I have been a Birkenstock fan for decades. My favorite style is the Florida, but it is currently not available in narrow in leather, so I opted for the Granada. It is comfortable and somewhat adjustable. The strap adjustments will likely be limited by the increasing width of the strap. Nonetheless I expect to enjoy wearing these comfortable, attractive sandals until a narrow Florida style is available in the materials I prefer. Zappos service was courteous and efficient throughout the purchase and exchange process while I sorted out the possibility of a medium Florida or a narrow Granada. I swam in the medium, so the narrow was essential.

Great for "triangle feet." (I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel.) A friend who also swears by this style. It is a little lighter and cuter looking than some of the standard Birkenstocks. This newer version has the soft footbed and the straps are a little thinner than my old nubuck Granadas. I did have to order twice to get a coloration that matched the photo. The first pair I ordered was lighter and grayer --- however, you might prefer that! I hope they will be as comfy as my old ones.

More support of the forefoot than the Florida, but less than the Arizona/Milano. I'm returning these in favor of the Arizona.

Love the soft footbed. So much better than the standard. However, the upper leather is really rough. I have owned 3 pairs of Birks now, and all are like this. Wish all were available in suede or softer leather.

These shoes run very large, especially in the width. The narrow size worked much better as opposed to going down a size. Leather is great, comfortable shoes, take a while to break in. They do slip off easier than flip flops or ones that have an ankle strap. Overall very nice and feminine.

I am used to the hard bed shoes but bought the soft bed to try them out. The shoes is very comfortable and so easy to wear. It took a day or two to brake them in, the top leather pieces were a little tight, even on the loosest setting. However, after wearing them for a bit and putting some water on it they stretched out.

My last Birks lasted for nearly 20 years. Treated myself to these for my birthday and I am so glad I did. The leather on top is slightly stiff but that is cause they are brand new. I have only worn them a couple of days and they are well more broken in than the first day I wore them. I adore them and have gotten several compliments already! Birks forever.

I'm on the fence on these shoes. Yes they're comfortable and I actually like the look of them more then I expected however with no give in the footbed I find them "hard" even with what they call a soft footbed. Would I purchase them again....I don't think so.

I'm still not 100% sold on these. I read other reviews where people said that they were able to go down a full size. I did not find this to be the case, however, I did find that the narrow width in my regular size seemed to work. I didn't try the regular width in my normal size because the narrow already seemed somewhat clunky looking and was pretty comfortable. As for how they feel - they are very supportive. I was able to wear them out for a short afternoon of running errands and didn't notice any problems with them, but I don't think I am ready to walk around all day in them. These are definitely shoes that need some breaking in to be truly comfortable. The leather isn't particularly soft, but it didn't rub. The main thing I don't care for about them is how the shape of the toe area compares to my actual toe shape. I have bunions and my big toes point in some. The sandals obviously are totally straight in this area, not even a slight curve, so I think they look a little weird. But, I'm confident that once they are broken in, they will serve the purpose of being long-lasting, comfortable, casual summer sandals. I just wish that they were a little cuter on my feet.

Love these! They're definitely not the cutest shoes I own, but I really like that the straps are a little more feminine than the classic Arizona, and the soft footbed is great! They require no breaking in, unlike the Birks with the regular footbed, and they work really well as a casual sandal. I purchased these in iron, and I'm really happy with the color. I wear a 7.5-8, and the 38 was perfect for me.

The soft foot bed is not soft enough for me. I was looking for more comfort for my plantar fasciitis. I wear a 6WW and have a high instep and these fit well in both areas. This style is much less clunky than the traditional thick toe-strap style.

I have several pairs of Birks, and these are not as comfortable as the three-strap ones I love. They are too wide for my narrow feet, but work on the last holes. Are a bit dressier, and they'll be better once they get broken in.

I have worn high-arch Birkenstocks for years, because I have problem feet. Unfortunately, they have very few "high-arch" shoes, and I was wanting something with a little more style. I decided to try these shoes for that reason. The fit was great, and there was decent arch support (although not as much as with the high-arch shoes I have had). However, those little cutouts in the leather hit smack-dab on my bunion. I would have certainly kept them except for that.

This shoe has great arch support and helps to stabilize the foot but leather doesn't give like the suede of the Arizona which is better for feet that swell. My feet LOVE Birkenstock.

