Beautifully made Birkenstocks. Love the birkenstock foot bed. However, the tobacco brown had a rich look in the photo, but in person is a truly ugly flat brown - not light, not dark. Just really not pretty. My feet are swollen after a long busy day and the cut of these is a little unflattering.

I have other Birkenstocks and I have to say these are the most uncomfortable as far as the straps are concerned. I am still in the break in process and hoping it will be worth it in a couple of weeks or so. The straps on the top are stiff and they cut in where the buckles are on the top of my feet. I know the oiled leather gets softer after a while, plus there are some tricks I learned from local Birkenstock store to use sandpaper on the leather edges where they rub. What I like about this style is that they are very feminine. Other styles are very cloggy and look more unisex or masculine. I also love the soft footbed which makes them easy to walk in for miles! I got the Tobacco color, which is very beautiful. I have a wide foot and the regular width is almost too narrow for me (they are much more narrow than Arizona and Boston styles). Overall, I love these shoes but hopefully after the break in process they are better. Right now I have a blister on the top of my foot so I am having to pause the process....but hopefully the sand paper helped for my next go!

Am returning. For some reason the left sandal irritated the side of my foot. Suspect the leather stiff but I’m diabetic and irritations aren’t worth it. I reorder in the non leather and they are comfortable.

I think once these are broken in, they will feel great but right now where the 2 straps overlap/meet at the top of my foot are uncomfortable and made sore spots. I normally wear a 7.5 and per the guide went with a 7 and the fit is just right. I consider my foot to be regular width and the width is fine in this shoe. I went with the Tobacco Oiled Leather which is a distressed medium color and although I've only worn them about 3 times, can tell that the leather already show scratches.

The leather straps were scratchy on the top of my foot.

The leather is much more stiff than the BirkiFlor that was on the other pair I ordered. The edge of the strap by my third and fourth toes hit my toes and hurt. I like how this sandal looks, but found it was not as supportive as the "Florida" style.

Nice sandal but the leather was stiff and rubbed my foot at the foot bed. Being diabetic I didn’t want to take a chance on, possibly, rubbing my foot raw in that one place. Am keeping another pair in a different style.

This sandal is super adorable and really comfortable to wear all day! Going to buy another pair for my daughter!!

I have problem feet and have been wearing Birkenstocks for years, mainly the Arizona style. I haven't purchased a new pair in a couple of years so thought I'd try this style as an alternative to the Arizona. This is going to be the first time I will have to return a pair of Birkenstocks. First of all, my foot is on the narrow side of medium so I always wear the "narrow" footbed. While the footbed fit just fine, the straps themselves and the strap placement on this sandals is terrible. The top strap is too far down which exposes more of your toes and makes your toes look unnaturally long. The bottom strap is placed too far up so that the sandal doesn't feel as secure on your feet as an Arizona. Also, what is strange is normally I have to buckle the straps on the last or next to last hole since my foot tends to be narrower. I could barely buckle the top strap on the first hole with this sandal. It's like the top strap isn't long enough. Also, the leather is very stiff and cuts into your skin. My daughter wears the same size as me so I thought I might give these to her if she wanted them. Interestingly enough, she didn't want them either because of the exact same issues I was having. I guess I'll have to go back to Arizonas.

The first few days these shoes hurt the arches of my feet but now they don’t. I’m afraid these are going to scratch easily. Overall they are comfortable and match everything. Plus you can adjust the straps to meet your width. I usually wear a 7 and had to get the 7-7.5 and they do feel a little big on the heal.

Just a little loose at second buckle over arch, a little tight at next buckle cinch, but know leather will give over time to make feel perfect.

Super cute and a bit more refined and feminen than the Arizona. Looks great on my foot. This is the first time I have worn the soft footbed. I do not care for it as much as the standard footbed. The arch support and toe ridges are less defined in the soft footbed. They are still very comfy, but I will not buy the soft bed again. The color is a great basic brown.

This was my 3rd pair in this style. The black dye does rub off on your feet for a long time but eventually it goes away. I have walked AND hiked rugged terrain in these and they held up very well. However, I did ruin them from leaving them in the hot sun at the beach :-(. They can tolerate some heat but upper 80's to 90's ruined this pair. I give the black color only an overall score of 4 because until the dye wore off the inside, my feet looked dirty when I wore.

First birkis for me. I wore them constantly for a year. I sent them to be resoled and learned that they were basically beyond repair. I had already spent the $60 to have them resoled, so they did the best they could, but the footbed is now cracking. The stories about Birkenstocks lasting 20+ years don't apply to this shoe, but these are comfy, supportive sandals that aren't too ugly. I'm buying a replacement.

I love my Birks!!! The soft foot bed is a must!

I will return these sandals because they are too big even though I wear a Women's size 5.5. They do not stay securely in place. Too bad as I love the style.

These are well made and the footbed is definitely softer than the usual style. However, I have to return them because they just don't fit. The arch support is in the wrong place for my feet which are thin due to weight loss from cancer surgery and my feet slide around even when the straps are at their tightest. Thanks for the great service; I tell my friends about you all the time.

Mostly comfortable and cuter style than most shoes in this brand...just not tight enough for my foot to walk in.

Cute shoe but the leather is so much less flexible than my current grandas that it rubs painfully.

The soft footbed is nice but still requires some break-in, in my opinion. I've been wearing them around the house with socks to break them in and allow the leather to bleed. They are currently dying my socks black and I hope that, that ends before summer. The style is cuter than traditional Birks! I'm glad I bought narrow because the regular was too loose and causing my feet to hurt from trying to hold on to them.

I don't find Birkenstocks stylish, thus the 2 star style rating, but these ARE a bit cuter than some Birks. I don't have narrow feet, but these came in narrow width, so I tried them and they fit perfectly and don't seem as clunky or duck footed as my other Birks. I like the aged leather look, think it looks better in person than in the pics.

Wonderful fit and feel right out of the box. True to size. Did have to put another hole in straps but easy to do.

I am wearing these in Europe right now for vacation. They are very supportive and comfortable, but not nearly as wonderful as I had hoped. I'm glad I wore them before the trip, because they rubbed several places raw on my feet, and it took me two good weeks to break them in.

I bought this pair because I needed something a bit dressier for work and they aren't making the Pisa's in leather any more. I have a high arch and there weren't enough holes punched to loosen the straps far enough so I had to get more holes punched at a repair store. Also, there is a bit more bare skin showing than I expected from the pictures. I like the sandals, but would like them more if my feet a bit more tanned and not winter white.
