I have been wearing Birkenstocks for 25 years and have always loved them for my flat feet and back pain. I had pairs that lasted for many years, but this pair has worn out quicker than the other pairs I've owned. The cork is cracked across the shoe at the ball of the foot on both pairs. I'm afraid they're not made as well as they used to be, but I'm so addicted to wearing them that I have no choice. It to buy another pair!

I have had these shoes for over two years. I love them, but a few months after I got them the felt under the straps started to bunch up. Though they are very durable shoes, the arch has given out, which is the main reason why I bought them. Very comfortable, stylish, and durable. But with any Birkenstock shoe, cork sealant is a necessity if you want them to last!

Very comfortable sandal but it takes a bit of time to break in the cork. I could only wear them for short periods of time when I first got them but over the course of the summer you can tell they have taken the shape of my foot. Construction and quality cannot be matched with Birks so I look forward to years of enjoyment with this sandal.

I have always wanted to own a pair of the world famous Birkenstocks, but the sandals I have tried on in stores have been a mile wide (and yes: expensive). I was thrilled to find that Zappos carried the narrow sizes as well! They arrived promptly and "Narrow" was the perfect width, when with the majority of brands I'm a normal/standard width. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends: The very precisely molded foot beds didn't conform with the shape of my foot. They are made firmly enough that I don't think they would break in over time. I am disappointed that I have to exchange them, since the classic leather-and-metal-buckles style was exactly what I am looking for; It looks so much classier than the neoprene-and-plastic I see so much of these days… (Y?Y) PHOOEY!

I love these shoes. Have great arch support. Only bad thing is this is my third, and I have to replace them yearly. I think it's because i have such a strange stride, but my do not hold up. I wear them all day every day from April to October though.

I've never had Birkenstocks before and so followed the guidelines to pick my corresponding EU size. I usually wear a size 6.5/7 or EU 37 and found the Birkenstock size guide to be accurate according to the shoes I own. However, when the Birks arrived, I realized that a 37 was too big for me. There is a size measuring guide on the inside of the box that would help you figure out what is your real Birkenstock size. According to that guide, I would actually be a size EU 36 -- I managed to get a different pair of Birks in a size 36 and they fit perfectly.

Cute and comfortable for my narrow foot

I wanted to finally invest in a pair of sandals that would be comfortable for my feet, and these truly provide a lot of comfort and support. I'm glad I splurged on it. Only thing is they were maybe a half size to big for me but when I checked to see if there were smaller sizes they were sold out and I didn't want to wait. So being a tad big, it still provided a lot of support. Maybe in a different style later I'll try for a smaller size. I normally wear a 6.5 and I ordered the 37 for reference.

I have never had Birkenstocks before because I didn't realize they came in a narrow. Love them!

On-line picutre is accurate for color. To my eye, they are a little green versus "golden brown". Fit right and normal comfortable Birkenstock experience.

The style is cute and a nice twist to the traditional two horizontal straps. I'm still breaking in the shoe so it's still a little stiff. I definitely feel the arch support which I need.

Wonderful shoe. Great style and comfortable from the beginning. The only issue is that they felt a half size larger to me. I am not returning because the only option is to go down a whole size.

The footbed was so comfortable but the leather wrap around my big toe was the deal breaker. Did not like the feel

I love hate them. I love them. And they are I bought the antique lace color and they are the microfiber and give me blisters. I walked a lot yesterday the first day I wore them, (brave, I know). I am a little concerned there is not a way to break the microfiber in. Leather I understand the concept. It gets softer. Not so sure about micro fiber. But I love them and will give them a chance. I have no arches so I was nervous about these. I wear chacos and they make my legs hurt because of their support and design. So I thought these would cause similar muscle pain. And they dont! Which I am excited about. I hope they will help distribute the weight on my foot more evenly. Making my joints happier! Yay!!

Seemed narrower and smaller footbed than my other Birks also a size 37. Toes too close to edge. Returned to order the 38.

I have a leather pair that I love. I accidentally ordered a pair in black that are made out of Birko-flor and I don't like them nearly as much. I should have returned them when I realized they weren't leather. The leather just wears better, molds to my foot and looks great! The Mayari design is great and I love the way it makes my feet look.

I love the way these shoes look. I typically get a 7 in other shoes but the Birkenstock 7 is a little big on me but I kept them anyway. If you have wider feet, I definitely suggest wearing them around the house a bit before you go out.

I usually wear a 6.5-7 and the 37 narrow fits perfectly with just a smidge of extra room at the heel. The sandals were comfy right out of the box. Of note- I have wide feet, but Birks are naturally wider, so the narrow fit was fine.

I'm in love with these sandals; I hyperventilated about the price for a little while, but I'm glad I purchased these! They're comfy and by far the most supportive shoe in my closet, yet stylish enough to dress up or down, and the silver is really pretty. I'm usually a US size 9, and the 40 feels about a half size bigger than I need, but I decided I'd rather that than a size too small. As others have noted, these do require a break-in period for the footbed to conform to your feet--for me, it took about a week of wearing them around the house for a few hours at a time. The straps, though, were comfortable right out of the box. I know these will last me through many summers, but now that I'm feeling the Birkenstock love I can't help eyeing up the Gizeh, too...

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I wear an 8-8.5 in shoes so I ordered a size 39 in mocha. It was much too large and the mocha color looks duller than in the picture. Therefore, I reordered a size 38 in toffee and I LOVE them!

I wanted Birkenstocks that were a little more fashionable, so I chose Mayari. I originally got the Havana oiled leather, which were beautiful, but the leather was so thick and stiff that they actually hurt the top of my feet, so I exchanged them for a birkibuc upper, which was much softer on my feet. I wish the straps were a little daintier, especially since my feet are small, but overall these are a great choice.

Love Birkenstocks, but my originals are about 20 years old! Wasn't sure about having something between my toes but it's not bad. And I love the fact there is no 'break-in' period. Comfortable from the moment I put them on. My feet are wide and the regular width was perfect.

How long will it take to break them in? Ouch! I've only worn them for a couple hours so far. The strap across my arch hurts. I feel bruised and actually have a red mark. The contour under my toes on the footbed is not in the right place for my feet. This also hurts. I usually wear a 9.5 so I ordered a 40, but it looks too big. Trying to decide if I should return and try a smaller size (which might improve the footbed alignment) or just return them and try something different.

Love the shoe, but it runs a bit large. I should have gotten a size smaller.
