First pair but not my last. I'll admit that this is my first pair of Ariats and for that matter, western styled boots in general. I started off looking for something that had a squared toe with a style that could go from casual Friday to weekend wear easily so I thought I'd give these a try. The first thing I noticed when taking them out of the box is that these are some seriously sturdy boots, heavy leather and well made; the shaft is supple and soft but is a slightly lighter color than the base of the boot, this isn't a problem, just an observation. Since they are a tall boot without a zipper they are a bit of work to put on but once on they fit perfectly, with two caveats; the first is that all the reviews are right, count on ordering a full size smaller than you normally wear; I'm not sure what it is with boot makers but they all seem to run large. The second is that, yes, they fit like a glove, which is to say that the padded insole is nicely contoured and actually offers a degree of arch support and that the boot is not voluminous like a work boot. I have a relatively thin foot and these fit me perfectly, I can see that if you have a wider foot you may want to think about ordering the wider option. The real test of these Ariats is how they feel walking around. They're great. While I may not be on my feet twelve hours a day they were completely comfortable all day at the office whether walking or at the desk, this last part is key since they were not overly hot, a concern I had with such a high boot. They also look great with khakis or jeans, subtle enough that they don't scream boot but with a distinct style that says they're more than the plain shoes others are wearing on the elevator. At the end of the day when I slipped them off there isn't so much a feeling of relief but a sense appreciation. These are really great boots, I'm glad I took the chance with them; try them, you'll likely be impressed. I know I am.

Great boot. Looks great, feels great. I originally purchased a half size smaller than usual, because I saw lots of comments that the boot felt large. I disagree. I had to return the boots and get my normal size. Zappos was great. The new boots arrived the following day. Zappos is awesome.

These are great, comfortable and stylish kick around boots. I think the sizing is right on. I have always fit my boots this way: the fit should be where there is a little slip in the heel (maybe ¼") Once the boots are worn in, the heel will conform and the slippage will disappear. Boots are only as good as the fit. Treat yourself to a good pair of socks! I highly recommend Dan Post Cowboy Certified socks. They are the best socks that I have found for boots!

Great looking boot. Fits very true to size (I wear a 13 in dress shoes, basketball shoes and running shoes). Perfect for a good boot scoot.

These boots are a great. Generous toe box, plenty of heal for digging in to the stirrups, Highly recommended for the casual rancher. Whether your shoveling horse poop at Bradshaw Ranch or throwing back a cold beer at the local watering hole, these boots are up to the task. Rating 5/5!

I LOVE these boots. These are definitely rock-star cool and pretty comfortable as well! HOWEVER, the sizing runs HUGE. I wear a 9.5 in a regular shoe and up to a 10.5 in a running shoe. I wear an 8.5 in these. Other than that... no complaints. Very cool. They look awesome with jeans.

Awesome boots! I'm not sure what all the fuss is about sizing. I wear a 10.5 and the 10.5 fit perfectly (I also ordered size 10 and 9.5 based on all the previous reviews). I couldn't even begin to get my foot into the size 10. Maybe one of Ariat's factories in China put out a wrong sized lot recently? Who knows?

1st cowboy boot I've ever owned. I love em. I've worn mine nearly every day since 2014 (its 2018 now). I live in a concrete jungle and it takes the pavement just fine! Wear them with jeans 100% time and love the look and feel of them. I'm going to buy my 2nd pair here soon as my sole is cracking and when I walk through a puddle my sock gets wet. But 5he uppers have aged beautifully, a little lotion here and there and I'm good!

These boots are great looking! I bought a size 12EE, which were just a little too big. So I thought A 11½EE would be perfect. They do not offer that size in this style. I went with a 11½D and they fit decently. They are a little tight so I am not sure what to do. I may have find different boots. Regardless, these are very nice boots and I highly recommend buying this style. Zappos is great, they went way beyond working with me on this order, thank you! These boots met my expectations in every respect. I have a wide foot as a result of 45 years of running. I also have tendinitis and must have a strong, stable shoe/boot with good arch support. These boots fit the bill. The lower parts of the boot are very thick, durable leather. The uppers are very soft and supple. The soles look as if they will last. Overall, I am very pleased with these boots.

