I hesitated, believe me. I had flashbacks of walking around Harvard Square in the early 90s in faded jeans, a flannel wrapped around my waist (why?) and a pair of Birks on my feet. But flash-forward 20 years and here I am with rheumatoid arthritis and the sinking realization that all my pretty heels are only going to collect dust from here on out. So I cave, and opt for these. I am in LOVE and I don't care who knows. Seriously, I wear these all day everyday. And they don't seem so ugly- they're silver, after all. And the straps are less chunky. So it's a win!

These sandals were my first pair of Birkenstocks and INCREDIBLY comfortable. After having them for a month and a half or so, some of the buckles started to rust unfortunately but I will forever be loyal to Zappos for their amazing customer service to take care of the issue. I had never heard of this happening with these shoes especially so soon after buying them so I called the customer service line. Not only were they willing to let me return or exchange them for a new pair no questions asked, but paid the difference when I decided to buy a slightly more expensive pair as a courteous gesture for the defective sandals! I feel like I have won something because I have seriously never experienced such OUTSTANDING customer service, so thank you Zappos!:)

Best decision I've made all summer. I have wide feet, rather large feet (size 9) and walk a lot (as a dog walker, to and from work, etc.) so lots of summer footwear/sandals just didn't cut it and left my feet feeling sore. Now I wear these sandals all day every day even when I'm inside because they're just so dang comfortable. And they go with everything! As with all sandals, order 1/2 to a full size less than normal. I got a size 8 but I'm a size 9 in closed toe shoes.

I had to return this since it was big and the next size down is too small. I am normally a 37 (6.5) but this did not fit right.

AMAZING! I love Danskos, but was looking for something more casual for summer. So comfortable--and I wear them all day long. My feet and I are both happy. Looks great with casual summer dresses.

If you have a high arch and a medium to narrow foot, the narrow in the Mayari offers wonderful arch support. The footbed is quite comfortable. The golden brown is like a bronze and looks a bit dressier than an average Birkenstock.

The best summer sandals. I'm a mom of three little people and needed something I could slip on easily and wear all day and that would go with anything. I've gotten so many compliments on these shoes and I love how comfortable and practical they are.

Amazing customer service! I called because I ordered the wrong color and the man on the phone was beyond helpful, canceled my previous order and exchanged it for the one I originally wanted! Great website!

I've worn them all over Europe for the last month. Feet have held up well. Not even a break in blister. This is my favorite Birkenstock. So comfortable and easy to keep on. And somehow less clunky. I got the brown -- toffee I think. Very neutral & matches most everything.

Took a few days to break in, but after that they are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. They molded to my feet perfectly and will be my go to summer shoes.

These are great sandals! I've had many pairs of Birks, but was getting sick of the same old style, and the Gizeh feels weird on my toes. These are great - a bit more dainty and feminine, with all the same support other Birks offer. This pair fits the same as all my other Birks.

Love these shoes! I'm a 9 1/2 with long toes (second toe longer than first) and the 40 fits perfectly. I have flat feet too and these feel great and supportive without being heavy at all. They are really light actually. I got stone color and love it! I have average to narrow feet and the regular (medium) fit perfectly.

Classic Birkenstock comfort with a cute style! Great purchase and exactly what I expected. They run true to size and are super easy to break in (not like my old pair of Birks).

I love these. I have a few birks and these are the best for staying on my foot as I walk. I got the black birkoflor, which is comfy inside and looks like leather. I usually get a narrow but in these I needed a regular. I'm on the middle hole for both buckles. I have a high arch and these have good arch support for me.

This is my 3rd pair of Mayari. I love these shoes. I've been wearing Birks and Haflingers for about 15 years and they've totally taken away my plantar fasciitis. Good, supportive shoes are so worth it. I'm so glad Birks have this cute style. They fit so well and look good. I have wider feet, especially since having kids, and these two brands fit perfectly. Plus, at this price? Yes, please!

Why did I ever stop wearing Birks? These fit from the minute I put them on. My feet - my whole body (I have arthritic hips) - relaxed, and in a few weeks my first-ever beginning corn disappeared. Not dressy at all, but oh yes, do try them!

I have very narrow feet and many narrow shoes are still too wide. These are adjustable in 2 places and fit like a glove. They are so comfortable. I don't want to wear anything else.

Got these as a gift for teenage granddaughter! I have been wearing them for years, was surprised when she finally wanted a pair so jumped at the chance to buy for her! She loves them! They were perfect (grandma knew they would be). I know I will be buying her more!

I love these Birkis. They fit well and comfort is great. They are much dressier looking than most Birks. I ordered 2 pair to decide which color and liked them so much I kept both pair.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years, and the Mayari has become one of my favorites. It fits well, is very comfortable, and the look is modern. Birkenstocks are my go-to summer sandal, and are what I am always wearing inside, all year long. Another plus - the next day delivery and easy returns, although I very seldom have to return anything to Zappos!

Yes! These are so great. I wear an 8M and got the 38N. They are a perfect fit and extremely comfy. The toe wrap does not rub and they do not make the obnoxious slap sound that flip flops do.

I love these shoes. They are true to the classic Biirkenstock fit, but look more stylish on my large-ish feet. I am 5' 8" with size 9.5-10's and these shoes are very flattering. They do run large - the original size 40 I ordered was definitely a size to big, but the 39's are perfect. I have high arches and a fairly bony foot, and the regular width is perfect. I said goodbye to my last pair of Birks that were finally done at 19 years old, and these are perfect for a new relationship lol.
