The first pair we received were defective, but due to Zappos unparalleled customer service, we were sent a nice pair. My daughter was ecstatic to open them on her birthday. Now we just need some rain so she can wear them!

Had a problem with the high gloss finish turning cloudy and dull. Zappos' sent out a new pair and paid for shipping return, no questions asked. Great doing business!

Three times a charm - it took me three orders to get the size right. Mainly because I read the reviews here and did the research online, and most people said they needed to size down a size or two. Well, I am 6½ or 7 in US (mainly 5 in UK) with regular width feet, and size 7 was the way to go for me (true fit). They fit just right to have either thin or thick sock in. Love the boots, I love the color (although I loved Pillar Box Red better, but no size in US 7). Finally a proud owner!

Finally broke down and ordered these lovely boots, however...the size 7 was too small. I have always heard to size down when it comes to these boots but they were just a little too snug, especially with the cable knit fleece socks. I am returning these and trying a size 8. Hopefully they work out!

Love these boots! Comfortable and keep my feet dry on those rainy days. I usually wear a 7.5, so I ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly!

I really haven't had the opportunity to wear these beautiful boots, it's been too dry! I've worn them around the house a little bit. After reading reviews, I did order a half size smaller than I normally wear and they fit perfect. They're not too tight around the calf. I'm 5' 7", 140 pounds and I can tuck a pair of pants in the boots. I love the bright red shiny look of them and can't wait to splash around in puddles!

FANTASTIC! I love these boots and the HUNTER Brand is a great one to own! Handmade and very balanced, the HUNTER boot fits any outfit I put them with! Worth the money and great style!

This is a great long review, but it is worth the read. For a long time, I wanted a pair of boots that would last from quality. When I took a look at the price of Hunter boots, I was skeptical of buying them and told myself, "these boots must really be that good." Trust me on this one, they are, and they feel amazing on me! I ordered a pair in the military red original gloss. For those who want to know the true color, I have three words for you: fire truck red or stop sign red, but glossy. I also wanted the measurements to comfortably fit me. I ordered a size 11, and they fit great with a thick pair of socks. My foot size is a 10½ in men's. A 10 is too small for me since the boots are a pain to take off at the end of the day, and a size 11 is a tad bit larger but really works for me with about 1/2 an inch of toe room. That sounds like a lot of room, but are more cozy with thick socks. And the circumference feels great on my calf muscles. The boots don't feel too tight or loose against them; they feel just right. I do not usually mention names on reviews, but I have to give a huge shout out to Ashley Drew in customer service! She was incredibly helpful and reassured me that military red gloss is a very bold color and eye appealing for guys to wear. She also told me tons of guys wear women's Hunters in many colors. So for all the guys out there wanting to wear glossy Hunters but will not from a small fear of doing so, be creative and wear them for you. I also have a pair of gray graphite gloss Hunters, and I get compliments on wearing them a lot. I could go on, but I will stop for now. All in all, this was an amazing, feel good, look good purchase. I can't wait to wear these in the public eye and see how eye appealing they really are. Thank you so much Zappos for the pair of boots that I have always wanted!

Like many others, I had been wanting Hunter Boots for a while but what color? Gloss or no gloss? Original tall, tour, or adjustable? I was most worried about the sizing because several reviews commenting on calf sizing. Finally I took the plunge on the Original Tall in Navy Gloss hoping I wouldn't have to return them and I wont and they fit like a glove! Hopefully this info will help others who are on the fence like I was: I'm a 9.5 in pumps and sneakers but tend to be a 9 in whole-size boots like Uggs, Sorels, and now Hunters. I'm an athletic 5'6" and 135#. I wear pants sizes Gap 27, Loft & J Crew 2. The widest point of my calf measures in at 14.5". The boots fit comfortable with a thick pair of socks and jeans. I haven't tried with boot liners but it felt like there was still enough room to comfortable wear those too.

Love these boots! Very versatile color and style. I personally wear a 9 and the 9 is tight with thick socks to get into and get off. However, that being said they are very comfy once I got them on. I sent the 8's back. Way to tight.

