These are a no-go. I love the footbed, but the top is too hard for my foot. I sent them back. I would buy them with a nubuck top. I also have the Arizona and the Clog soft footbed and they are fantastic.

Well, wearing these for a few hours, I have to say that the leather flap under the buckle area digs into the top of my foot. I have a high arch and a boney area on top of my foot. Don't know if I will be able to wear these for long periods of time, and that is why I bought them, comfort. On the positive side, the cushioned insole is wonderful and they are a cute Birkenstock. They seem to run true to size unlike other styles of Birks.

I have been buying this sandal for years but things have changed. The leather is stiffer the sizing changed. Always ordered a 38, too short. 39 too large does not fit right in footbed, becomes painful. Where are they being made and why the cheap leather? Will never purchase again.

These were my first Birkenstock, the fit 8N is good...I am having trouble breaking them in. Not sure I would purchase another pair. It will depend on how they wear going forward, but if you have not tried a Birkenstock, I would recommend you do.

These are really lovely well made shoes and I got them at a good price. Unfortunately I have more than flat feet, I virtually have no arch on my left foot. The arch on this shoe pushes my whole back out of alignment. They were very comfortable fitting as long as I didn't walk, which kind of defeats the purpose. I tried breaking them in but they were breaking me. I am very sad that I can't keep them. There is nothing wrong with them, it's my stupid body.

I was looking for a sandal that had lots of arch support. I do like the way these shoes looked with jeans or shorts. However, the arch support is not enough. These shoes are not worth the money. They are comfortable for wearing for short amounts of time. The shoes just were not what I was hoping for after reading all the excellent reviews. I was looking for a shoe with good arch support and a deep heel cup. These just did not meet my expectations for those reasons.

I bought these because I remember how comfy Birkenstocks were when I was younger. Unfortunately, now that I am a little "older" I find that they don't have the cushion that I have come to enjoy in other shoes. I will keep them and wear them on occasion, but they aren't going to be the go-to slip on that I was looking for.

This is not a bad sandal by any means, but I bought it as part of my continuing quest to find other shoes as comfortable as Merrells. No luck there. I sent back my first pair because they were HUGE (a full size larger than advertised). The arch support is decent, but still less than Merrell's. The "soft footbed" is not hard, but not particularly "soft." The leather straps take a lot of breaking in. I'll keep wearing them, but I wouldn't call them a good value at this price.

These are okay, but don't look as nice on my foot as the Larisa or the Bali styles that I was also trying. Also there was a bit of discomfort in the strap that goes across the top of the fot (not the one that goes across the toes). Since I can handle any sort of discomfort in my shoes, I had to send them back. FTR, the Larisa also had to go back because of the lack of comfort on the top of the foot. The Bali is by far the most comfortable of the three.

I am so disappointed - I got my Birks (Granada Soft Footbed) today and there is hardly any arch! I was really looking forward to getting a shoe with a more padded version of the big Birkenstock arch, since I have metatarsal issues and need some padding. This shoe hardly qualifies for the "moderate" arch support rating I begrudgingly gave it. I didn't even try the 2nd shoe on - back in the box they go.

The paint rubbed off on my foot. Also, the leather was stiff and gave me a blister the first time I wore it. I had no problems with Birkenstocks before. I usually wear 38s in Birkenstocks, and I got a 38 this time, but it felt a full size larger! So much room in the heel and the toe. Weird. The style looks good though, and the soft footbed is comfortable. I just wish the straps were more comfortable and didn't cut into my skin.

I have worn this exact style of Birkenstocks for the last 10 years and have gone through several pairs. I usually wear a pair for a couple of years before I decide to get a new one. After three months, these feel worse than my older pairs do. Both shoes are loose already even on the tightest holes. But the worst part is that the left shoe is clearly defective, and since this was not apparent until I wore the shoes several times, I am told I cannot return them. After a few wears, the small straps on the left shoe are flimsy, fraying, and visually just cut more narrowly than the right shoe. It feels like they are made out of a much lesser quality leather. Due to the two feet feeling mismatched, I cannot continue wearing them even though I just purchased them in June. Even the footbed of the left shoe is more distressed than the right. Clearly this is a defect since I wear both shoes in the same way. Very disappointing. (Left shoe appears on the right in this picture so I could show the straps beside each other more easily. Note how the left shoe straps are so flimsy and fraying that they curl up while the other shoe's straps feel sturdy and lie flat.)

I can't wear them if I intend to walk more than a block. The top that sits on the top of the foot hurts a LOT.

I have 2 older pair of Birkenstock Granada sandals like this. Both have excellent high arch support and are so molded to my foot that I still wear them around the house as slippers. This pair I just ordered were nothing like my older sandals. The footbed felt flat and there was no arch support at all. Something seems to have changed with the Birkenstock footbed. Now my only choice for the arch support I used to rely on them for is their arch inserts in other shoes.

I wear a 7.5 or an 8 and have a medium-to-narrow foot with high arches. This shoe was long enough, but a little wide, even with the adjustable buckles. The uppers are scratchy and hard and were chafing my feet just trying them on in the house. I don't know why they call it a soft footbed as they are stiff and inflexible. They do offer good arch support, and the footbed itself was comfortable. Be careful when you walk in them. The soles are incredibly slick! I took one step from the carpet to the tile and had to catch myself. I would have overlooked the style if they had been comfortable, but I would not have worn them out.

This is my 4th pair of this exact shoe. I ordered a fresh pair for spring and I'm extremely disappointed that Birkenstock has changed the design of this sandal! It is narrower than it used to be, does not fit my heel! The straps are positioned differently and less comfortable for me. What a bummer. This was my go-to comfort sandal for the past several seasons.

so disappointed... All my Birks are so comfortable - and the footbed of these was super comfy - but the straps were so uncomfortable. Hit my foot in a terrible lace - literally painful to walk around in, and not something that would go away once the leather softened. Wanted SO badly to keep these shoes - the narrow fit was perfect for my narrow foot - adorable style, but just too uncomfortable.

I bought these shoes because I have always done well with Birks. Well...I guess they decided to change things up. In my opinion, they blew it. These shoes are the same solid construction and good look we expect from Birks but they are too narrow and long and do not have the same support...back they go. Why can't a company just keep making the tried and true while introducing new lines??????

First thing I noticed was that the sandals were visibly used aka toe stained. Second, I ordered regular width and yet they were so narrow I could barely get my foot in it even on the last hole. I double checked and they were marked as regular so it was either a defective pair or this style is purposely made more narrow. Back they went. I like the look of this style but I don't want to reorder and get the same result. I just ordered Arizonas instead.

Ouch! The straps on these hit at a really painful point on my foot. I couldn't last more than a few outings in these. I've since tried other Birkenstocks like the Mayari and Gizeh and loved them. It's also possible that it's only an issue with the oiled leather material, as my other sandals are Birko-Flor or EVA material. No matter, I won't be trying these again in any material as I have such bad memories.

Left my feet black and really hurt the tops of my feet. Hopefully both issues will go away. Not like the usual Birks that don’t ever require a break in period.
