i love these shoes! very comfortable and stylish. however, be weary of choosing a size. i originally purchased these in a size 39 (US 8-8.5), which is my normal size, and this size worked perfectly for my birkenstock arizonas, yet in the mayari, the 39 were too big. thanks to the lovely customer service of zappos (s/o to Bricklyn R.), i was able to exchange for the 38s, which fit perfectly!

Silver color was too bright and felt garish.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I tried a 39 (I wear 8.5), my usual size, and the sandal was huge, so I ordered a 38. The 38 still felt floppy on my feet until I realized that I needed to tighten the buckles (doh). I'm still getting used to them and am not sure I'm in love, yet I keep wearing them. The footbed seems really hard and perhaps a bit narrow (I ordered the regular width). The footbed has bumps and ridges that I'm not used to but are probably ergonomically better than most of my other shoes. I keep thinking of ordering them in another color, so clearly they are growing on me. I have yet to wear them on an extended walk so that will be the real test.

I am only rating these a 4 out of 5 because I didn't like the style for me. I'm sure these would be cute on other folks, however, I decided a pair of Arizona Birkenstocks would suit me better. I was also a bit worried about the toe ring feature of the shoe. As I was testing them in my house, I could tell that the toe ring portion bore a lot of weight when I was moving forward. I noticed some reviews that said that their sandals broke in that location, which gave me cause for concern, so back they are going. But it's all good, because Zappos is amazing and I had a beautiful pair of Arizona's on my doorstep the very next day (even though I ordered them at 3pm). I am a HUGE Zappos fan!

I love the style of the Mayari. They took several days to break in, and one day after walking in them one of my feet was really sore because the arch almost felt too high near the ball of my foot. But after wearing them around the house for about a week, they seem completely molded to my feet and are feeling great. I usually wear a 37 exactly, but these seem a little long and so the toe strap hits a little farther up on my toe than I think it's supposed to, but I think if I went down to a 36 they'd be too small. I love the leather and these are super comfy now to walk for hours in. I like them so much I ordered the Yara style too!

I liked these, but I ultimately had to send them back due to size. I usually wear an 11.5 women's, and the largest size Zappos has for these is a 42 EU (11-11.5 US). I can usually get away with that, but the lip at the front of the sandals got in the way of my toes and meant that I couldn't walk in these comfortably.

These have turned out to be a great pair of sandals! The black oiled leather are a soft, matte black that go with everything. I took a friends advice and wore them for about an hour a day around the house for a few days and had no issues breaking them in... I don't know that I needed to do that, but I could tell the leather was less stiff almost immediately. These are my go to sandal this summer. They appear a little wide (like all Birk's) but the stylishness of the straps balances that and gives a feminine look. I had no problem with the fit- the sizing was in-line with other Birk's I have worn. Thanks to Zappos for carrying several different colors! I highly recommend these sandals.

I'm ready for Summer and very happy to have another pair of Birkenstocks. The last pair I had was years ago. I'm not thrilled about the "non-leather" upper (hence the 4 stars), but that was the only option for the color I wanted. I do agree with other reviews that these run about a half size big. That never happens for me, but I did have to size down. Thanks Zappos for your great shipping / return policy.

This shoe is very nice and would be comfortable for someone without bunions as the strap cuts right across that part of the foot. Sadly I had to return them.

Great, but runs big.

I had to give this product 4 stars but will explain why. This is my first Birkenstock purchase and when I get them I was ecstatic. They are comfortable and stylish and go with everything! I unfortunately got out of my pool and put these on without thinking about it and they dried a weird darker brown color. I called customer service and they sent me out a new pair and told me to donate the other pair to someone in need and will do just that. The woman that I spoke to made feel like I was important and for that, I will continue to purchase from Zappos due to their commitment that they have for their customers.

this is a beautiful shoe! unfortunately the smallest size is about a half size too large (and they don't have this style in kids sizes)

Send me felt great, considering the brand. When adjusting the straps to fit my feet, my right foot had the circulation cut off on the top. Just not the style for me.

