These are total comfort! The adjustments of the straps is a little tricky even though you are given a diagram. Buckle adjusting the straps is tight.

It takes a little while to get the straps adjusted to the correct tension. Once done, the sandal is comfortable. The sole is very dense which caused the sandal to be heavier than I expected and the arch is quite defined. This didn't affect my comfort.

I bought these to hike around the mtns. and the beaches of Costa Rica. I bought them a month in advance to "break" them in...The first pair I ordered was my typical size but they just seemed too small and narrow. The arch was situated too high (towards my toes) and my heel just fit on the back of the shoe...Typically I like sandals to be a little larger then my foot because I think it looks better...but this shoe just seemed to be off proportion to my foot. I returned them and got a size larger... and now it’s a much better fit! The straps are adjustable- but I am still playing with them and moving them around a month later (mostly the strap around the big toe)... they are very comfortable and durable and really looking forward to wearing them in Costa Rica...I just hope the straps don't rub a blister! Overall, I am happy with the size larger, the color, the outdoor durability, and the style.

I thought these would be great sandals for hiking and outdoor fun, however they ran at least a full size smaller than my normal size. It took forever to get the straps adjusted to fit my foot correctly and they unfortunately were still too small. They seem like they were very well made and I currently just ordered the next size up to try them out.

I played with the straps a ton and couldn't make them comfortable enough. Decided to return them and get some Merrell: Agave. I didn't feel like they were secure enough and they were not comfortable.

Love the looks and practicality but the straps are very difficult to adjust and can be extremely uncomfortable. Bought a pair for general use and especially kayaking because they stay on your feet and don't flip flop. Great molded footbed with good arch support. They're fine when I put them on, but if I walk more than 15 minutes, the straps tug and rub in a number of spots and create blisters. I bought a pair for my daughter who loved them when she saw mine and after wearing them a bit, she had the same reaction. "They're uncomfortable; I'll stick to my Tevas."

This shoe has the potential to be my favorite summer shoe. It fits perfect, great support, and looks great. The only problem is that when the straps are adjusted to the foot, they only stay in adjustment for a short time. If this could be corrected they would be a great shoe.

I kept readjusting them, only to have them tighten over and over. I read a suggestion that you should spray the straps with Simple Green to help remove the "wax" on the straps so they don't slide so easily. I've done that four times and they still kill my big toe. I'm so disappointed.

I can't give these an accurate review as I couldn't wear them. Love the style and trying them on they seemed they would have great arch support. I wear a 8.5 and made the mistake of going down a size instead of up. Returning for a 9!

These are my Old Faithful! I’m a creature of habit. Or perhaps too lazy to hunt for a new shoe when I find what works! I have plantar fasciitis, and Chaco is one of the few sandal brands I can wear. My feet are hard to please, however they love this shoe. I wear them for everyday wear- including work (Kindergarten teacher). They’re versatile, well made, and last long. Some people can’t handle the toe wrap, but I can’t live without it! ...IKR? Also, some can’t deal with the adjustable straps. For those, I say, learn it! This is a life saver for swollen feet days! I’m a bit biased, as I’ve been wearing Chacos for over 10 years...please don’t stop making them....or change the “formula”! PS... If you think they’re too expensive, understand you’ll wear these ALLLLL the time. I have a general rule of thumb for shoe purchases. If I pay $1 wear (or less), they’re worth it. I DEFINITELY meet that with these.

I first bought this sandal several years ago on the clearance rack at REI. I have a couple of Chavos & thought this should be good, too. Well, let me tell you . . . This is the only sandal/shoe I have worn for the last 5+ years!!! I love the comfort & style, it goes with anything I wear, & I love that I can kick them off & slip them on, in no time!!! When I was looking for the same style, I was praying it had not been retired. I was elated to find it still here!!! Try the Zong Ecotread. I guarantee you will love them as much as I do!!!!!!

Once you get them adjusted, they are wonderful! I have had them for almost a year and don't have to re-adjust at all. SUPER comfortable and durable, and they stay on my feel well, no need for a heel strap. Major upgrade from your average flip flop. Thanks Chaco!

Hard to fit feet like these sandals! Can wear with a skirt, with jeans, to the beach, or just around. Takes a bit to get the straps just right but then you are all set and do not need any further adjustments. I am very happy with these shoes.

They are my very favorite summer sandals. I like them so much I ordered a second pair.

These are the perfect summer shoes! They go with everything. I have been wearing them every day since I got them.

Amazing!!!! I LOVE my new sandals and wear them ALL the time!!! I usually wear only barefoot shoes, however, for these I have made a big exception :-)

These are great shoes. Wore them around SFO and Napa and they did great. True to size, great arch support. Only con, strapped rubbed a bit on top of arch, but skin toughened up, not bad now.

I loved this shoe. It is a little stiff and it has a great arch support so if you do not need the arch support this is not your shoe.

I am familiar with Chaco and have purchased many pair over the years. I loved the strap style and really wanted a slip on slip off shoe that would be my main summer shoe. I adjusted the straps without any problem and found the fit quite comfortable. However, after walking around the shoes for a short period of time, I found that the straps encircling the big toe became tighter and tighter as I wore them. Initially thinking that it just needed additional adjustment I did that. But as I wore them on throughout the day, the straps around the big toe needed constant readjusting. I finally figured what was happening. As I walked and bent my foot to step, the upper straps became loosened as my foot and heel rose away from the sole of the foot. This caused the lower straps to slip toward the top and tighten around the fore foot and toe. Any step I made pulled up the straps to the point of uncomfortably tightening the straps around my toe and would require constant readjusting. For this reason, I am returning them.

I ordered these because I wasn't 100% sold on the thicker straps of the Zong Ecotread. Fitwise they just didn't match up. The double straps actually bothered my big toes more than the single, thicker strap and I felt like the sides of my feet near my pinkie toes stuck out into the webbing. I think the Zong X are cute and the narrower straps look more feminine but fitwise the Zong is better!

I wanted to love these sandals but couldn’t get my big toe through the loop and had to send them back. Wish Chacos had more ability to adjust the straps.

The straps will hurt you do not buy these shoes. I have other Chacos these straps are rough and gouged my feet, very sorry I invested in these shoes
