I think these are great boots and very comfortable and beautiful leather/design. However I think they run a half-size too big. Basedon the reviews I got them in a 7. My true size, but they are way too long and too wide. Now I wish I had gotten them in a 6.5. If you want to wear these with anything other than the thickest of socks I would go a half size smaller. I wish I did.

Love this boot! I am waiting to be notified when the black is available in my size. I am athletic, so my calves are very muscular. I have an extremely hard time finding a boot that is in style and fits around my calves. After ordering several pairs (Zappos is so convenient and efficient) I found the perfect pair. I can even tuck my jeans in them! I will be ordering them in many colors.

I love these boots. They fit true to size, and the shaft is not too narrow. I usually have a problem with boot shafts being too narrow, especially Frye boots, but these are fine. The leather is beautiful and the color is a deep rich red that is not obvious. They don't scream "I am wearing red boots," but are a nice change to the usual black and brown colors available.

Super cute boot! The top folds down for a different look. When up, the top hits just at the mid top of my knee, very flattering height. The taupe leather is wonderfully worn, textured and interesting. Comfy right out of the box, which is huge.

I have many Frye boots and shoes; I love them. They are usually well made and comfortable. If you have thin calves - or wide calves - they make the right boots for you; you just have to try out a few! I ordered these but since I have thin calves/legs, I had to sadly return them. They were really well made; the leather was fantastic, the foot was comfortable. As for sizing, I suggest ordering your regular size. If you have thin calves and wear a larger size like I do, the calves get wider with each progessing size. In my opinion, this is why these boots - and a few other Frye boots - do not work. That being said, if you like the slouchy look and want to fill the calf area up with boot cut jeans, that could work! I just don't suggest sacrificing your comfort by ordering a size smaller in an attempt to get a narrower calf fit, it probably won't work : )

This boot is amazing!! The leather is so soft, and I love the color! I got the Tan Burnished Leather, and it looks lightly distressed. It does easily scratch however, and this leaves marks on the boot.

If you are thinking about buying these boots, do it! Just got them and love them! I have had problems with some boots being too tight on the calf and was really worried that these didn't have a zipper. It did take some finessing to get my foot in the heel base, but no issue on the calf at all. To get them off, I did have to enlist help from my husband. I ordered the burnished brown and will wear them with both brown and black. I am always a straight 7, but ordered them in a 7.5 in case I want to wear thicker socks, the sizing seems perfect. As for comfort, I only have worn them one night, but they seemed amazingly comfortable. These boots were at the top of my price range compared to what I normally spend on shoes and because of that, I debated on them for a good long while. So glad I did, I'll wear them forever!

These boots are it! I love them so very much, they ran very true to size and the are absolutely beautiful on, they hit just below the knee when not cuffed, or can be cuffed to take a few inches off the top. Super cute with thigh highs! Worth it!

These are gorgeous and I love them. I never wear them cuffed preferring the stylish look of boots that come just below the knee. They have a distressed look that is very hip. I have about 10 pairs of boots and these are my go to boots for straight leg jeans. They are very comfortable for walking yet add some height. I highly recommend these. Oh, and they are not very cowboy looking for Frye.

I love the Jane Tall Cuff! I purchased these in Natural and it is a beautiful color unlike any I've seen outside of Frye boots. I don't usually wear brown tones and these boots go with everything in my closet. They really do tie all my outfits together. The leather is sturdy, beautiful and I can tell they will last as long as I take good care of them.

This is my second pair of Frye boots, and they do not disappoint! I read the reviews and ordered my regular size 9 (Frye's tend to run big - about a half size larger - so I usually order 8½). I feel these are a little wider, and I have a high instep/arch. I am 5'9" and with the cuff up it's just below my knee...a really nice look. I got the pebbled black because I wanted something more on the casual side. I have normal calves and thinner ankles...so these are a little baggy in the ankles but fit perfect on the calves, with some extra room - even with jeans tucked in.

Well-made, comfortable, and beautiful. I have large, athletic calves, and these boots were able to accommodate them. They keep me nice and warm too. So glad I got them.

I am in love with these boots. They fit perfectly and I didn't have to break them in. I don't normally wear heels but these are so comfortable I can't even tell the difference! They are a splurge but they're completely worth it.

These boots are over the top! I have received so many compliments. Comfortable, as well! Wow - I may have to get another pair.

Perfect! This is my new go to boot for our rainy, cold, winter weather. The leather is gorgeous, the boot comfy right out of the box with wonderful style. Highly recommended.

I really had to talk myself into these boots, but finally splurged on them as an early birthday present. They were definitely worth it. I usually wear an 8.5, so went down to an 8 based on comments here, and they fit perfectly. I have fairly skinny legs, so often feel like I'm swimming in boots, but these are great. I love them with skinny jeans and a t-shirt, as well as a nice skirt at work. I'm 5'8 and when unfolded, the top of the boot hits right at mid-knee.

I absolutely love these boots! I bought a pair of riding boots from DSW and they sucked. The quality was terrible. So I returned them and splurged on these boots and they are comfortable, sexy, stylish, and just amazing. You will not be disappointed if you buy these boots!

Gorgeous boot. I have two other pairs of Frye boots so I felt I was splurging on these. A bit decadent, however, they last for years. I was choosing between the Paige and Melissa button and in the end sent those back. These fit perfectly with no trouble getting my foot in. Just slides right in. True to my size 7.5. They unfold to mid knee, not above. The leather is gorgeous, rubbed off look. Got the tan and love it. I was fearful these might be too trendy for me, but my co-workers talked me into them. Also, like the heel as my others are flat.

The boots are beautiful. I have worn them with a sweater dress, skinny jeans and leggings. I get compliments on them ALL the time. I wore them to a wine tasting and even the guys were talking about my boots! I did go 1/2 size up so that I could wear thick socks with them, but they do run true to size.

The Jane is very comfortable with a nice medium height heel. That you can roll the cuff up or over is great and makes it versatile. Size runs generous.

Wow! Best boots ever! Well worth the price! Comfortable, warm, so many compliments. If you have big thighs like I do, these are great - no pinching, just right fit, very flattering!

These boots are freaking awesome! Size wise, I'm on an awkward cusp where I sometimes need a wide calf and a wide foot size, so it's very hard to find boots. Wide calf boots are usually too wide, and regular boots are often too small. These are perfect. Also, because I know I'm a wide and these fit, I'm marking felt wider than marked. For most people this will be good because it will mean you can wear thick socks in the winter with them. The heel is perfect for feeling sexy while still being able to wear them all day comfortably. The quality and construction is the best I've ever had (as it should be for the price). Cute cuffed, but I prefer them tall. The leather is very thick and the color is amazing. I highly recommend purchasing, I know I'll enjoy wearing them for years to come. Now that I know Frye's fit, I'll have to resist the temptation of buying more pairs!

I purchased the taupe colored boots a year ago and love them even more now than the day I got them! It is a sturdy yet still rugged sexy heel with excellent heel support, much more comfortable than my inexpensive boots. Great over skinny jeans or with skirts, I like the taupe color without any tights; it's a nice natural look. For the first few months, they were a bit difficult to get on over the ankle, but have loosened up and the beautiful leather is like butter. Over time they slouch a bit more than the photo, but I also like this look. Keep the leather conditioned! I've walked around Seattle all day in them and my feet were a bit tired, but not too bad, especially considering how beautiful the boots are.

Love \'em. Very comfortable, with a low heel. These boots are pretty roomy in the calf but it fits the style well. Not narrow enough to fit under pants but look fantastic on the outside.

These boots are gorgeous and extremely comfortable. Heel height is perfect. Another incredible boot by Frye!