This is a beautiful sandal and the soft footbed is wonderful. My only complaint is the leather strap is hard and rubs my left foot. I have had to wrap some soft cloth around it. It looks strange but is comfortable and I only wear these at home.

I was reluctant to even try these out because I have a bias against those big clunky Birkenstocks. This is probably the most refined style that they offer. The soft foot bed is very comfortable. It takes a little bit of adjustment to get used to the shoe itself because of the formed footbed. But I like them a lot. I bought the narrow and it is still plenty wide. As I wore the shoes the first couple of weeks they loosened up and I gradually made the straps tighter. Now they are perfect.

Chose this style because it didn't have a strap around the ankle (too short with my high instep). I immediately liked the style and wore them immediately. Have had issues since then but am hoping they clear up. The metal part of the buckles, underneath the straps, irritated the top of my foot and made a red mark. Since then I have loosened the top strap to the last notch and it is not rubbing as much. Also, the soft footbed doesn't really feel soft (in comparison to my Mephisto Helen). My foot does fit the footbed well; I went down a size to 38 and the fit is perfect. While comfort has been less than stellar so far, I have made a commitment to make these work and am hoping they soften up, including the strap with the metal fastener.

These sandals are really fashionable, but I have been trying to break them in for several weeks to no avail. Every time I wear them, I get blisters on the tops of my feet; the first time, the blisters were so bad that they scabbed over and scarred (did someone say stigmata??). Granted, I do have high arches, so that could be the issue. Overall, I love how these sandals look, but they are not as comfortable as I was promised.

Loved these but upper straps are just too stiff. Narrow fits a regular medium-width foot. The soft footbed is so comfy! I loved this shoe in the tan color on a tanned foot but I can't sacrifice the skin on the top of my foot while these break in! Torture!

My first pair of "Berkies"! I find the soft footbed very comfortable and required no breaking-in. I ordered size 41 for my 10 1/2 size foot which is the right size, but 2 of my toes reach the stitching on the edge of the footbed - not a problem when wearing socks, slight rubbing when barefoot. The upper buckle on the same side (left) felt a bit uncomfortable but adjusting the buckles fixed that quickly and the shoes accommodate a bunion well. Love the strappy styling, and the quality is excellent. Looking forward to a long relationship with these!

I bought this sandal because a couple of women at work recommended them for heel & foot problems, and aching feet. I am on my feet working as a clerk and I have a bone out of joint following an old injury. I wanted to see if the Birkenstock would solve my problem. I purchased this shoe because the straps look like they would allow the adjustment I need to give me more room on my left instep. When I received them, the right foot felt perfect right away, but the left foot (the one with the misplaced bone) has continued to be a problem. In fact it feels worse in the Birks than in my other shoes. I knew there was a break in period, and I have tried to wear them a couple of hours here and there and have actually been able to wear them the full 8 hours at work a couple of times. However, my left foot still bothers me. I don't have heel pain when I wear them, so that is a plus. But the arch pain has not gone away completely -- even though it has improved. I was hoping the soft footbed would make breaking in easier, but I think I may have to find a different shoe. I loved the look of this shoe and the adjustments on the strap were great -- but the comfort level was not there for me!

Haven't had a pair of Birkenstock's in many years. First time getting soft footbed. It's the best. Love it. Unfortunately, I am sending back to get a size bigger. Strange, the heel cup is a bit narrow. And I by no means have wide feet. Shoe is perfect otherwise. Seems I read a review here or somewhere else about the same issue with heel cup. The iron is a great neutral color.

I believe my Mephisto Helen has more support. I was looking for more softness in the soft bed, but I found they are not as compared to the Mephisto. I have a a bunion on one foot and only wear these in the house on a wood floor. I am a 7.5 and occasionally an 8 with a medium width. I found I have to order down with Birkenstocks to a 37 but my toes are shorter than normal.

My podiatrist mentioned Birks after seeing her for Plantar Fasciitis. They have great arch support and my feet feel much better after a day in them. Go slowly when breaking them in. I did a whole day at first and the blisters were awful! (Not a terrible shoe, I just blister easily.)

Love the look and style of these shoes. More feminine that the original ones. Foot bed is super comfy but I do have one complaint regarding the straps, the upper strap has bruised the top of my foot from walking in them (maybe I need to adjust the strap but I had them loose and tight and still the same pain), or maybe I just need to give them some time to break in.
