I just got my new boots and wearing them for the first time today, over my skinny jeans. It was not super-easy to get them on over the jeans (because they have a funny/pinching back heel) but a little effort and I made it work. I am 5'2 and about 115 pounds with average/muscular calves, and they fit my calves pretty perfectly. I usually wear a 6.5, but I got these in a 6 and I am happy with them. The color is at least one shade lighter in person than on here, which was good for me because I was looking to match other light tan leather pieces. The leather looks like real leather, not too cheap-looking like I was worried about. That funny pinching heel I mentioned is also now irritating both heels, but I hope that will break in and be more comfortable after a few wears. I am not used to flat heels and these are so flat I am having a hard time getting used to it! Overall, good for the price, but a little awkward.

Like other reviews I read, I was aware that the calves fit really snug. I ended up getting a size larger, thank goodness I did.. It fits perfectly! If you have big calves, I would recommended getting another size up!

I love them! I can wear them to work dressed casual or dressy. Definitely a must have!

Wasn\'t sure if this was a good buy based on previous reveiws. I wanted a boot that was sylish, good in the rain and comfortable and it met all my requirements. Previous reviews indicated the calf area was small, don\'t agree, since they are slouch boots found them spacious in that area. Comfort, I rate them a 7, not the most comfortable boot in my closet but yet you won\'t have any issues. Found them a little bigger but just wore thicker socks and they were perfect. My overall rating is a 7 from a scale of 1 to 10.

I like the boots a lot! I have a small/medium calf and I wear these boots with jeans underneath and they are just comfortable. If you have medium to big calves, I do not recommend these! The foot area is very roomy, I think that maybe even a little too roomy. It doesn’t have an arch, almost at all, so I put a sole that I bought and now, it’s great. Very comfy.

These boots fit true to size, but the sole is pretty thin, so they'll wear out soon. Ok quality, but super cute!

I love these boots. They are a little tight on the calf and sometimes the heel makes it hard to slip them on. But they look great and are comfortable to walk around in. They are a light brown so scratches show up pretty easily.

These boots are a very versatile style and a great color. They are to be worn slightly slouched and look great with skirts or pants.

I am a tough critic, and I like the boots OK. They are a little less than I expected but not because of the way they look but the way they fit. I think that the heel is definately loose and kinda bothers me. I do have muscular calfs and they fit just fine but not with jeans. I can't tell if they are slightly big or if that's the way they fit. After walking around for a bit I decided to keep the size I bought because I wasn't sure if the smaller size would be too small and didn't want to risk having to return them again. I am going to keep these boots. I give these boots a B-.

I went down a size based on previous reviews and were fine. They look great with skinny jeans. Only complaint would be they look a little shiny.

Had to return these because I couldn't pull them up over my calf muscle. The foot area was also bordering on too roomy.

I normally wear, woman size 8. I first ordered grey pair of Brio (size: 9), and it turned out that I did not like the shiny (vinyl like) surface of grey leather. When I reordered cognac pair (size: 9), I was pleased with the color without resulting leather shiny. I exchanged to size 8.5 of cognac because I realized that I had more than enough space to wear thick socks with this boots. When I received the pair, I was a happy camper. And, I would also like to add one comment here that Zappos crew had provided me a great customer service when I got a problem receiving the shipment of this merchandise. Thank you, Zappos! Keep up with the good job!

I purchased the Steve Madden Brio boots for my daughter for Christmas. When she first wore them in the house, they appeared a bit stiff, but quickly loosened and remained comfortable. They are true to size, wear well, and look more expensive than they are.

These boots weren't exactly the same color as the ones I saw online, but they're still cute. They're definitely true to size. Somewhat comfortable, but definitely stylish boots you can dress up or wear casually everyday. Although, the material is kind of funky. If you're expecting soft bendy material like leather, these aren't exactly what you're looking for.

I love the shoe, they are cute in person, but if you have bigger calves, they are not for you. I am still deciding on do I want to return them or just wear them with skirts.

Shipping time was fantastic! Nice boot, true to size, leather quality could be a little better but looks nice on.

I was so excited when I found these on Zappos. My boyfriend got them for me for Christmas. I was so disappointed when I got them. They run very small. I wear a 5, I ordered a 5.5 and I could not even get my foot in it. Once I got it on, I could not even pull up the boot at all. The calf is so small. I usually have a problem with the calf on boots being small, but this was the worst that I have ever seen. I like them so much, I might order a bigger size and have them fixed so I can pull them up.

These boots are really cute and I loved the light brown color, but like the other reviews of this boot, the calf part had no give to it and barely fit on my normal-sized calves, and they would definitely not fit over leggings or skinny jeans. I had to return them.

I was very disappointed with this boot. I have pretty skinny calves, and I could barely get the boot up my leg. I didn't even attempt skinny jeans! It was just ridiculous because the actual shoe was a little too roomy, but the very top was so tight. Maybe they should add some elastic or something. I was hoping to wear these with skinny jeans and skirts, but I'm just returning them. Please be warned, very tight on the calves! Even on skinny calves!
