True to size. Comfortable. I love them. Only one complaint: small cut in the leather.

I got these in fawn and they're a gorgeous, unique colour that matches all. I've gotten many compliments. The size was true, but I had to use a shoehorn for the first week to get them on. The price has been raised since I purchased them. I wonder about the leather sole's durability, but love them too much to care right now.

These boots are so well made and adorable...perfect for a good daily use boot. Unfortunately they are going back because there is just too much of a gap between the boot and my calf. I have to say that they are perhaps the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever put on, even more than Cole Haan (which I am loyal to). I would definitely recommend Frye boots if you have an average calf size and are looking for style. One drawback: these have no traction on the bottom and could potentially be slippery on ice or other surfaces that are slick.

I love these boots! I ordered a half size smaller and they fit nicely. Like someone else had mentioned, however, they are a little difficult to get on. But once they are on, they feel great! Love the chocolate brown color too.

For as much as I spent on these boots, my calves hardly fit in them. I have larger than average calves, so tucking in a pair of jeans to these is out of the question. I still wear them because they are so comfortable, the leather is beautiful and they look great under a pair of boot cut jeans. The leather will give a bit after much wear, causing bunching around the ankle, but I pretty much play in the dirt with these, so I'm not too concerned about that.

Beautiful boot, albeit a little snug in the calf area. But I will be returning these because they are clearly a return, and the way I received these looks like it went straight from the last buyer to me. And the last buyer clearly wore these more than to just try on (multiple scuffs on the right boot... likely from driving), and multiple scuffs on the bottom from walking around. No way will I pay this much for used boots.

Couldn't get it on. I have a high instep and couldn't get my foot down into the boot. Sole is very smooth, very slippery. Like the look. Also no loops to pull it on with.

These boots are very pretty, but not comfortable at all. They also run really large. I normally wear an 8.5-9 and I ordered an 8 but they still felt big. The bottoms are also VERY slippery with no traction. The leather is very stiff - not comfortable.

Very nice leather, but the shaft is much too high on my 5'2" frame. Returning.

These are beautiful, as so many Frye boots are, but I found the foot of the boot to be a bit tight, stiff, and uncomfortable. I'm no longer interested in wearing shoes I have to "break in" and these really felt they would be--had to send them back!

These look great but unfortunately I couldn’t even get them on they were so small. I didn’t try a size up because I was worried about them still being difficult to slip on. Found a different pair with zippers - easier to put on.

I loved how it felt in my foot (I'm typically an 8 and the 8 fit great), but the boot shaft was way too tight for my preference. I'd only be able to wear with thin leggings, jeans. My calves are a medium size and I think I'll just need something wider, so unfortunately I'll have to return. If you're looking for a close fitting tall boot though these would be great.

Returning for a smaller size. Usually a 10, 9.5 still slipping on heel, trying 9.

I'm 5' 9", have a high instep and a wide calf, and these boots fit just okay. I have tried 4 different pairs of Frye's, and just can't seem to get the right boot/style for my feet. The color, leather and overall style is great...but to be honest, these just fit really weird. Baggy around ankle, very slippery bottoms, wider calf area and a smaller opening at the top. I guess it just takes a certain leg to fit into these boots nicely. Also, the cognac color I ordered was completely different than in the picture. Bummed out.

Boot pinches in at the top back of calf. I have pretty small legs and these were super tight towards to top. no good. Beautiful leather though. I'm sad to return them:(

Not good if you have a high instep. I could barely muscle them on. Getting them off was an issue also. Cute, but not for me.

I ordered these boots in 2 different colors: Cognac and Dark Brown Antique Wash. Both on the same size (8.5, Medium). The brown antique wash fit like a glove. The Cognac I couldn't even get the boot passed my heel. It's like they were 2 completely different sizes (I checked, they weren't). I've seen people say to order up a 1/2 size which I did not. I'm glad, because the dark brown fit. But if I had wanted to keep the Cognac I would've definitely needed to have sized up. That being said, the dark wash boots I kept are very cute and look terrific with skinny jeans! I had to give a 3 star rating due to the incredible size difference in the 2 colors.

The boot is good quality, but didn't fit my foot well. I have a narrow heel and wide toe. The shape of the boot is more of a narrow toe and wide heel, so my heel slips out while the toe is tight. They also seem to run a 1/2 size large, although I don't think I could have ordered a smaller size due to the width of the toe. At the moment I'm wearing them with thicker socks and hoping the conform to my foot more, but they are not as comfortable as cheaper boots I have purchased.

Right out of the box thoughts...beautiful boot, great color, great style. Then I tried to put them on and really struggled...not something I want to deal with on a daily basis. After FINALLY getting them on...they felt true to size. I would go a half size bigger if you wear thicker socks. I am returning because I don't want to struggle with putting them on...I need a zipper.

I own this exact boot in the Cognac color in a size 9 so when I ordered this recently in the Beige Washed Antique I anticipated it to fit similarly but I was severely disappointed. I could not get my foot into the boot whatsoever! Also, when I ordered the shoe it was scuffed up on the bottom heel and sole and not in a weathered way it was more of a worn way and that also bothered me. I have think ankles and legs and did not anticipate the shoe to fit the way it did. I gave this a 3 because overall the color was really a nice tan neutral leather and if it fit I would have kept it.
