Zappos is amazing. I tried to find these boots at numerous stores and could not. I called Zappos and the customer service representative upgraded my shipping to next day delivery just in time for the huge thunderstorm. I love these boots. They are very comfortable and they come all the way up to my knee. They are so shiny and I get compliments on the color all the time!

I love Hunters but the Glossies are the best! Shiny from the minute you take them out of the box to the moment you return home after sloshing through the rain! I felt they ran a little small - I'd recommend ordering a couple pairs, to test them out - returning shipping is free!

Love these Hunter boots. They are very comfortable and have had days when they have stayed on for hours.

I live in NYC/Manhattan and for a long time I wanted some boots that I could wear to slosh fearlessly through those giant puddles that accumulate at the intersections when it snows/rains really hard, but I also wanted ones that were at least semi-stylish and not like the "duck boots" I used to wear in college in New England. I read the reviews of these Hunter gloss wellies on Zappos and managed to try them on for size at my local store (which didn't carry the variety of colors) before buying them on-line. I usually wear a 6.5 US, have a slightly wide foot, rather flat feet, and don't always find the "size up/down" recommendations true for me for all shoes. I was also a little wary of other reviewer's comments that the shaft of the boot was too narrow/wide and too tall and dug into their knees if one were on the shorter side (I am 5' 3"). I eventually ordered the Gloss Black in Size 6.0 US and I am pleased to say that I am THRILLED with them! My calf circumference is 13 1\/2" and as a former soccer player, I usually find boots make my legs look chunky, but these actually make them look normal, if not somewhat slim (somewhat). The Gloss Black looks wonderfully like black patent leather and while they are of course utilitarian boots, with knee-length or shorter skirts (with tights in cold weather) they look adorable. I personally don't like the tucked-in-jeans-into boots look on me, but if I did want that I would go for a skinny jean. I also purchased a pair of the fleece socks for winter and they make the boots fit snug and cozy but not tight. I find myself actually looking forward to inclement weather just so I can wear these!

I have been shopping for these boots forever! I would decide I am getting a pair shop real hard for them then change my mind and decide to wait then look again. OK, you get the picture! They came pretty fast! I had done enough research I knew to go try them on to make sure I had the right size because of all of the reviews. Thank for the reviews! I got them last night and I wore them to cook dinner. I wore them during dinner and during desert. I asked my boyfriend if I could fill the bathtub up and try them out and he wouldn't let me! Fortunately enough for me it rained this morning so I got to try them out! I love them and this was my first time ordering from Zappos. I would highly recommend them (both the boots and Zappos)! I love them! Oh, the sizing. I have small feet normally I wear a size 5 1/2 to 6 so ordered a 5 which worked out perfect. I do not have the welly sock yet, but wore them today with Chaneile socks and they fit fine so I am thinking there won't be a problem once it gets cold again.

I love these boots. I am a size 9 and the size 40 fits perfectly in these boots. Love the quality of Hunter boots and the Original with the gloss makes them a little dressier.... they work great in the rain and look good over jeans, with dresses, and even shorts. \r\n\r\nAlso, the gloss boot has a slightly wider opening at the top of the boot than the original without gloss and is easier to get over jeans.

I'm glad I listened to all the other reviewers and went a size lower. I normally wear a size 6.5 to 7 and went with a size 6, it fits perfectly with thick socks. The color is more pinkish purple than a deep violet, but it is still a great color.

I love my Hunter wellies SO MUCH! They are perfectly made and fit so well. Wonderfully designed. Extremely comfortable. I've never tried the official Hunter socks for these boots, but any sock will do...especially a nice tall wool one for the chilly months. These are great w/ jeans!

There was a lot of differing opinion about sizing of the Hunter boot - it ran large for some, small for others. I ordered by my European size, 39. I normally wear an 8 1/2, was hesitating between 8 and 9, and ordered the 8, which was size 39, and it fits fine. As to the calf size, I have average to slim calves and can wear jeans inside the boot. The most comfortable fit will be with thick socks, when it gets cold again. I might be adding a thin insole.

A little under one year ago I decided that I HAD to have a pair of shiny black Hunter boots, because my commute had changed and I did not even own a proper pair of rain boots. They could not be just any rain boot or any color. They had to be Hunter, shiny black, size 7. Zappos is number one in customer service. Their knowledgeable staff is courteous and precise. How can one go wrong with free shipping both ways? Why buy anywhere else? Thank you, Zappos!

Perfect boots! Well worth the investment. The color is a bit more teal than turquoise, but I still like it. You'll never get a blister with these well crafted boots!

