I LOVE these boots!! I never write reviews but I know how valuable they are when ordering shoes online; I always read reviews related to shoes/fit. I usually wear an 8 1/2 but after reading the reviews on these boots, I ordered an 8. They fit perfectly!! I did order the Wellie socks as well and can't imagine wearing them without the socks. Keep my feet warm and dry in this unusual weather year!!

I'd never given any thought to Hunter until my granddaughter added these boots to her Christmas list. I was totally impressed with the quality of these boots. They're exceptionally well-made - a nice heavy boot with a good lining. And according to my granddaughter, they fit well too. She wears them with the boot liners (cuff folds over the top of the boot) and they look great. The best surprise was the overnight delivery from Zappos! I'm very happy with this purchase.

bought these for my wife for Christmas. She absolutely loved them! The size was as other have said...runs a little larger than normal. This worked out perfectly since my wife usually wears between a 9 and 9.5. I bought these in a 9 and got her the "liner socks" which she also loves. Great styling and she loves that these have a lower heel than some other similar styled Wellies. As always...Zappos customer service sets the bar for all others!

Great color and style. I'm short so the boot height is flattering versus leg-swallowing. It's reasonably roomy for the thick-calved,fairly unfitted except for the narrow dorsal part of the foot bed which serves to anchor your foot in the boot. It was a tight squeeze to get into the boot, but roomy for every other part of the foot. Its remarkably comfortable for walking and the fire engine red color is VERY bright.

Best fitting rainboots! My daughter's second pair. She loves the shorter style, and finds the high a little too snug in the calves.

I bought these as an alternative to my knee-high yellow Hunter wellies, which are classic and great for serious rain, but can be a little clunky. These shorter wellies are perfect for driving or walking around the city. The gloss makes them look like patent leather - very stylish.

Wow! Went to Nordstrom (love them); did not have this real Red color. I wear an 8 1/2 - 9 with flats, I ordered an 8. Perfect fit. Thank you for your speedy delivery - ordered Saturday reg s/h, arrived my office on Tuesday! Amazing. Love them!

They are so cute! Not as comfortable as they should be. A little pricey but they are my second pair I love them!

Love these boots! The fit like a glove. I wear a 9.5 and order a 9 in them and they are perfect. I also ordered the socks (boot liners) that go with them, I don't recommend them. The seems are quite big and hurt my toes and every time I would pull my foot out the sock would com with it. Quite inconvenient!

Great boot - never owned it before, but I heard great things so I ordered them for school. Read that they ran small so since I am a half size, and they don't make this boot in half sizes I ordered a full size larger. They are way too big in length and width. Very nice gloss, and great height on my calf. I am rather short, 5' 3", and I ordered the shorter boot because I felt the knee length one would be too much for me and swallow me whole so to speak. My last words on this product: great quality, runs very large, order a half size to full size smaller than usual.

Great quality and comfortable, but I need to return them because the ankle is so narrow that I can't remove them from my feet.

Very overpriced for what it is. I normally wear size 7 1/2 but ordered a7 in these and they were still a tad big even with heavy socks. I have a dog that I walk in all sorts of weather and these will serve me well on rainy days. Plan on having them forever due to the price. They better last!

Felt a little too big and weren’t that comfortable

I ordered the red color and was a bit disappointed when they arrived. The color is a lot brighter in the photos, but I still decided to keep. I wore them around the house for a few hours and they are very comfortable but it's very different when you walk in the rain, of course! I'll see how they feel when I wear them in the rain. Hopefully as comfortable. I usually order a 7.5 for boots but these don't have a middle size. If you are a mid size and want to wear thick socks, order one size up.

These boots are beautiful, but the sizing doesn't seem to work on my feet. They would be PERFECT if they were available on half sizes. I am a true size 8 and purchased an 8 in these and they were huge, even with the fleece Hunter socks. I sold the size 8s to my aunt and then ordered a size 7, but now they are too small and my toes hit the front of the boots even with a thin sock. My feet also hurt just from wearing them around the house to see how they feel. I may have to end up returning these and giving the Ugg Sienna boots a try to see if they work better.

Only used once but no leaks in deep marsh landscape

I ordered size 11 (up from usual) and this fit well. For comfort and fit, I added insoles and boot socks and with these additions, I feel I have mitigated the potential rubbing from the rubber boot, and also made the boot more comfortable for walking my dog. Overall, I am happy with these, but I do feel they need the added insole and sock for comfort

They aren’t made the same. I still adore them, though. The military red is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you, Zappos!

Love the color and look of these short boots. They are super cute and fun. If you have wide calves, watch out!! Very snug.

I loved these boots and wanted so bad to keep them but they were just too big. I ordered three pairs—my regular size (way too big), a full size down (toe fit but heels slipped) and a pair in the slate color which was a dull gray and didn’t care for them. The shiny black was much more attractive. Sadly, they all went back (thanks Zappos for free returns!) I ended up with Uggs that fit perfectly and were half the price too!

These boots are gorgeous and feel very nice and comfortable. Unfortunately, they run rather large and my feet felt as though they were sliding around inside the boot. I always wear a size 8 but this was too risky for rainy weather so I had to return and order a 7.

I'm glad I gave Hunter boots another chance! A few years ago, I had a pair of tall Hunter boots. They were a little snug on my calves and hit me just below my knees. (I'm 5'2".) They were so cute but were not for me. I decided to try the short wellies, and I'm so glad I did! I'm also glad that I got a pair of Hunter socks to go with them. I think the boots run slightly large, so with the socks, they aren't too loose on me, plus they're warmer. (I did find them a little too warm after a few hours in them. These boots are not breathable.) I also find these short boots much easier to slip on and off compared with the tall ones. Overall, I love my boots and now look forward to rainy days!

These look great but are very heavy and difficult to walk around in.

I was so excited to get these, and I have to admit I’m disappointed. The size is just bizarre. They are my first rain boots so maybe this is just how they fit? They are big and clunky. I’m an 11, so I got the 11. There is more room in the toe, the shafts are really big, and walking in them feels like I’m in my Dad’s too-big shoes! Hopefully that’s not what I look like. I’m still practicing. Ultimately I’m going to keep them because I think sizing down one whole size will be too snug across the top of my foot. I made the quick decision to keep them when I found out it was going to pour today! Also they are really heavy! (6 pounds according to UPS). They are really cute and I like the style, I’m just going to have to get used to them I guess.

Sadly for skinny calves only :( Love these boots - they are pretty comfortable, adorable, love the bright blue color. I’m a solid 7.5 and the 7 fit well in terms of foot bed. Unfortunately the shaft of the boot is just too narrow and squeezed uncomfortably on my calf. I tried a larger size to see if that helped but no go - had to return both.
