The footbed is good, but the tops of my feet are still unhappy after months of wear, and I wish I hadn't bought these. The leather is scratchy. If I buckle it tight enough to stay on well, it gives me blisters where the leather pieces from right and left come together. Fit is OK, though with narrow feet, they're going to be loose as they settle in. (Their narrow was too narrow for me.) I'm normally a positive person, but can't recommend these.

Decided I don’t like Birkenstocks after all. The soft bed is bogus.

These are super cute, and very comfortable. But the sole is starting to come apart already. I really expected much better quality, that’s why I paid the price I did, for birkenstocks. They’re supposed to be great. Very unhappy.

I don’t feel sure-footed wearing them, like one misstep and oops. But for a Birkenstock they sure are pretty. In the meantime I bought the Naot Atopa really-stylin’ ankle boot and I feel certain I will be accident free walking the doggies, shopping, etc. I can hang out in the Birks. P.S. Unfortunately, I had to buy the Atopa at Amazon bc, as seems to be the Zappo standard, NOTHING IS EVER IN STOCK IN MY SIZE!

I bought this sandal in another color and it’s perfect. Same size, different color and it would not fit and doesn’t seem to be of the same quality. Very disappointed!

I can't see how they can say that these have a soft footbed. I am returning them because they are hard and uncomfortable.

My first Birkenstocks purchase, only because my feet are desperate for comfort. WELL apparently I'm not THAT desperate to wear this brand yet. Sorry, BK fans. Too unstylish AND soles are clompy and unflexible. Sorry!

Ouch. The straps on these sandals hurt when walking. They hit at a weird bony place on the top of your foot and are too narrow to really distribute the force when your foot hits them. I gave them months of wearing around the house to try to break them in, but every time I took them outside I ended up wondering when I could get home to change shoes. It's a shame because the footbed is amazing. After giving up on these I ordered the Arizona Birki-buc soft footbed, which has wider and softer straps, and they broke in quickly and I can walk for miles in them.

The footbed was fine, comfy; but the straps and buckles were stiff and lumpy, and even after 4 weeks trying to break them in, painful; sore sore feet and toes! gave them away!

Was hoping these would be good for walking in the city but the straps across the top of my feet cause really bad blisters. I only wore them for short amounts of time to start with but they are not softening at all.

Normally I only buy the soft footbed. These aren't even close to the other soft foot beds I have. Very little cushioning in them. Still have to break them in. Would I send them back? No but disappointed in what I paid for!

I need a good supportive walking sandal for the summer because my feet are pronated and swell in the hot weather. The Birkenstocks give you really good arch support and cradle your foot. I am a size 5,5 1/2 wide. The size 36 regular were a whole size too large and wide. I tripped in them several times. My daughter told me they run a whole size larger than U.S. sizes but I hoped they would fit because Zappos doesn't carry size 35. I also got blisters across the tops of both of my feet from the suede and they didn't feel any softer than other sandals. I did like the support and style. I will have to order them from Birkenstocks to get the right size. Just remember to order one size smaller than you wear and you might even want to order narrows if your foot is regular width or narrower.

Very comfortable but about 1/2 inches shorter than another pair I have. The leather looks like an old worn out tire, so back they go. Sorry.

I am new to Birkenstocks. I have been searching for shoes to help with heel and arch pain that seem to be developing plantar fasciitis. These are not the shoes to help me and had to be returned. Shame, I wanted to like them. First and foremost, they felt comfy to start but my knees began to ache and my legs just felt exhausted and heavy as I wore them more. I sit at a desk and so I'm not standing or walking all day like a teacher nurse etc. I switched to my Nike gel flip flops when I got home for instant relief. My knees ached that night. The next day, I tried them again, same results, but, more knee pain even sooner and I was primarily sitting just wearing these around the house. I also noticed more ankle swelling while wearing them and pain in my arches (and even back). These have hard hard soles, so they do not cushion impact and my home and work have hard floors all over. And the soft footbed is not that soft, okay a little less hard than the rock hard regulars. And the soles are very hard very stiff and have no flex at all. Their website praises hard soles, but, as a trainer, impact is not good. Also, the black straps dyed my feet with black marks even though the straps were loose. I know they say to wear for a few days to "break in the soles" but proper shoes should not cause pain like this and you should forget you have them on not constantly be aware of your feet. I can't cause myself pain to break in a shoes. And a very expensive shoe too. I ordered the Granada and the Florida. On the positive, these are a little more feminine with the cut-out strap design. And the black oiled leather is a nice deep black with thick straps so they look more dressy if you wanted these for work (other colors in this shoe look dirty). The suede footbed has a fuzzy soft feel and I supposed the "soft footbed" is better than a regular model, but, it's still very hard and not all that soft. The run true to size too. A lot of reviews say they run to large and I almost ordered down a size, glad I didn't. I wear a size 9 sneaker that is a Euro 40 and the 9-9.5/40 Birks fit my feet perfectly. If you're into Birks, these seem very nice. But, not right for me.

I have 2 older pairs in this size and model. They fit perfectly. I cannot get my foot into this pair. The shoe bottom fits but he arch strap is too small. I will be returning.

I have other birkenstocks of that same size and width. This pair is so much smaller and I would need to punch holes in straps to wear them

Love the looks of these shoes but they really hurt my instep. Unfortunately they will probably have to back.

When the sandals arrived they were different styles. No problem with return process.

This pair of Birks were approx. 1.5 inches wider than my prev. pair. Unfortunately they're being returned.

How I wanted to love these sandals. Sadly I returned them. They felt terrible on my feet!

The leather on this show is so stiff that it rubs my skin raw. I have tried tightening and loosening without improvement. I would not by this style again

DARN - I REALLY wanted to keep these shoes - so darn cute! The metal attaching the buckle stuck out and was painful to have that on the top of my foot.................sorry!!!!

The shoes that I received were not the ones I ordered. They were size 42, they looked like had been buckled, but not worn. Please exchange for the shoes that I ordered.

I wanted these shoes to work so badly. Years ago I had a pair of Birkenstock clogs and I loved them. This time I wanted to try a sandal. I tried 4 different sizes of this shoe and none of them would work. I am a usually a 8 size shoe. The narrow 38 fit well overall, but I my second and third toes are skinny and a little long and would painfully brush against the raised edge top of the shoe. When I tried a 39, they were entirely too big. The regular width was too big and I still had the same problem with my toe hitting the edge of the shoe when I walked. Where the buckle hit on the top of my foot was uncomfortable as well. I knew I would get so many blisters in this shoe. These are not worth the price when they are supposed to be comfort style shoes. Sadly, they all were returned.

I’ve had these shoes for 7 months and have only worn them a handful of times. The straps rub on the top of my feet and hurt. I have adjusted them several times and just can’t get them to stop hurting. I love my other style of Birk’s (can literally wear them all day) and thought these would be the same. Very bummed I spent so much on shoes I’m going to have to donate :(