Lots of discussion on this so let me jump in on my experience with the sizing. I'm normally a men's 10 1/2. Sort of wide. since most folks said order this boot in a 1/2 size down that's what i did and got a 10. They looked great out of the box. A little hard to put on but once my foot was in it felt a little loose in side in that my foot could slide back and forth a little inside to boot. Also lots of room in the toe. Zappos actually has a video on boot sizing which I watched so and that recommended that if your feet slide inside it's a little too big. I then exchanged them for a 9 1/2. Those felt so tight that I almost couldn't get them on. It ends up I have sort of a high arch which makes it hard to get your foot past the roof of the boot. Once I did, though, the boots felt a little snug but not too tight. It ends up the just needed breaking in. I kept wearing them for the next few days and sure enough, the adjusted to my feet and feel great. They go on easier too now. Still need to grab on and pull the loops to get them on but once your feet "pop" in they fit great. I can wear them all day. They are very comfortable. So my suggestion is if they feel a little snug when you first get them - wear them a few days to see if they break in for you. Hope this review helps. By the way, they look great with jeans. A nice, casual boot.

As with every pair of Ariat boots either me or my wife have owned, these are incredibly comfortable. I don't think you will find a more comfortable boot for all day on your feet.

Amazing boot! Listen to the others, if you have normal width feet, order a full size smaller. You want them very snug on your metatarsal, with just a bit of slip in the heel. After they break in, your feet will feel as good as they look.

Great boot and was exactly the look I wanted. As pretty much everyone else said, order at least a half size smaller than your usual size and they are a bit narrow (being tall and skinny that's not much of an issue for me, though). Bit of a workout to get on the first few times, but they ARE boots so I can deal with that. All in all quite happy with these and my wife loves how they look on me (which is kind of a good thing!).

Very good boot -- once you find the right size. The sizing standards seem wildly different from normal. I normally wear a size 9.5 shoe, but after numerous trade-ins, settled for a 7.5 with this boot. Very comfortable once broken in. These function well as riding boots for a motorcycle.

I just got my Ramblers yesterday and they are indeed stylish. Very chill boot. I dig 'em hardcore. I've always wanted boots like these. You should certainly give credence to reviews that say these run large. It's true. After perusing reviews, I ordered my pair a half size smaller than I usually wear. I'm sending them back today in exchange for another half size down. I have always worn 11s, and indeed some of my shoes in 11 are almost too small, but I'm getting these in 10. The 10.5. I ordered feel snug in the instep as it should, but it's just a tad too long, and will probably stretch enough to allow for a bit too much movement inside the boot. Though heel slippage is to be expected in new boots, the slippage here in these 10.5 is excessive, and there is plenty of room in the toe. Yes, these boots are super cool, tough, and authentic. They are all they're cracked up to be. However, as unlikely as it sounds, they run a full size large.

Good Boot - The Ariat Rambler does fit about 1 shoe size smaller than what I normally wear. They are breaking in nicely. The instep was a bit tight, but they are breaking in.

Great look. Got these for hubby for his birthday. He loved them, but they run big. Had to send them back and get a smaller size.

I love these boots, they are practically the only shows I wear any more. They do run large, if I would have paid attention to the reviews I would have known that. Zappos was very helpful though and they over nighted me the correct size.

I typically wear a 10.5 or 11, depending on shoe. More often than not a 10.5, average width. Many reviews said this boot runs a full size big, but since Zappos was out of stock on the 10 and 10.5, I tried an 11. Well, I know it's strange but the boot was way too small. There was no way I could even get my foot into the boot. I love the style and the boots look awesome, so I'm returning them to try an 11.5. We'll see.

I bought these boots, based on the positive reviews on here and every other site. These boots are top notch! I went with the earth with brown bomber and absolutely love them! I liked them so much that I bought same boot in black. I usually wear a size 10, but bought a 9 wide and they fit perfect! Top quality boots!
