These boots are absolutely beautiful. I like many other people have wanted these boots for the longest time. I finally broke down and bought them after buying a cheap pair of boots every year and not really liking them. I'm an 8 1/2 and they fit perfect. My calf circumference is 14 inches and I got the regular calf boot. They will fit just fine with leggings and skinny jeans. If you've been thinking about buying these boots, go for it. You will not be disappointed!!!

I love these boots! I got what I actually wear an 8.5. I do have narrow but these boots fit likes glove.

This is my second pair of Frye Melissa Button boots. My first pair were very hard to get on but this pair with the antiqued dark brown leather was softer and easy to get on the very first time. These boots can comfortably be worn all day long. I am 5'1" so it's hard to find boots that are the right height for my legs - these are perfect and the dark brown color is gorgeous.

This is my third and absolute favorite pair of Frye boots! I love the color - not brown, not black, but a dark greyish, brownish that looks worn in and beautifully aged. They are super sturdy, incredibly comfortable and beautiful. I even got a compliment yesterday from a man who said those are awesome boots! How many men really pay attention to boots? If they are Frye boots, I guess they do! These are the kind of boots that you hand down to your daughters - they will last a lifetime and probably even look better years from now, having aged gracefully and wearing the character of a lifetime of experiences. One thing to note: I love them even more because they are somewhat slim around the calf. I have skinny legs and it is hard to find boots that do not just gape around them. These are perfect - roomy but not gaping. and because they are so sturdy they stand up (not droop). Someone with wider calves might not find them as comfortable. I absolutely love these boots!

OMG! Worth every single penny. They are so beautiful and comfortable! Love the look, the feel and the smell. I got the vintage black. Love love love! Can't wait to get another color next winter!

These boots are amazing! Well made and the fit is spot on. I did order a half size down based upon other reviews. With thin socks they fit perfectly. If you prefer thicker socks, order true size. First pair of Frye boots and I will be a customer for life. Money well spent.

I have several pairs of Frye boots and these were the most comfortable pair I've ever tried right out of the box. The pairs I tried were a bit wider in the toe box than my other Frye's and I think this is what made the difference in comfort. Like they'd already been stretched out/worn in. I love the washed cognac color too. But as with all Frye boots there can be a lot of variation from one pair to the next...the first pair I tried the "wash" looked more like someone took brillo to the leather and rubbed it in a straight line up and down each panel of leather. It looked too intentional. The second pair I tried (also just as comfortable as the first) had more subtle antiquing/washing and was beautiful. In the end though I decided to return because I just didn't love the overall look of the boot. Instead I'm going with the Melissa Tab Tall because they look a bit more polished and a little less western and I think I'll get more use out of them.

Just like I remember! They do stretch a bit on the first wear, so be careful if you like to wear thick socks! I love 'em.

I got the vintage leather cognac in these boots and the color and feel of the leather is gorgeous! I would recommend sizing down half a size for this style, though. The leather soles were so slippery I took them to a cobbler and had rubber tread soles put on and that really did the trick. Shaft is the perfect height I was looking for and I have slim calves and they fit just right to wear with skinny jeans and leggings without big gaps, etc... I really love these boots, the leather is such nice quality. I have always had tall boots with full length zippers, so these pull-ons will take some getting use to, but I have not had time to really break them in yet, either. These are very comfortable and gorgeous boots.

I gave these boots all the stars because I have two pairs;one in cognac and one in black. The craftsmanship is top notch. I took them to the cobbler's tho to get them ready for the fall. The only negatives are the lack of rubber sole and the black color did not stay black long. The cobbler actually put rubber soles on both of them so I would not be slipping and sliding anymore. I am saving to get the brown ones so I will have all the colors that I will ever need to complete my fall and winter wardrobe.

I received my boots the other day. The fit is perfect. I purposely bought the regular fit, not the expanded calf fit, as that would have been too wide for me. This is a color and style that will be so versatile and will definitely look good and be comfortable for as long as you have them on your feet. I, also, have these boots in Black, so, I'm set!

I am sorry to have to return them. They are a great color but not for anyone with a moderately high instep - you might get them on by yourself but you will need to travel with a helper to pull them off.

I love these boots! I was a little skeptical because of some of the reviews, and I was apprehensive because I thought I have bigger that average size calves (they are about 15 inches), but it did not matter, these boots fit perfectly and look amazing. I have gotten many compliments on them - people love the color. I don't really have anything negative to say about them. Just go ahead and splurge - get these boots. If for some odd reason they don't work for you, Zappos has the best customer service ever and an easy return policy!

Got them in the cognac washed antique and the color is stunning. It took a few days to break in as the sole was pretty tough and inflexible, but now they fit like a dream. I ordered a size 6 - I'm a regular size 6 with pretty tiny/non-existent calves so I had no problems getting them on/off. Overall loving them, looks great with dresses and over jeans/leggings. We'll see how they last over time - most of the soles of my shoes end up wearing down at the heel but hoping with how thick this heel is, that won't happen for a while.

Love this boot. I already had it in black and absolutely love the dark brown. Zappos is my favorite online place to shop. Awesome customer service-always!
