I love my Birkenstock sandals and I keep trying to love a shoe that I could wear in the winter, but these are just not all that comfortable and are really clunkier than even I would wear. Bottom line, just not cute enough to warrant not being amazingly comfortable.

The shoes were too short. I usually wear a 39 in sandals, but because the leather at the front is close to the footbed, my toes were jamming at the front. I have not tried the next size.

Still not sure about these. I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis in both feet this summer. The left foot loves these shoes, while the right one complains. I think I'm just going to have to wait until everything is healed and them I will update this!

Maybe it is just me, but these shoes were the most uncomfortable shoes that I have ever worn. I am a school teacher with feet issues so I figured I would treat myself to a good pair of shoes. After reading the reviews I decided upon these. After walking around in these things all day, I felt like crying by the end of the day (that is how bad they hurt). I even tried them twice, thinking that maybe they needed some break in time with the exact same results - extreme pain! Needless to say I have not worn them since! It literally felt like I was walking on jagged rocks! This was a total waste of money.

Sadly, this model does not fit my foot and I had to return the two different sizes I tried. The main problem for me is that the toe-tip area is vertically narrow (from foot bed up to inner top of shoe). Horizontally (width-wise) it is fine. It is so narrow, the tips of my toes smashed down when I inserted my foot into the shoe. This is unfortunate, as I need a cold-weather Birkenstock with the soft footbed (much needed for hard New York City sidewalks!) and the Paris model is the only one to offer the soft footbed.

These shoes are like hooves. I cannot imagine anyone with flexible human feet being able to stand these for longer than two minutes. They have way too much structure. It was like standing on the Atlantic coastal shelf. Back they go; I will return to ballet flats with no regrets whatsoever.