Great boots! My second pair (first pair worked hard for 10+ years) seems slightly more streamlined and comfortably accommodates my inserts. Plan to use like my first pair for rain, mud, casual wear as well as lite work in the stable. I wear a 7-7.5 in most shoes. Purchased the Hunter 8 and am pleased with the fit. I love these boots! I am a size 7 and ordered 7 even though there were some recommendations to order smaller. The size 7 fits perfectly.

I absolutely love these boots! I wear a size 8.5 - 9 (depending upon the shoe) so based on all of the reviews saying that the sizes ran big I got an 8. Nope! I could get them on, but they were almost impossible to get off again and were tight against my calf. I sent them back and got the 9 and they are absolutely perfect. My kids play soccer so these will be great for those days out on the soccer field this Spring. I look for any excuse to wear them. Love these!

I wanted a pair of rubber boots that I knew would last. Hunter boots are made well and are comfortable. They are not warm in a snowstorm but boot socks take care of that. I wear a 6½ and ordered a 6. Perfect fit.

I debated over glossy or matte and I'm so happy I went with glossy. These boots are so cute and go with everything! Totally worth the money! Definitely size down.

I don't know what it is about these boots, but I found them kind of uncomfortable. I am returning them. It may be that the higher heel coupled with the very flexible arch are the reason. They are cute though.

I absolutely love these boots. I had originally ordered the Hunter Tour, which was just a wee bit tight. These are perfect for wearing with jeans and pants that are slightly thicker than leggings. The color is gorgeous, and a great option from standard black (and in my case, red). I am looking forward to wearing them in the next rain!

I have 14.5" calves and really wanted a pair of Hunter boots. Originally I ordered the Godess because I was worried about them fitting my calves. The Godess were too large overall. I then purchased the original gloss in a size smaller based on the other reviews. I am a size 8. After receiving the size 7 boots, I realized they were too small so I ordered the size 8. I have no trouble wearing them with skinny jeans or leggings. Luckily Zappos exchange policy is unparalleled and after my 2nd exchange, the 3rd pair fits beautifully and I love my boots!

Love them! I had to go a size up from my normal size but overall they are awesome!

Love these boots! I live in Maine and we get snow and cold temperatures! These boots are great for the snowy and slushy weather and keep my feet somewhat warm! However I would not wear them if it's very cold outside and you have to be out for a long period of time. They do run tight at the calf.

I love Hunter boots! This was my second pair. They fit a little big. So always in buying Hunters, but a half size smaller than what you are. I am a 7½ and buy 7. They fit perfectly. They are so easy to clean. And I have gotten so many compliments on the red! You can see me coming for a half mile away. I love Hunters in the fall and winter and spring. You can really wear them year round. These are a must buy. And also buying from Zappos makes it so much easier. I always buy my Hunters on Zappos.

Shout out to Zappos. My boots had excessive blooming and they replaced them. I love my Hunter boots. They are perfect for chasing my boys in the rain or walking the streets of Paris while on vacation.

I love Hunter boots! I have 3 pr now and have found that the original gloss seems to fit the best for me (i'm a size 10 and have relatively wide feet. I got a pair of the regular more matte type and they seemed to fit smaller than the gloss. They're fine with either a boot sock or thin socks; either one feels good, but if it's cold, better with boot socks. The graphite is a nice grey color and looks good with a lot of things. I also got the Military Red, which is a true, darker red. I was debating between that and the Pillar Box red but once I received them, found that the Military red was exactly the color I wanted. I also want to say that I'd ordered the red boots one day before 1pm PDT and rec'd the boots the next morning. Unfortunately, they were the wrong boot; so I called customer service at around 4:30 that same day (a Tuesday) PDT to let them know that I wanted to exchange them for the gloss boots and even though they told me I wouldn't receive them until Thursday since I was calling after 1 PM, the correct boots were on my doorstep at 10:30 Wednesday morning! I hadn't even sent the wrong boots back yet! I am amazed by their customer service and have always been happy with my purchases.

I love these! My daughter has a pair and I loved them. Because they run a little big, I sized down half a size. They are a classic and I will wear them for a long time.
