These boots are just as gorgeous as I imagined! I was worried I wouldn't be able to fit in them since I normally have to buy wide calf boots, but the shorter cut fits like a dream. My only worry is that the back rim of the boot rubs pretty substantially into the back of my leg. I would not wear these boots without pants tucked into them, or at the very least tall socks or something to provide a barrier between the back of the boot and my leg.

I love the height of these boots. They're a great to wear with dress pants and they're super comfortable. However, they do run large so you need to order a size down.

I am a about 5'4" tall, so I find mid-calf boots to be the most flattering. I think, these are classy and really comfortable. At first I got scared that they felt very heavy and I even wanted to return them, but after trying lots of other rain boots, I realized that these are just the most comfortable ones because the way the keep their shape. I love them and highly recommend them.

After trying on every kind of Hunter boot, I am finally happy with my purchase of the Original Short boot's! I read all of the reviews and here is my conclusion for my leg: The Original Tall came to the middle of my knee and I'm average height, 5'6. The calf part was not tight like I thought it would be, the adjustable's were suggested because so many said their calves were too big. They both were too heavy and I couldn't cross my legs in them. The Huntress calf part was way too wide for me and made my leg look "stumpy". The Hunter Original Short, however, finally fit me the best. I can cross my legs and I don't feel "clunky" in them. I got an 8 which is what I wear normally, they are a little big but I will have room for socks. I tried the 7 on and my toe was touching the very end which bothered me. Too bad they don't make 1/2 sizes! I went with the Glossy Black so I could use them for both Spring and Winter, Dressy and Non-Dressy. Hope this helps! :)

Loving my boots! I am a 9.5/10 and ordered the 9 and they fit great. I can wear a thin or thicker sock with them. I like the short boot because they are comfortable and do not "fold" at the shin like the tall boots. Zappos shipped quickly and I was excited to see the box on my doorstep!

I love these boots! They are so comfortable! I wore them all winter and still wear them when it rains. I bought the cream socks and they fit the same I think...so cute and get compliments all the time. I bought the cleaner but haven't had to use it. They have not changed colors at all. I don't think the glossy ones do. Got my 18 year old the tall ones that aren't shiny. Just love them!

These are so cute and they go with just about anything. I would definitely be getting more colors I love these a bunch. Fit true to size and a little extra room as well. Great purchase and of course Zappos are the best with shipping as always!

I wear between a size 8.5 and 9, and my foot is medium- wide. I'm fairly slim, but my calves are medium sized. These fit very well. I went with the nine and am very happy I did. I wore them for a walk in the woods in the rain, and I didn't slip at all. The shine is great. But, if you are like me, and you can't wear filp-flops driving, then I wouldn't wear these driving- they killed my shins. But I have the world's most sensitive shins, so that's probably not going to happen to everyone.

OMG LOVE these!! I have the tall in glossy black, but they hit right at my knee...cute but these are much more comfy and OH SO CUTE! LOVE them. I'm a size 9, and they even seem to fit better in a 9 than the tall do in a 9. Awesome rain boot.

I have extremely large calves and got these boots after trying both the original tall and the huntress. I was worried the short ones would look funny, but they're still just as cute! I definitely recommend these if you have your heart set on Hunters but have larger legs.

I love the Hunter original short gloss boots! I am 5'3" and I originally ordered the tall ones and they were super tall and hit me mid knee which made them very uncomfortable. The Hunter Short fit me so much better and were taller than I expected (in a good way). I got the Welly cable knit socks to go with them which I also love! I wear my boots for everything now rain, shine, or cold! They are super cute, comfortable, and stylish!

Extremely comfortable. Initially ordered the fall ones but if you're short you HAVE to get short boots. The tall doesn't look right!

These are adorable, but listen when they suggest to go down in size! Of course, as always, Zappos customer service was great. The right size arrived at the right time.

I love these. I wear them every day to work during El Niño! I wear an 8½ and I ordered an 8 and they fit great.

Lots of rain. These are too cute. Love the color (which is very true to the photo) and quality (love the lining), but they are slightly snug on the calf. I have not gotten to splash in puddles yet, but can't wait. Leggings tuck inside, but just barely for me. I ordered a size larger for extra width (I have wide feet) and the ability to use thicker socks.

LOVE these mid boots! The taller hunter boots are a little snug if you have larger calf muscles but these are perfect. The color is a GORGEOUS "Carolina Blue"They are my first Hunter's but intend on buying more. Very comfortable. I normally wear a 7 but sized down to 6 because I 'd heard they run large. The 6 is perfect so I would size down when ordering. I had trouble finding these (in this specific color) and Zappos had these and MANY more that are hard to find. I'm a Hunter fan for life & a Zappos fan for life!! Thank you for your quick service also. I ordered on a weekend and had them by Wednesday. Awesome service!!

These boots are so cute and comfortable! very easy to put on. I am a size 8, wide feet and bought a size 8! Perfect shoe for rainy weather. The tall would have been to overwhelming I am 5'3.

Really cute and comfortable! I look for reasons to wear them! One drawback, the upper part of the boot does sort of cut into your leg. Thicker/longer socks wouldn't hurt!

I wish that I could wear the tall boots, but these look better on my 5'3" short legged frame. They are easy to get on and off. I normally wear a 7 and I got a 7 in these. I have plenty of room for thick socks. I do not have to worry about my jeans bunching up around the top (I hate that!) because they are big enough around the top that my jeans slide right in. I love these!

I am 5'2," so most rain boots are too long for me. These are the perfect length, and very cute to boot. I got them in the graphite gloss, which go with almost everything in my cold-weather capsule wardrobe. I find that rain boots in general are a little difficult to walk in, and these are no exception. However, they are as comfortable as rain boots can be.

I absolutely love these boots! I typically wear a size 12 but was told that these boots run about a size big. I ordered a size 11 and they fit. I have always wanted the tall version of these boots but my calves are too big. I ordered the shorter pair and I love them. They are very comfortable and have great traction. I have received several compliments when wearing these boots. This was my first pair of Hunter boots and I would definitely purchase again. I love Zappos! Fast shipping and awesome customer service!

This is my 1st pair of Hunter rain boots and I will never own another brand. These keep my feet dry when I am walking all around campus. I wore them the day I got them. I had no problems whatsoever. I wouldn't suggest wearing ankle socks since they don't stay up too well. I am 5'1 and the short boots fit me much better than the talks I tried on in store. Can't wait to buy another pair! So worth the money.

I absolutely love these boots! I chose the short style because I have wide calves and was worried the tall style wouldn't fit over my calves. These hit just before my calves start to get wide (about the same spot where Classic Uggs hit). They are a little more stiff than rain boots that I have had in the past, but I found these to be easier and more comfortable to walk in (I would not recommend them for any sort of distance, but they are perfect for my work commute on rainy days). The only downside that I have experienced is that the top digs in ever so slightly (likely due to my wide calves. If you do not have wide calves this will not be an issue). Not enough to be unbearable, but enough to notice it.

My daughter picked this color out. She loves the lavender color! These are well made and fit more like a shoe in the sole. They run slightly big, but allows for a thicker boot sock. My daughter prefers to use her own socks over the Hunter boot socks which are ok but nothing special. Love Zappos because they ship so quickly and exchanges or returns are so easy!!
