I love these Birkenstocks! The soft foot bed is delightful to wear & they fit almost as well as the regular Birkenstocks. They are not as deep as the regular Paris style especially in the heel cup but not enough to bother anyone. I wear these several times a week & love them. I only wish they made them in different colors- I would buy many more!

Love these shoes! I needed something for colder weather, in a narrow width, with a soft footbed and these are perfect. These shoes needed no 'breaking in' period and I wore them all day with no problems. They looked very nice with jeans. I wish these were available in more colors.

Birkenstock is pure comfort. Anyone with back or feet problems should try them. I would prefer a better finish on the leather upper. I\'m not sure how these will wear. I have several pairs of Birkenstock shoes and the leather uppers stretch with wear and get a shiny appearance on the toes and sides. These are expensive shoes. This company should improve the quality of the leather upper. I have no complaints about the sole. They are wearing well.

These are some of the ugliest shoes that I have ever seen! However, my sister loves them. She bought a pair for herself earlier this year and she lost one of them (who does that?) walking to her car from the office. I actually mistook them for the other comfortable shoes, Moccasins? She cursed me and asked how dare I. Geez, I don't know; I don't wear either one! Anyways, I am buying her a pair from this site. I've searched all over the internet and you all seem to be the least expensive. I can't believe what some people pay for ugly comfort. I love this site because you always have what I am looking for. Can't wait to get these, to hand right over to her! She'll love 'em! Thanks Zappos!

This is a great shoe. All of the comfort you expect from a Birkenstock with the added bonus of a covered heel. They are a very important feature in the Midwest during the Winter. Now my feet can enjoy Berkies year round!

Not high fashion by any means, but these are super-comfortable, go-with-anything shoes. I often wear these when I have lots of walking to do, or don't want my sandals to get wet in rain or wet soil. I wear them barefoot or with really thin socks. I am a 10 to 10.5 medium in most shoes and ordered a 41, my usual sandal Birkie size. For thicker socks, I would have ordered a 42. By the way, Birkies tend to run wide, so I ordered a narrow and I still had good room, but not too much.

I am consistently a size 8, so ordered a 39. It was much to big in all respects. I exchanged the 39R for a 38N. I had such high hopes for this shoe, but sadly the strap did not contour properly to my foot and dug in at the top of the strap. I hate returning to Zappos, because they provide such exemplary service that I want them to profit.

I had to return these, though I really liked the color (grey) and style, because my feet are not shaped like Birkenstock's footbeds - my third and fourth toes are almost as long as my big toe and second toe. Because the Birkenstock footbed slants so much, my third and fourth toes hit the raised front rim and were very uncomfortable. I wear 11½N (usually 43 in European sizes) so I tried the 42, which was described as 11-11½. I would have exchanged these for a 43, but they do not seem to come in that size. Otherwise, I was pleased with the narrow width and felt there was adequate height in the front of the shoes, something at least one reviewer complained about. After I tried them on, I remembered why I had stopped wearing Birkenstocks 30 years ago.

Nice looking shoe but way too short...all my other Birkenstocks are size 36 though with no problem. Also the back of the heel is rather high and began to rub my heel at ankle height immediately upon putting the shoe on.

I'm a veteran to Birkenstock, so I generally don't have to think about what size to order. However, with a closed heel shoe, I'd advise to order a size up. I generally wear 38N but when my toes squish in the front and cannot spread out. A 39N is slightly looser than I'd like but I have the right toe spread. Also, I suppose since I bought this for the winter, I can also pair with socks (though I'm not a huge fan of wearing socks but at least I have the option). I generally would give a shoe like this full stars, but the leather is pretty stiff, so it's rubbing a little painfully until I can soften the leather around my ankles. The front lip and the back heel both have given me some red spots around my foot. No complaints about the footbed, like always, Birks offer good support. I ordered the iron oiled leather, which I always prefer over a black or brown. I also don't like suede because of color transfer from jeans, so I'm pretty happy with the color. Looks great with some black tights or dark jeans. It's not the hippest pair of shoes, but I am on my feet a lot as a teacher so style isn't as important to me.