I like these sandals! Fits me like any other Birkenstock fits me, which - I really appreciate the predictability. Can't always get shoes from same maker to fit. I got the stone color and like it very much. The straps are narrower than a lot of the other sandals - I like it! Gives a slightly more feminine appearance that I didn't know I wanted. I was worried about the toe thing, but it is not at all constricting, and while I still feel it/know it's there, it's not a bad feeling to me.

I love them but I wear an 8 1/2 W and got the 39 and I’m sending them back to get a size bigger. I also opted to go for the real leather, it’s well worth it for the small price difference.

I bought these originally in Mocha in the "Narrow" width because I was reading that the "Narrow' width is for narrow to regular feet and the "Regular" width is for regular to wide feet, I don't necessarily have wide feet so I thought narrow would work. When I received my pair, they were VERY narrow. So I returned/exchanged them for the color in Toffee Birko-Flor because Mocha was sold out in the "Regular" width. When I received the Toffee color, the fit was perfect! ...but I was a huge fan of the color brown on my feet, so I returned/exchanged them for the ones in Licorice Birko-flor. The color was gorgeous but the fit is what stumped me. I ordered them in "Regular" and it read "Regular" on the box and shoe, but they felt so narrow. I had to send them back. The point is, unless you have really narrow feet, I suggest sticking with the "Regular" width for this style of Birkenstocks. I do feel like the widths vary from style to style when it comes to the Birkenstock brand. For example, the "Narrow" width in the Mayari style was too narrow, but the "Narrow" width in the Arizonas were just fine. Overall, they were great shoes, super supportive, but I suggest you find a store that carries Birks near you, trying them on in person, and then placing your order on Zappos. If you can't, either way Zappos has a fabulous customer service team that is so very friendly and makes returns easy and hassle free! As far as the Licorice-Birko Flor color and the Toffee-Birko Flor color, both being in "Regular" widths, but both feeling as if they were different widths...I am not sure.

Love the shoe but color is no where near what picture looks like. Also seems there is something rubbing from the strap making a raw spot. Hope it clears up soon.

Size and fit were good. The leather was a bit "sharp" against the top of my foot to start with, so it took some breaking in to be completely comfortable.

These are really cute, but unfortunately my feet are not only super wide, but my toes go almost straight across (especially on my right foot), so they hit right at the ridge at the front of the foot bed. If my feet were more "normally" shaped, they would be perfect. I'm sad to have to return them.

I really like these sandals. They required no breaking in, and they definitely don’t feel flimsy Ike most sandals. My only complaint is although they are a perfect fit I still feel like I’m squeezing my toes to keep them on my feet. I think it’s just because they’re heavy and I’m hoping I’ll get used to it because otherwise I really like them.

I chose to stay with my normal size and choose narrow. It was the absolute right fit for my feet. I unfortunately have uneven sized feet. My left foot is a half size bigger than my right. My left foot fit perfectly into the Birks however it took at least five days of breaking them in as suggested to get my Right foot adjusted to the sandal. It's true these sandals are worth the money. My feet feel so supported and I personally love the look of them.

These sandals were really cute. I probably needed to go down a size to get a better fit, but they turned out to be more casual than I was looking for right now. Returned them.

It took a while to figure out what size I needed, but now that I know, they are great! In the Arizona style I always wear a 39 narrow (8-8.5 US). So I ordered a 39 in the Mayari. They were a little too long. I exchanged for a 38 regular width and they are great. I think since these are a feminine style, I didn't need the narrow like in the unisex Arizona style. So I would order a size down and stick with the regular width if you aren't are true narrow. Others have mentioned the big toe loop that isn't adjustable and that bothers me a little bit, but I am overlooking it.

I had to return because the straps around the toe were uncomfortable. I'll have to try the more traditional style.

Cute sandals. Runs large. I had to size down a full size.
