Great looking shoe, but the EE (wide) that we bought is not really wide...more like the normal width or even a little narrower! We had to send them back, even though the style was great.

First time buying NB, I got the ML574 elite edition, good looking shoes with some air to 80's high school fashion. Be aware this model runs small. I do recommend get a bigger size, I wear 10 and it was small, go with 10.5. Any way, shoes are amazing and Zappos customer service as always excellent. (Five stars.)

These shoes (men's 9.5 wide) were so small and tight that I could barely wedge my foot into them. As I sit and type this, I am wearing a men's 9.5 slip on suede shoe in regular width that I bought of the shelf for less than $20 at WalMart, and they fit fine. I normally wear a wide width, and as a female, assumed a men's wide in a well known brand with great reviews and for a higher price than I am used to paying would actually go on my feet! Very disappointing!

I've had several pairs of the New Balance classics and have never had a problem with the fit until now. I ordered a 14D and it is much narrower than a usual D.

I am so upset that these don't come in my men's size or in women's sizes. I wear a 7.5 women's and 6 in men's. I absolutely love retro style sneakers and this is one of the best looking styles I have seen in a long time. Alas, they made all the women's sizes in hideous colors only like pastels and neons. Ugh. So unfair. At least include smaller men's sizes so ladies with some taste can enjoy the classy colors, too! Every other men's retro sneaker I've ever liked came in smaller sizes than 6.5. What's up, New Balance?! Not cool, man. That said, I still tried on the men's 6.5 to see if I could make it work. I compared it to the fit of the least ugly women's color in my 7.5 and the women's size fit better, so I have to return the beautiful Blue/White men's shoes. Too bad for me and NB...I would have bought these in several of the men's colors.

I have been wearing New Balance for years now, this model in fact. But for some reason these shoes did not fit well. It felt like my feet were being sqeezed rather than supported, especially towards the front of the shoes. I returned this pair (size 11) and will shop for another pair on Zappos, but I will stick with the M574 rather than the ML574. I guess the L stands for "lame." Oh well. Zappos is still cool.

Ridiculously narrow, nowhere close to a typical 4E. Completely unwearable if you have wide feet, which is a shame because they look very nice in person.

The white leather version has an actual metal "N" on the outside of either shoe. It's quite gaudy and good luck with the TSA at the airport.

These are the least comfortable new balances I've ever worn. They breathe horribly, the tread feels like it has worn unevenly and the tongue is uncomfortable on my feet when the shoes are tightened enough to not fall off.

I was uncomfortable all day on these shoes. They look great but I couldn't tolerate standing them in them for longer than 30 minutes.

The shoes were perfect but only a few months after wearing these the toe box caved in and stitching unraveled. Zappos won't do an exchange due to the amount of exchanges I've had to do with defective shoes sent to me. I wish I could send photos to prove these assholes.

Disappointed in the quality, or lack thereof. You could see glue all around the base where they connected the sole of the shoe to the upper. I expect more from NB. For the price? Meh. I'd have lived with it. For a 2E width, they were awfully narrow. I have another pair of NB that I compared it against and there was quite a difference. Pretty let down. Glad Zappos has their return policy.

Wide? Size 10.5? I don't think so. They feel like medium and not anything near a wide width. They also seem to run small. I normally wear a 10 or 10.5 at most. I ordered a 10.5 and my toes were touching the very end which was surprising. I might have to try 11 which will be a first for me.

I've purchased New Balance shoes before and what I've loved about them is how they fit my wide feet. This shoe seems to be tighter than other NB shoes. I love the look and style, but my feet are uncomfortable in these shoes.

This may be the first zappos review I've ever written. Been intending to write this for a while. Bought these sneakers a few months ago. I've always liked new balance especially the comfort and fit. For some reason, this pair seemed more narrow and tight. I thought this was just me and decided to not return them. I've kept wearing them every so often always thinking they'd magically become more comfortable. No luck. They look nice but just feel restrictively tight. I should've returned these right away.

As a long-time New Balance fan I was so disappointed by these shoes. I ordered my usual size (12) and they are almost an entire size small. The quality of these shoes is decidedly lower than previous New Balance shoes I've owned.

The shoe design, fit and comfort are very good--what you would expect from a New Balance athletic shoe. However, the color is nothing like what is pictured! They are not teal- just dark green! I even exchanged them thinking I received the wrong color! Nope- still an unattractive green!

For some shoes, average width is fine for me when I order men's shoes, but wide shoes are actually a much more comfortable fit. I had heard that New Balance shoes tend to be generous in width on their own but even so, I ordered the wide size of this shoe. I selected "Felt narrower than marked" - but that is an understatement. The shoe felt SIGNIFICANTLY narrower than marked. So much so that I checked multiple times to make sure I did get a wide. I also had a friend who wears a half size smaller shoe but does not require a wide shoe and they also said that it was uncomfortably narrow. Very disappointed and now hesitant to order any New Balance shoes!

Love these shoes and have tried women's, men's size 10 and 10.5 and all seem to be the same size and way to short for my toes. Rather than try size 11 men's will switch to Brooks.

I ordered the wide selection and it was pretty darn narrow. I'm hoping they stretch a bit, but pretty painful first 3 days. Will not order again. I should have stuck with my New Balance M574SKW - Wide. If you have wide feet, don't order!

These shoes seemed comfortable at first but after wearing for an hour the support through the middle of the upper is killing me. I like my old New Balance shoes but they were discontinued.

The shoe is not up to the usual New Balance quality. The glued on N logo is peeking off in the box. and the sole seems stiff. I didn't bother to try them on.

The shoes are nice to look at but painful to wear. The sole barely covered half my foot so my arches hung off the shoe. I ordered a 14 2E so if you're looking for a wide width shoe these are not them!! If they had fit right I do believe they would have been comfortable. Needless to say very disappointed in New Balance with this one!

Not happy with the shoes. I ordered the same size and width as my current shoe, but the new ones are narrower and my feet hurts. Also, the sole is too rigid, and don't feel comfortable compared to my previous NB shoes