This shoe fits true to foot length, I am a size 40 EU, 9 US. I have a normal to narrow width and chose the narrow, which is still plenty wide. The shoe needs to be worn in, bit stiff, but overall I am really happy with the fit and comfort.

I wear a 10-10.5 M/B shoe and have a pair of size 41R Arizona sandals which fit well, if not a little on the large side. I ordered the 41N and they feel a little tight in the toe box (and my toenails don't need trimming!). I don't think I could wear socks with these and may send them back for a 42N. I also ordered a 41R, but it's just too wide (same tightness in the toe box). This is my first experience with the enclosed Birkies, so maybe I just need one size up if I'm planning to wear them with socks during the winter. Barefoot, these are a great fit and are pretty much what I expected in comfort.

The most comfortable I have ever had. They never hurt your feet, even after walking 10 miles in NYC. They are not the cutest, but they are very well built, basic thick leather and birk soul. I have wide feet so these fit me well.

I'm a young teacher and have eventually reached the point where I can't wear my little ballet flats anymore since I stand all day long. I needed shoes with major support since I have completely flat feet. I have tried many brands, including sneakers, and these are the best. I am not that crazy about how they look/style but it's worth it considering how much better my feet, legs, and back feel! I like the closed shoe as clogs tend to make me walk a little funny, even with the back ankle strap. This shoe keeps my gait and movement normal. I will probably order these again next year!

These are very feminine, cute Birkenstocks. As a large footed, lady I was excited that they came in the 42 that I always order my unisex Birks in (Boston, Arizona...the staples). I am not sure if it is because these are designated as "Women's" shoes or because of having a closed back, but these run much smaller than my other Birkes. For the few moments I was able to Cinderella my feet into them, they were very comfy and super stylish (which is not usually a word one uses when describing Birkenstocks). Due to my unwillingness to cut off my big toes, these will be sent back. Sad face.

I ordered these shoes in the same size I wear in their sandals (37N). The fit was accurate. These were by far cuter (less bulky) than their other shoe styles when paired with jeans or casual slacks. The leather does seem a bit stiff and I am not sure how it will 'break in.' For me, the right shoe rubbed on the inside of my upper foot, the cut of the leather across the inside is too high for my foot shape. I really really liked the 'feminine' cut of the mary jane style on the top of the foot and am sad to have to return them.

Great fall/winter shoe to be expected of Birkenstock. Not the most fashionable, but not hideous either. I have wide feet and bunions and these were super comfortable. I prefer the regular Birkenstock footbed, but the soft is nice and cushiony.

As someone who is on her feet all day long at work, the soft footbed is a big improvement over the old Birkenstock footbed. I just wish the new footbed came in more styles; I would definitely buy more Birks for my job. The only drawback...the color of the shoes I purchased was a lot lighter brown than in the photo. I would like them more if they were darker.

Well, they may not be sexy, but they are very comfortable. They took one wearing to break in (the back rubbed my feet strangely), but now are better. The color is good for cold weather and they look cute with jeans. Unless you live in a really cold state, you may not need socks with these. They fit better without them anyway.

I love the syle and they fit well. The strap on the left shoe stretched so much I've had to move the buckle twice. Very expensive, I suppose because they're a new style. I was having nerve pain in my toes and wanted a wider cute shoe. The only reason I paid so much. Not sure I like the soft footbed...it doesn't have much for arch support.

I want to say that these shoes are perfect because they are the most comfortable ever (that is true!) and because my feet are always happy when I wear them (also true). However, I got them for my work as a cook and the soles are already falling off after two months. I am not hard on my things at all, so this is a shocker. I hope that I can find the right type of glue at a shoe repair shop.

The cross strap to the buckle on the Paris style was too short for my high instep...had it not been, I may have kept these shoes...too much medial shoe box...my "big toe" doesn't need That Much room! I don't like shoes that make my feet appear bigger than necessary. "Necessary" is when my plantar fasciitis flares up. Grateful for Birkenstocks.

Cross strap too short to buckle. I have a high instep. Didn't like the color very much. In general, I do not find Birkenstocks attractive, but wear them because, health wise, they are better for my feet.

I read the reviews and hoped this would work for my narrow foot. No go. I had to choose the last hole for the buckle and then the top pulled over too far giving the foot a very deformed look. So disappointed.
