I wear a size 8, but ordered a size smaller (38) and they fit perfect. I did send back because of the shine on the Birk-flor, the color was great but I just couldn't get pass the shine. Zappo's is great, but it would have saved shipping back and forth if they had said it had a shine to it.

I loved these sandals until the toe loop pulled out through normal wear. I'm going to order them again hoping this is an anomoly. Cross your fingers for me.

I would have kept this particular pair of shoes if the left toe loop had not been 1/4” longer than the right. It was very obvious that it was longer. The second pair of same style and color that I ordered has the same problem but not to the degree that the first pair has.

Okay so I really love these sandals, but they still don't quite love me. I bought them almost 6 weeks before my trip to France so I could wear them on the trip. I wore them almost every day to get them broken in. But now almost 3 months later the arches are still giving me blisters if I wear them for too long. Everything else was fine after a week, but the arches are *so* very high on these. Normally I live in Chacos, and these are way higher. But they are so so cute and comfortable otherwise. I've even been wearing them around the house because they are better than walking on the hard floor! I love that I can wear them with dresses and still feel like I look nice. I got them in the licorice color, so a shiny textured black. I have very wide feet, so I still had to size up a little in these, but just a smidge and they are great. I tried the Gizah first and they were definitely too narrow. Overall, definitely recommend. I still have high hopes that I'll be able to wear them all day soon. Just taking some time! Well made, cute, and comfy, but they require some breaking in. The leather strap between the toes is a bit stiff, but not to the point that it hurts.

So I bought the Mayari Birks in stone color for an upcoming trip to Greece. I've resisted buying Birks because I genuinely never found them attractive or appealing for my feet, despite the fact that they are very trendy. Since I've bought them, my opinion has improved. I have a pretty wide foot, size 9 in most shoes. But I can usually get away with regular width. I bought these Marayi's in a size 39 and they fit good. I am curious if a size 38 would have worked, but 39 fits fine, so I'll keep them. At first, I thought they made my feet look very large (And i'm already a size 9 so its not like my feet are petite to begin with) but now that they're starting to "mold" to my feet, I don't feel as if they look as large as they used too, or maybe I'm just getting used to how they look on my feet? They do feel very secure on my foot, and I'm looking forward to walking all around Santorini in them. Mine didn't require a break-in period. They are getting more comfortable on my foot as I wear them more and more, but they were not uncomfortable at first. I wore them a few days just around the office, and for the most part I had no issues with comfort. I like the stone color. I think it goes with a lot of colors. My second choice would have been the mocha, because I think it's a pretty brown, but I'm glad I got the stone. If I wasn't going on a trip to a place where heels/wedges are frowned upon, I probably wouldn't have gotten them. But I am happy I now have a sandal that I'll be able to walk around a lot in (hopefully). So they'll serve their purpose. All in all, a pretty decent shoe that you won't get made fun of for wearing, with a lot of comfort and durability.

I have narrow feet so I loved the narrow option. The color is bright and adds some excitement to a boring outfit. It did take some time to get used to the shoes but I think that is only because they mold to your feet. I’m usually a 7.5-8 so I sized down and it’s perfect.

I normally wear a 7.5-8, and I needed a 37 in these. Using the millimeter measurement was really helpful (I.e. my foot has a maximum length of 238 mm and I order the size 37 / 6-6.5 which is for 240 mm feet. The first pair I ordered had a significant difference is the size of the ‘bump’ in the middle of the foot bed, so I ordered a second pair, which was fine. These shoes will require some breaking in to the foot bed before they don’t give blisters on longer walks, which is fine, and to be expected.

The footbed looked like it had been scruffed up a bit, overall the shoes were great.

I first ordered the tobacco, but the color of the pair I received was very different than the one pictured here. The pair I got was much lighter with no darkness to them. I’d say more of the color fawn than a dark tobacco. I returned them and waiting on black since that was the only pair in leather in my size.

Love these, my 2nd pair of mayari. They last for years and get more comfortable as you wear them. You can't go wrong with birkenstock

Love the shoe but prefer real leather over the synthetic

I like these sandals. The toe ring and arch strap make them feel more secure than a thong or a slide. The heel cup is deep; I would guess zero heel drop or close to it. Overall very nice. The only small negative I have is that I wish the color was a deeper brown. The sandals come in multiple different browns and it was impossible to tell much of a difference on screen.

As much as I loved the style the oiled leather was too stiff. I didn’t want to risk breaking them in and still not be satisfied so I’m returning them for the toffee birko flor.

I consistently wear a size 7, so Zappos recommended a size 38 for me. The size 38 was way too big me, so I returned them. I sized down to a size 37, which Zappos recommends for a size 6-6.5. I thought these would work, but having worn them for a couple months, they are still to big for me. I regret keeping these and wish I had ordered a size 36, which Zappos recommends for a size 5-5.5. Again, I wear a size US 7, so I thought a 36 would be way too small according to Zappos. However, I tried on a size 36 in a store, and learned this is actually for a US size 7. I think these would be a great shoe if I had the right size, but don't trust Zappos sizing for Birkenstocks. Order way smaller than you think you need.

I purchased these in stone. They are cute and very "in" throughout the Midwest. But they are still not very comfortable, even after several months of moderate wear.

I loved the fit and style of these sandals, but sadly the toe loop was HUGE on me. I even ordered the narrows and I do not believe I have horribly narrow feet. Unfortunately they went back.

Happy feet!! It has been years since I wore Birks, and since I got this new pair I haven't wanted to take them off. If you have "standard" feet, the Birkenstock footbed gives fantastic support. They didn't seem to need breaking in, because on the first day I got them I went and walked on a (flat) trail for 1.5 hours with no rubbing or blisters. The suede footbed is great - no sweating or stinkiness. The right size is the prize! I originally ordered my usual size (37) and since Birks are so roomy I exchanged it for a 36 which looks much better. I ordered the Habana color. (I liked the other reviewer who said they make her feel like a Granola Goddess!)

I want to update my review! At first when I received these, they hurt a lot, and the buckle annoyingly brushed against my toes causing irritation. But after trying it out a few more times, they're actually pretty comfortable! I think with Birkenstocks you have to break them in a little more than I'm used to with a sandal. But I'll be keeping these after all!

I LOVE the way these look, but unfortunately, I tested them out for just a few hours and found that the buckle kept rubbing against my toes and that the base was rubbing/slightly burning my feet. When I took them off my feet felt instant relief. I'm not sure what the exact reasons are - I've never heard a bad word about Birks - but I'll have to return these!

Love Birkenstocks, but this was my first experience with this style. I didn't love them - I ordered a narrow, but wish I had ordered regular width.

So Birks are back in style - who'd have thunk it?! My pair of Floridas (3-strap style) is almost 20 years old so I decided to re-invest in a pair. Birkenstocks are so ugly they're cute. And NOTHING beats the comfort of them - it's like I made a footprint in the sand and they made a shoe from that mold. I don't often like mule styles (no heel strap) but Birks stay on my feet, I guess because of the molded footbed. I wear a 7 in US sizing and a 37 in Euro (e.g. Danskos) but when I put Mayari size 7 on they just looked big on my foot. Out of personal (aesthetic) preference I'm exchanging them for a size 36. They'll probably need some breaking in, but that's okay. Can't wait to wear them on the weekends with capris, dresses, and skorts!

This is a nice sandal, but the material feels cheaper than previous. I am returning for the oiled leather.
