The angle of the shoe along the toes was too sharp for my foot. If I went up a size, my big toe would have been lost in a sea of sole. They're really cute, and the leather was supple and soft, but I couldn't get the strap around the ankle tight enough.

This shoe is quite comfortable but the ankle strap is way too short. It could be longer without sticking out. I'm keeping mine and will figure out some way to make them work.

Bummed! I adore this brand and happily pay the price due to quality and comfort. I'm young but have troublesome foot and back issues so I was excited to find a pseudo-gladiator I could wear to my corporate job with long dresses this summer. Great leather and plenty wide straps but the foot bed was super narrow and dished so the edges dug into my soles. I normally wear a 9.5-10 in W/WW and in this brand sometimes a 9 in WW. Ordered 9.5 W and it just didn't work. Not comparable to their other W shoe I own. Returning for something else hoping I can find something stylish.

Cute as can be and probably comfortable, but the strap across the top of the shoe is cut just north of my bunion. It not only looks bad, but the rubbing of the strap across the bunion isn't going to work for me. Sadly, it has to go back at once.

The Softwalk Torino, Silver I ordered a 10 1/2W to try after my usual 10W did not work. Unfortunately, the half size up still did not work either. The footbed on this shoe is very narrow, especially at the toe. It has the cushion typical of SoftWalk, so I really wanted it to work. Unfortunately, I have to return both pair.

The back strap on these doesn\'t fit right over the back of the foot. It is hard to get the shoe on without the strap getting bunched up in the back. The sole of the shoe is very cushion-y, and I like the bumps on the sole.

I bought these to wear on a recent trip to New Orleans, a city where you need to walk alot, but it\'s also hot so I didn\'t want to wear closed up sneakers. I liked these when I first tried them on, very comfortable on the bottom with a good cushion for walking all day. Unfortunately, I might have gotten them a half size too small, and my little toes got blisters on them. I might still be able to wear them if I put a band aid on my little toes first. I regret spending so much on these shoes but they got so dirty on my trip that I can\'t return them now. Oh well.

I had really high expectations for this shoe. When they arrived I was surprised at how cute they were and that they were actually comfortable. And that was true for the first few wears. The leather detail is not very supple and after a few wears (read:2-3 times) the shoe was feeling rather stiff so I kind of stopped wearing them preferring some crocs for walking around instead. I decided to go back to them after some time and found that the leather straps were not only brittle and almost crunchy, they were falling apart. All of the straps, but particularly the buckle one, were ungluing themselves as it seems that these shoes were crafted from extremely thin, poor quality leather sandwiching a small ribbon that kept the two sides "together". I can't believe that something claiming such good production could fall apart so spectacularly. If I could I would return them. My level of disappointment is extreme. I've bought way cheaper shoes than this that didn't even get close to how poorly constructed these are. They get points for cuteness and initial comfort but they literally fell apart on my feet and I did not walk any great distance on them. And honestly, based on other reviews, I have to believe it's a fluke but my goodness what a way to mess up a shoe.

I've had these sandals for about a year. The leather straps are two pieces glues together, not stitched. So ALL of the leather on every strap separated. I BARELY wore them. So I surprised to pull them out of my closet and find them just split everywhere. In fact, if you look at the soles, they look hardly worn. There were really comfortable, until all of the leather separated.

I ordered my usual 8N. They were way too long and way too big in the heel. I think they were labeled incorrectly. Even so, they look clunky and are heavy (thick sole). Not what I expected.

Shoe is a very large nine and the heel straps are not narrow. also front straps. I don't think in a smaller narrow size things would be any different. It just isn't a narrow shoe. Lovely style and great for wide feet even though it says 9 N. Too bad, I liked them!

I had high hopes for these sandals since I have various problems with me very wide, flat feet and had purchased a pair of Softwalk boots this winter which were super-comfortable (though not very good looking...) I live abroad, so had to pay extra for international shipping via a shipping company, but I thought it would be worth the risk. Since I cannot return purchases, it's like gambling. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. In this case: I lose...These sandals are diaspointing, to put it mildly, and I can't understand what all the other reviewes are raving about. First: They look cheap. The leather (I got the black) is real leather but very thin and flimsy, the back of the sandal is very unatractive. The strap that loops through the ankle part is SO SO SO loose it doesn't stay in place and looks pretty weird. The width (I got the 8.5 wide) is great, but other than that, nothing special about this sandal. Also: The egg shell foot bed only goes down to where the toe area begins, and does not feel as soft or cushy as I expected it to. I wore them a few times and my feet began hurting very soon. If they looked nicer, or had any chic/style to them perhaps I'd be motivated to wear them on occasion anyway, but unfortunately, they're just sitting in the closet...I find that this issue: A flimsy sandal which does not hold the foot in place occurs a lot with wide-with sandals and it's a pity, cause they usually cost more. Anyhow - It's not a terrible purchase and might work for some, but not for me.

Didn't care for the marshmallow-type leather or the style on my foot - again it was way too wide. I am returning.

These are comfortable, good looking shoes. I was surprised though when I took them off that the soles of my feet absorbed the black dye. It took a bit of scrubbing to get it off since it was dye not dirt. I am trying to find a spray to use to stop this, otherwise the shoe is not worth wearing.

Loved these, but they are hugely wide. I ordered the narrow and they are swimmingly wide. Wider than most regular width! If you have wide feet, they are so cute.

The style of this shoe intrigued me long enough that I had to order it. The mixed reviews caused some concern but I ordered the normal size that I wear in a sandal -- 8 N. Not being that familiar with Soft Walks sizing, I learned that it ran short and inconsistent. Both were short, one a narrow width and the other more like a medium. The ankle straps were very inadequate in length and I have a slender ankle -- what would someone else do? Overall, the quality of this shoe is lacking -- the straps are all cut leather with bare edges and it seemed like they were soft and would easily stretch. This is not what I expect for a sandal that costs this much. Thanks to Zappos and your return policy.

I loved the look of this shoe. However, after trying them on, I realized the left shoe was defective. The strap on the side of the shoe was 1/2 in. longer than the right shoe. It caused the heel to slide up and down. I was so sorry that they didn't work out. I am returning them.

This is a pretty shoe, bit it is the most uncomfortable sandal I have ever overpaid for. It's too wide, not padded or cushioned at all, and I comfortable if you wear it all day. I would send the, back but I made the mistake of wearing them to work. Save your money

Great looking shoe. Very comfortable foot bed, and probably would have had good support, but the narrow width was just too wide. So sad to return this stylish comfort shoe.

Ugh. So uncomfortable. I bought these for walking during a trip to New Orleans. They felt terrible, but I had no other sandals so I had to wear them and now they are too worn to return. They really pinch my toes and are unwearable after about a half hour. I do like the look, but it doesn't make up for the pain. These are supposed to be comfort shoes.

Unlike the other customers, I found these sandals to be uncomfortable in the heel strap area, and running a little small.

I ordered a 10N (I can only wear narrow, and am usually a 10 or 10-1/2). This shoe fits like a size 11, medium. WAY too long, and WAY too much slack in the straps over the top of the foot (even when buckled on tightest setting). The leather looks a little cheesy, too.

I have the black and brown pairs of this shoe. Ordered this one and it is way to wide. I can't understand while the other two pair fit perfect this one is too wide. Very disappointed. Had to return them.

This shoe is very cute, unfortunately the narrow size is not narrow. the sole is okay, but the straps are so loose you can fit your fingers between your foot and the straps. Softwalk needs to improve their fitting on narrow shoes!
