Love these, they are perfect for rainy days and mucking around in the mud. They fit pretty true to size. I wear a five and a half, bought size six so I could wear thick socks and it is perfect. I'm also short, the tall boots didn't work. These are about mid calf. They wash up quick and easy too.

Love the boot, I wear a size 7.5 and the 7 fits perfect even with a thick sock. I am returning the boot only because the Brick red is an orange red and I want a more candy apple red, I am going to order the pill box red to see if it is a better color, as soon as it is back in stock.

Bought these for my daughter who needed a pair of rain boots for college. She loves them. Ordered a 7... she normally wears 7 or 7 1/2. Fit perfect.

Rain boots so comfortable I could wear them every day! Not just rubbery, feel like a well-fitting shoe. Do NOT "go up a size". I wear a 7 or 7.5 and these 7's are perfect.

Absolutely LOVE my new Hunter rain boots. The color is amazing. I wanted to pick a color that would go great with earth tones as well as black & white tones and these are perfect! They fit great! I'm usually a 6.5 and purchased the size 6. There's still room for thicker socks in the winter. I find myself wishing for rainy days so I can wear my boots!

I purchased the traditional height at first but realized they hit too close to my knee and rubbed terribly. I'm 5'2 so I have considerably short shins and this shorter height has been amazing!

I love how easy it was to order and how easy it was to return a second pair that did not work for me!

Love this boot! If you're short, like me (5'3''), this is the right heighth. Also, great for wearing in the dog park on cool days & walking on the beach. I hate to get sand in my shoes!

Perfect rain boots. I wore these on a trip to London where it rained every day. They are very comfortable and still look brand new after all of that wear. Didn't rub any blisters after lots of walking. I am usually a 10/40 and the 10 fit perfectly, with room for thick wool socks.

Awesome boots! Classy yet fun. But the best part is that they keep your feet dry. I'm 5' 1" so the Hunter Original Short was perfect for me. As always, Zappos is the best place to purchase as they are second to none with their customer service. This boot runs a bit big but DO NOT size down if you intend on wearing thick socks or the Hunter liner. I bought the liner and it really snugs up the boot.

Brick Red = Orange. It is very hard to tell the color online. I will be returning these for the bright red color.

I love these boots. They are comfortable. I did purchase the liners in black that turn down over the top.

I adore these boots! I've always been somewhere in the 7 1/2 - 8 range depending on the shoe or boot and I went with the 7 1/2 on these. They're still a bit roomy but depending on your climate, you may need this room for thick socks. With these slick boots, you definitely don't mind those rainy days anymore!

These are perfect rain boots without being the traditional knee-high welly style. I am 5'9" and they hit at the low calf. While I do tend to wear wide calf riding boots otherwise there was no need to worry since they hit at a smaller circumference point on the lower leg. They are definitely not narrow in the foot portion either, I felt they seemed a tad wider then a regular shoe which was perfect for me. The likelihood of wearing thicker socks with these makes the additional width useful. I can see as other reviewers have noted that they'd be a bit rough on a bare leg, high socks, tights or pants tucked in would solve the problem. Very happy with them.

Love my red shorty Hunters! I'm a narrow 7.5, and these fit great with normal every day socks. (With dress socks or thinner socks, they'd be about a half size too big, so just keep that in mind.) When you're walking for a while in them, if you're not wearing pants then your shins might get a little irritated, so I always wear pants with mine, but they are soooooooooo comfy! I also have the tall Hunter tour boots in navy and I love them just as much - almost a little more because they're flexible! These shorty boots are the original so they're glossy and stiff, but wonderful! I would absolutely recommend Hunters to anyone! Love them!

First off, let me start by bragging on how helpful and awesome the customer service I received was. The woman I talked with on the phone was extremely kind and went above and beyond to help me out. Now on to the shoes themselves. These boots are great! They are a great size (for those of us whose legs are too short for the regular Hunters) and they look very cute :) the only thing I would suggest is going probably a half size smaller than what you're used to wearing. All in all, the boots are a great product and a great investment!

These boots fit me perfectly. The boot fit nicely around the foot area, had room for my high instep and room for wide calves with an adjustable side strap.

Great boots overall! After having these boots for 2 years now, they haven't failed me through heavy rain and deep puddles. A little heavy, but all rainboots are, pretty much. I'll be saving up some money to get the taller boots in the future, but these are great too!

I bought these for my term abroad is Edinburgh, Scotland and they are lifesavers. They are really comfortable for a lot of walking and keep your feet try. Plus they are way packable than my tall Hunter boots. I do wish the gloss didn't scratch as easy, but overall they are a must.

Adorable! I bought these for a trade show that I am working in a very rainy state. Per the customer service rep at Zappos, I ordered a full size smaller and they fit like a glove.

Love my Original Short Gloss boots! I first purchased the Original Gloss Boots, but they were entirely TOO tall. I am 5'6 and the boots actually hit my knees, making it difficult to walk and look rather odd....so I sent them back and ordered the Original Short Gloss. These are the perfect height (comes to about mid-calf). Mine are the graphite color, but they appear much lighter in color than it shows online. I'm wearing them now...perfect for rainy spring days in Indiana! Very comfortable and light in weight. I purchased the short Welly socks in yellow to wear with them on colder days.

These boots are very well made and comfy. (I did add an arch support; now they're perfect.) The color is not as blue as the photo on the website indicates -- it's more gray than that -- but I'm still pleased, overall. The shape of the boot is stylish and pleasing, too.

These are adorable. I was sad that the tall boot doesn't fit a larger calf, but these are cute enough that I don't feel I'm missing out. Have to wear thin socks -- there's no warmth without socks and nowhere to fit thick socks.