I wear size 8 in open toe shoes size 8.5 in closed toe. I ordered a size 8 and it fits good. It doesn't get super cold in Texas so a regular sock is fine for me. Love the boot

Simply put, they are the best rainboots ever. They are so comfy (a little bit, go down a 1/2 size) and they look great with tights, skinny jeans, everything.

Bought these to replace my recently purchased Lava colored ones that daughter instantly claimed when she saw. We both love our boots! Tall, shiny, and fun, all while being functional and comfortable.

I think these boots are amazing! I have yet to wear them outside but can't wait for it to rain! I should order a half size down if you wear half sizes. I order the turquoise one and I think it is very true to the color of the image and I just love it! I'm very happy with Zappos because they upgraded my shipping order and got them sooner then expected. Overall a wonderful experience.

Definitely go with a size smaller. I normally wear a 9.5-10 and went with the 9... perfect fit! Great boot and I can’t wait for it to rain and for the snow to come next season. They’re so comfy, I wear them all day, not just while I’m trekking through the rain and snow.

I think it is very useful item in these days. I usually wear size 7 or 7.5, the Hunter boots US size 7 fits to me.

Beautiful and functional! Zappos shipped these the day I ordered them and they got here within days. I ordered the glossy turquoise ones and I love the color- they stand out but are still classy. I normally wear a size 8 and ordered a size 8. They are plenty roomy to wear thick socks and tuck your pants down in- but not too big. I think ordering a 7 would have been too small. I can tell these are good quality and I will have them forever. Now I just have to wait for it to rain!

These are the second pair of Hunters that I have purchased and oddly these fit better than my original pair. I love the green color and the shine. I wear a size 6.5 or 7 shoe and the 6 fits perfectly with a thick sock. I tried the 5 and it was way too small. I wore them yesterday to puddle jump with my 2 year old and received many compliments. Perfect spring color and April showers boot.

I wear a solid 8.5. I ordered the Violet Gloss in women's US 8/UK 6. The color is beautiful, and the price is steep but it's less expensive than buying a cheaper, lesser quality pair every 2 years. If you'll just be wearing these in rain, with light or medium socks, and are a half size, go down to the next whole size. If you will be trekking in the snow, and wearing extremely thick socks, or have wide feet, or your feet swell easily, and are a half size, you may want to go up to the next whole. I wear an 8.5 and ordered the women's US 8/UK 6 which fit just right, even with my Superfeet Berry insoles and light/medium socks. I tried on the US 9 in Nordstrom & it would require insoles and VERY thick socks to be comfortable. I'm 5'6" with a 30" inseam, and these hit (flatteringly) about 1.5-2" below my knee. I am pleased with my investment & look forward to jumping in glorious puddles for years to come.

These boots are definitely worth the money, for so many reasons! I was worried about the color (I bought khaki), but oh my goodness! They are so classy! They are extremely comfortable. I am 5'11", and they are a good height for me, but I could see them being fine if they were even taller. The shaft of the boot is a bit snug on my calf, but not too tight. I don't think they would fit correctly if the shaft was looser. I normally wear a 10.5 or 11, and the size 10s were great. I think I could wear some thicker socks without a problem. I don't feel like I need an insole or anything. Like I said, definitely worth the money! I highly recommend them.

These boots are adorable! I got the beige color and they go great with everything! Order these shoes your true size if you plan on wearing welly socks with them! I originally ordered a size 6 when I'm usually a 7 because I read the reviews and even tried them on in person and felt that the 6's were a better fit - big mistake! I wore them for a day and my toes were in so much pain! I recommend getting your true size even though it will be sort of roomy with regular socks. After slipping on some welly socks in the 7's- it fitted really nicely. I tried shoving my foot down with the welly fleece socks on, into the 6's and it was wayyy too snug. During the summer season I plan on using those Dr Scholl's shoe pads to make up for the extra bit of space - those things make boots more comfortable anyway and I won't be needing my fleece welly socks in the summer. =) Oh by the way, I am 5"0 and these talls one looks fine on me - they actually don't make me look super short like I expected them to. I needed these taller ones to trek in the snow when I'm up North. The calves area also fit fine and I even tuck in my skinny jeans into these. Hope this helps. Happy buying! Overall I'm very happy with these boots! They are sooo cute.

I love these boots. I have gotten more compliments on them. I can wear them with thick socks and they are warm for snow, or thinner socks for rain and mud. Love them. Love Zappos.

I loved the color of these boots and was excited to get them in the mail. However, I got concerned after reading reviews from other vertically challenged individuals, and, unfortunately, they were correct in saying that these boots were not for me. I am 5'1", and, no matter how badly I wished they would fit, they came up to mid-knee, and just looked silly. I hate to say it, but if you're shorter than 5'4", accept reality and go with the Hunter Original Short. You can't fight nature... even for a pair of cute boots.
