Okay, here's the scoop on these boots. I read all the previous reviews on the boots before I bought them, and I just got them on Sunday. They are a lovely color, I got them in black. They are shiny and patent-looking and are a rougher looking leather. They remind me a bit of rain boots, but they're still adorable. However, they are a bit large in the ankles, but that is easily remedied by wearing thick socks (which is advisable in the winter anyways and prevents smelly shoes). They are not too narrow in the foot, they fit my foot size just right (I ordered a 9.5, it's what I normally wear anyways and Steve Madden doesn't differ). The heel hikes up a bit, but they just might fit me differently, but this is again remedied by wearing thick socks. They fit into my skinny jeans just fine, but my calves are too thick to pull them up all the way, but they look slouchy and cute that way, too. I could wear them without jeans and probably get them up all the way. All in all, I loved this purchase and I plan on wearing them a lot! Wore them for the first time today, and my feet didn't get sore or get blisters or anything. The leather is nice and tough too, compared to thin cloth suede boots. I say purchase these.

Bought these as a gift for my daughter. She absolutely loves them and I love ordering from Zappos. Easy ordering online. The boots arrived much sooner than I anticipated.

These Steven Madden boots are great! The shaft of the boot has a layer of insulation and they are very warm in cold weather. I live in a place with a lot of rainy weather and these keep my feet dry, they are very waterproof. The foot bed is very flat, without much cushion, however I put in some insoles and they are very comfortable now. Overall, I am very satisfied with these boots, they are fashionable and fun as well as practical, keeping your feet warm and dry!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She loves them. I read some of the other reviews and don\'t know how they will stand up in the rain, however, they look great. Neither did my daughter or I see any flaws in the boot contruction but we didn\'t go over each seam with a fine toothed comb as others may have. I can\'t comment on the arch support or the widness of the shoe. My daughter says the fit was "fine".

I love these boots! They are super cute and comfortable. My sister and I both have these boot and very small to small calves. They boots fit us perfectly. If my calves were any larger they would not fit. So, word to the wise, those with small calves who can never find boots. These are it. If your calves are larger, then these boots won't work for you.

Love these boots! They go great with so many things, I get compliments all the time. Super comfy. I have a feeling they may need some waterproofing to endure a Boston winter, have yet to find that out yet, though. Good value and great service from Zappos as usual!

These boots, to put it simply, absolutely rule. They're large enough inside to fit my foot and my insoles, so my feet and knees feel great even after hours of walking around in them. They keep me warm on cold days and don't get super sweaty on warm days. Once I wore them on a wet day and thought for certain that the toes were water stained for good, but they dried out and no one would ever know that I walked on wet sidewalks with them on. They don't quite fit over my calves when I wear pants, but because they're a slouch fit I can wear them a little lower and they still look really good. I highly recommend these!

I bought these for my daughter for her 18th birthday. She was looking for a flat, grey leather boot to match her grey, leather coat. She absolutely loves them and said they are perfect. We are happy with the look and quality of the leather and she also said they are very comfortable to walk around in all day.

Very cute, stylish boot. I have big calves, and the boot was very snug at first, but after wearing them twice with a skirt I can tuck in leggings or skinny jeans with no problem. They are a good height as well since I am 5'3". The leather is not the highest quality, but for the price you can't beat it.

Really cute boots. I found these boots at a store in NYC. I had tried on every other similar shoe in the store and didn't like any of them, so I finally decided this would be the last pair I tried on before leaving. They were perfect! I got them in the cognac color, which is a nice, deep tan. It's a nicer color than the picture depicts. They're pretty comfortable as well. I received a compliment about them only minutes after being out! They look great with skinny jeans, leggings, and skirts. Love 'em! (And by the way, this price is a great deal.)
