and they're glued down to the sole. What the heck? That was most definitely not advertised when I bought these boots. Disappointed!
