I originally purchased a pair of the Skechers ShapeUps, but the heel was too thick and made my pants look too short. I also didn't like the rocking motion I had when I walked. I tried the Earth Exer-Walk because the bottom looks like a normal athletic shoe and I didn't have to worry about my short-pants phobia. They take a little getting used to because your heel sits lower than the rest of your foot, but after a trip to the mall I was fine with them. My husband thinks they look funny because the toe of the shoe curves up from the floor, but I guess this is necessary for them to work your muscles properly. Although they're not particularly attractive, I'm not embarrassed to wear them (I've seen worse). They also seem to run true to size and are pretty comfortable. After I've worn them a long time, I have noticed that the back of the heel rubs on my right foot because they come up a little higher in the back than I'm used to. I'm sure I'll get used to this after I've worn them more. I can definitely feel a pull in my hamstrings when I wear them, and they seem to work you harder than a regular pair of athletic shoes. I don't think they're the only reason for my losing five pounds in the last couple of weeks, but I'm sure they've helped.

They sort of look like boats on my feet, but I could immediately feel the backs of my legs working hard when I went for a long walk. I wear a 7.5 in regular shoes, but an 8 in workout shoes. These were an 8 and felt perfect.

I loved the idea and have worn them on my walks since I got them . My first walk I got 3 blisters on the front of my toes and it continued for the next time. My front big toe has a callus now which I don't like but I will continue to wear these with bandaids! See if they work.....

These shoes are comfortable out of the box. They take a little getting used to with the negative heel, but not long. There is a great deal of room in the toe box that make the shoes look a little clunkier than my other walking shoes, but also makes them so comfortable and I don't wear them for fashion. Comfortable walking shoe.

Great price, adequate shoe. Arch support less than I needed.

These shoes are very lightweight and quite comfortable. I decided to try them not for the claimed exercise benefits (although if true, it is another plus), but because I suffer from Morton's Neuroma. I needed a shoe that would take the pressure off of the front of my feet. This shoe does it with it's negative heel technology and I have so far found great comfort. My feet tend to get quite warm in them, but I found using a thinner sock has helped. These shoes naturally have good arch support because the heel is lower than the toes (It took a few wearings to get used to that). Overall, a good supportive shoe for my needs and for the money.

These shoes are not stylish at all. I hated them at first and planned to return. The shoes are cut to high for my ankle. hurt my achillis tendon and the arch was not in right spot. Replaced the insoles and now after 2 week break in period I like them. I Do feel the extra work out in buns and thighs, this was the main reason I bought them. Comfort was not there compared to other Earth's I have worn. And they are just ugly, not cute ugly, band shoe ugly. ... But my butt is getting a workout.

I have open toe Earth Shoes that I love. I have been looking for a comfortable sneaker so I thought I'd try these. The length and width are fine but the toe box while roomy seemed too wide. This caused it to crinkle up when walking.

This is a very comfortable shoe. My only problem is that at my advanced age (73) the earth shoe is a little disorienting. I've been using them gradually to get used to the lower heel.

This shoe is great for walking. The design moves with your foot perfectly. However, if you have to stand still for any length of time, it is murder. The 3.7 degree incline puts all the pressure on your heels.

These shoes were comfortable as far as support goes, but are horribly made, and they were too long in toe area, crinkles up badly, I was constantly tripping over the toe area...the quality of this shoe is horrible. Thank goodness Zappos allows returns! Improve the quality of these and they would be great.

It may say more about my posture than about the quality of these shoes, but I wore them for a few hours and my back was wrecked for weeks. Felt good on my feet but muscle groups were used and abused in unholy ways.

This was a disappointment. I’ve worn Earth shoes before and expected these to be as advertised. However, they were not a light pair of shoes, just normal weight. BUT these were extremely uncomfortable. I used them on the treadmill walking about 3.6 miles per hour for 1 hour and my feet were killing me afterwards. They seemed to fit, but hit my ankles. Since I’d already walked in these shoes, I’m giving them away as I can’t wait to find the break-in time on these. I would not buy Earth sneakers again.

Felt roughly a full size shorter than other Kalso Earth Shoes I have tried. Toe was jammed against the front, so didn't even have them on long enough to rate any other features. And since they only come up to a 12, that means these are going back with no hope for exchange.

The right shoe was extremely painful. The hard plastic support inside dug into my heel. I was desperate enough to cut the shoe open and cut down the plastic, but I never made it work. I went back to the Laser by Earth shoe which feels wonderful. Zappos service was amazing.

I am susceptible to shin-splints and when I wear these it doesn't happen! The support is great and the negative heel takes some of the pressure off my poor arthritic knees. I would normally take a Wide but I took a chance and the B is perfect. The price is right too!

Love the way this shoe fits all the curves of my foot and great arch support. Has helped with my plantar fasciitis also. It's more snug in the heel than most athletic shoes, but that feels good for my heel.

I own a dog walking business, and I walk about 5 miles a day or more. From being on my feet so much, I developed plantar fasciitis. I ordered these shoes after buying a cheap pair of New Balance at the shoe store. I wore these shoes from day one with no pain at all. I love them. Plus they are burning more calories with out looking like I'm wearing boats on my feet.

I love this walking shoe. It has a nice wide toebox for those with bunions. Also great arch support! Very comfortable to take my dogs for a walk in.

Nice shoe for someone with old, wide feet with bunions! Am on my feet for an 8 hour shift and these have nice arch support as well as good cushioning.

My first pair of these shoes came from the mall. Due to knee and foot problems it is usually difficult for me to find shoes so I set aside hours for shoe shopping. I put these on and it was if they were made for me. My arches were supported and withing a couple of minutes of walking around in them in the store, my knee pain lessened. The store only had them in the desert butter color (I have to wear mostly white shoes at work), but I bought them anyway. As soon as I got home I ordered a pair in white and blue from Zappos. When my husband and I go out for the day, I don't have to sit on a bench or in the car with aching knees after only an hour or so. Now I can walk for hours and enjoy our day out.

These are extremely comfortable. I love the high arch, typical of Earth brand. The negative heel is great for posture and very comfortable. This feels more sturdy than others I've tried in the past. I have very wide toes and a narrow-ish heel. The toe box on this is a little narrower than other Earth shoes but stretched without getting loose on the heel.

I love these shoes. I have been wearing various types of Earth shoes for a few years, but the Exer-Walks are my favorites.
