I've tried almost every Mayari and I love the look, but they suction squeak on the bottom of my feet. Back to my trusty Arizona softbed.

Loved this shoe. Unfortunately, because I have a bunion and my toes aren’t straight, the toe strap didn’t feel comfortable.

Super cute! I need a narrow and the buckle straps we great for a narrow but the one strap over the toe that was not adjustable was not a narrow. It gapped all around the toe. Unfortunately I had to return them.

I like these shoes but like other reviews say they run a half size large. The contouring in the footbed must fit perfect or they are not comfortable at all. The footbed is hard but with the contouring the shoes provide great arch support. The color is my only disappointment. I ordered tobacco because I really liked the vintage look to the color. However, my pair is just a light brown with zero color variation. I thought maybe the issue was just a difference in the picture on the website and the actual product until my mom ordered the exact same shoe in tobacco and her pair does have the color variation. Now I am even more disappointed since I really wanted the vintage look. I plan to wear these on a upcoming trip so I don’t want the hassle of returning them for the true color I ordered.

So, I bought these shoes as I have been struggling with some feet issues, but also wanted something that looked cute. I was hopeful for these shoes, but I was also a little doubtful, as I have very thick (deep, tall?) feet and a lot of the times shoes w/straps on my foot, near my ankle just aren't long enough. I saw on the Birkenstock website that they actually market this shoe to men and women, and so I thought I'd give it a chance, as I sometimes do better with men's sandals than women's (though they are not as cute at all). First I loved the way my foot/sole felt in these shoes. I felt like the regular width did really well with my fred flintstone wide feet. I was very excited to be able to wear them. The straps around my big toe/toes felt fine, as far as the trying them on process went. But alas, as I had feared, the strap closer to the ankle was not long enough for my foot :( . I'm sad that these didn't fit my feet, but I have ordered other styles in hopes that those ones will.

First the golden sheen they have kind of threw me. I wasn't expecting that. These were just okay. I have wide, flat feet and felt that these were not very comfortable, especially in the middle rubbing oddly on the sides of my feet. Sending back and trying a more traditional Birkenstock since I need the support.

I love Birkenstocks but I was very disappointed with this shoe. The Birko flor must be different than the other Birkenstock footbeds. It was not comfortable. I think the footbed may have been slightly defective as the heel cup on the right shoe pushed too far inward and was very uncomfortable. Also, I ordered the Golden Brown, which was not leather, but a vinyl like material. This was very uncomfortable in between my toes, and it felt like the material would cut into my toes. Love Birkenstocks, but this shoe will have to go back to Zappos. Will re order in the more expensive leather version. Am giving only 3 stars on comfort and overall due to the possible defect and uncomfortable vinyl like material.

We found the shoes are nearly a full size larger than before. They would fit perfectly if I wear hiking socks but most customers purchase Birkenstock as summer shoes. Too bad Birkenstock do not offer half size in between.

The medium width was too large for my foot. Not only that, but the length of the shoe was at least 1/2 size too long.

I love Birkenstock and have at least 5 pair, all oiled leather. I ordered this in Birko-flor because I read the straps were soft and more comfortable. I really don’t like them. Even the footbed feels cheap. There is glue everywhere and the footbed is damaged. I find they run true to size. Ordered my usual 40 Birk size and they fit great. I haven’t had luck lately ordering from Zappos but I may try oiled leather straight from Birkenstock.

WOW....What has happened to Birkenstock...?? I have been wearing this brand for years - always great construction/great quality. Not anymore. Materials used are cheaper quality. Some of the glue sites are done wrong. The footbed feels different from shoe to shoe. Really surprising. And REALLY disappointing. Going back...

They were too big and the leather was very stiff. I sent them back and got a size 36 Salina which fit perfectly. A 37 is too big for a size 6. They were a pretty color though, just didn't work out.

I've owned 4 size 38 Mayari in the past few years, but when I received this pair it was almost as if two different shoes were put into the same box. One sandal was the proper fit, the toe loop on the other was stretched out, almost as if it had been worn (but the sole wasn't even dirty so I know that wasn't the case). The leather on one sandal was really distressed while the other was almost shiny. I'll be returning and hopefully getting another pair. Love the color!

they broke after 2 months! ?

I did not receive the shoes in the photo! The color was supposed to be the oiled tobacco, and it was like a light grey-beige. Also, the straps felt like cheap foam!? WTH? This is VERY different from previous Mayari sandals I’ve purchased, and certainly not Birkenstock quality. Also, the toe strap was very uncomfortable. I’m returning, and will continuing wearing my old pair :(

Comfortable and looked good, but broke (just with regular use) within four months, which is SO disappointing. Buyer beware.

I have owned an identical pair of Mayari for three or four years - love them and have almost worn them out! I bought these as a replacement but was immediately met with sharp spots where the straps meet the footbed. Looking closer, there is seepage of some very hard (and sharp) glue at all of the points and it is painful. I hope this is not the new norm for Birkenstock :-(. Unfortunately, these are going back.

I wanted to love this shoe. My mom has worn Birks for years and I decided to finally try them. They were excruciatingly painful. I have had bouts of plantar fasciitis in the past so I thought the arch support would be helpful. The arches were so painful and the shoe bed was so inflexible, I couldn’t wear them for more than 5 minutes. I tried for several days and finally gave them to my mom. They were also a bit on the narrow side and I do not have a wide foot.

Overall item was comfortable and looked nice. My pair broke after only a few times wearing them. The toe band snapped out from where it was sewed.

I've worn Birkenstocks for nearly 20 years, usually replacing them after years of use as the soles finally break down. I've been wearing my first pair of the Mayari style intermittently for 8 months and the cork already has huge deep cracks near the leather attachments where the foot bends. I've never had Birkenstocks that have cracked like this or soles that have broken down this much at only 8 months in. I take care to not get them wet, don't store them in excessive heat, and they shouldn't get too dry in my humid Florida climate. Disappointed at the quick deterioration of shoes I typically get much more wear from.

These were my all time favorite burks, after having them less than a year the strap broke away from the foot bed. There was no way to fix it, my mom said the same happened to hers. Massive design flaw Birkenstock’s

The buckles on these shoes hit at the wrong spot and pinched my foot right away. I can’t imagine them becoming more comfortable over time. Back they go, unfortunately.
