These are the best boots I have ever had for serious backpacking. 40lb Pack in the desert, no blisters pure comfort with custom orthotics. I have a narrow foot and a high arch. With the custom orthotics hiking was a dream (If you can think of a 40 lb pack being dreamy.

I wear a narrow width looked for about two months on the internet thought everywhere until I found Lowa. Skeptical due to my hard to find feet size. I ordered the Renegade GTX Mid and when they came in two days they fit just PERFECT!!! Feet not sore or have fatigue at all. Just an amazing pair of boots. Total Comfort, Quality and Appearance is Wonderful. I recommend these to anyone that need shoes and or boots. Now know where to get future footwear!

I bought these because I was looking for a shoe with a larger toe box than an Asolo Newtron. I have wide flat feet. I put them on and they defiantly feel better in the toe area than the Asolo's I have worn Asolos for over 15 years and love the quality and longevity. So far I'm loving these Lowa GTX's. The only thing I'm worried about is the Asolo's have a rubber toe. This has saved me many times. we will see what the longevity is.

These replaced a size 12 that I’d bought/returned. I’m a true size 12, can run 1/2 size larger or smaller, yet I’ve habitually worn my shoes rather snug. I went for the 12 and soon realized they were indeed too snug after a thirteen mile hike. The 12.5 fits perfect with enough room for my feet to acclimate to longer hikes. Great comfort, makes me realize how badly I needed a quality boot/fit.

The Lowa Renegade boots were a perfect fit. They were true to size and width. The boots felt awesome as soon as I put them on. I did not even have to break them in. They were comfortable from the start. So worth the money!

Fit and size were great! No break in time. Hike in desert/canyons with 40lb backpack in some of the most remote and rugged area of the country. I have narrow long foot and use custom orthotics, These Lowa narrow boots are the best I have had in my 45 years of backpacking!

Fit is excellent, all the way around. Superb comfort and good looking, to boot.....excuse the pun! Time will tell, as far as durability goes, but they appear to be very well made. Very satisfied thus far!

These are great boots that are sturdy enough for serious hiking while still being pretty lightweight. The ankle support is excellent. But, the best part is the fantastic fit due to 3 different width choices.

Very good quality boots and very light but sturdy

I bought these for a trip to the desert. Hard backpack trip in Canyonlands NP. 40lb pack. 6 days. No real break-in. The boots were superb. The best I have ever had in my 40 years of backpacking

I have slightly narrow feet, and these are true to size in narrow. My first pair made it through ten years of New England winters, and these are every bit as high quality and comfort.

Bought these for my husband who is extremely picky and has an incredibly hard time finding boots that fit...love at first try. He is in the honeymoon phase of this relationship. The shoe has not been put through the paces yet but he said that these are hands down the most comfortable lighter weight hikers he has ever worn. He loves that they are all black because he gets away wearing these with more dressed up outfits.

Bought these for a 66 year old with problematic feet. This is the only brand of hiking boots that lets him hike all day in comfort.

This is my second pair of Lowa Renegade boots, first bought because they were made in a wide width, but I love them for their style and support and comfort. My first pair has served me well for six years. I didn't consider any other boot to replace my first pair, but ordered the exact same size and color. Every time I put them on, I smile.

Lowa boots are well constructed and made true to size in Europe. This is my second pair of Renegade GTX. Most comfortable shoes I own and can wear them for 12-14 hours with no fatigue. Great hiking boot even with a heavy pack.

Purchased for my dad to wear while working on family farm and he couldn’t have been more pleased. I have the same pair to hike and in the field for disaster response. They’re worth the investment.

Went on smoothly with almost no break-in needed.

These boots are brand new, so I have not put them through any significant trials to report on yet. Out of the box, they fit my wide foot surprisingly well. The length is right, as my custom orthotics fit inside perfectly. I wore them for two days to help break in; one day at a picnic and the other on concrete floors for 10 hours and the footbed seems to not be as "cushy" as some boots, but they support my ankle and heel very, very well, so they don't need to be soft to maintain comfort. Grip tread seems to be plenty "grippy." I have not tried them in water yet. I'll post a follow up review down the road. So far, so good.

My husband LOVES these boots. Perfect fit for his (15ww) feet. They look great in ALL the colors. I especially like the black black on his feet. One caveat, they don't last as long as I feel $250+ shoes should, but hey, -just the "cost of doing business" when you have a picky husband with big feet. Special appreciation to Zappos Customer Service which is exceptional. These folks are one of a kind in today's world. It's because of them that I remain an Uber-loyal customer.

Same boot I bought and loved for past ten years. Rugged in all right ways. Waterproof in all right ways. Best break in/non break in period ever.
