The original - great for costumes or just reminiscing. Fits narrow at the toe, and a bit long, so you can take a half size down, if your foot is narrow enough.

I've been looking for a good quality saddle shoe (no Payless junk) for years. I hate buying clothes online, especially shoes, because my feet are flat, narrow and have a low instep, but with the return policy Zappos has I couldn't pass this up. The shoe (8N) fit like a glove. I love how they feel and how they look. I'm seriously considering getting another pair to hold onto for later after these wear out because I plan on wearing then a lot and don't want to go for years without my favorite shoe.

Wearing these is traveling back in time to high school! They are very comfortable with a generous toe box and as comfortable as running shoes with a bit more panache.

I never thought I would receive so many compliments going retro as I did with this shoe! I wore them with a blazer and slacks and received so many compliments! I have started a trend at my office. Very yuppie chic.

Great pair of shoes. I work as a doctor in a prison hospital. I need shoes that look professional, are comfortable, and can withstand blood and/or pepper spray. These do. Wore them out of the box without socks for 12 hours straight, no problem. Got lots of compliments too. I wear them on the weekend with jeans too. Love.

While watching "Twin Peaks" and coveting femme fatale Audrey's saddle shoes, I was relieved to learn that Bass still makes these high-quality, timeless shoes. They are comfortable and hardy (only after 6 months of wear do I need to get some white shoe polish). Though they look great with Audrey-esque skirts and dresses, I find them especially fetching with slim black trousers. Every woman I work with has complimented me, then told me a story of her own saddle shoe experience. I normally wear a 9.5 but needed these in a 10.

This was my first order from Zappos and will not be my last! I took these wonderful new shoes out of the box and wore them immediately. They feel as if I am walking in my stocking feet, so relaxing and comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box. The Bass Enfield is truly a great shoe and since I have been wearing them, I have gotten many compliments on my cute shoes. They are very comfortable and I really like the fit. The sole and insole are comfortable also. Zappos handled my order in a very excellent manner with fast handling of my order. I truly am very glad I chose to order my Bass Enfields from Zappos.com.

I have worn Bass shoes since I was in high school (over 45 years). Always the same quality...excellent! I am disappointed that Bass moved their operations out of the U.S. to Puerto Rico.

These are classic saddle shoes and very well made. I bought them as sturdy walking shoes but especially as part of my costume for a 50s company party. They were a big hit! I've worn them since and will enjoy them for years. I have narrow feet and found I needed to wear double socks or thick socks (bobby socks) to make them fit best.

Beautiful shoes. I would be better with a 6W. A bit too long and gapped on the side when I walked. My feet are picky and I have to try everything on. I own shoes from 5 1/2 to 7 but 6 or 6 1/2 is my size not usually wide. Probably would street but didn't want to take that chance.

It is extremely hard to find a shoe that has enough room on top for your toes to move. This shoe is great. A little out of my style at 74 years old, but I may start a new fashion. Very good shoe.

I like the shoes, but they are too wide. I need a 7.5 SLIM. I will take any color combination but would prefer the blue shoe with a burgundy sort of color where the laces are. 2nd choice would e the Enfield. Can you exchange it for me?

Golly gee! I love these. I wore them in high school in the 60's, and had forgotten how comfortable they are. Plenty wide toe box. Super cute with hand knit socks and rolled up pant legs. Everybody is asking where I found them. Zappos better stock up!

I love these shoes! I saw the box sitting on my door step as I was leaving for work so I grabbed the box and put them on at work. I wore them all day. They were very comfortable. I now wear them with jeans and at least once a week to work. I wore oxfords when I was a kid and I love wearing them now as an adult. Brings back memories.

I find this shoe to be attractive (it receives many compliments) and fairly comfortable. It ran a half-size too large for me. I notified Zappos of this fact and they had the smaller sized shoe in the mail before I had the initial pair in a box to be returned!

The Bass Enfield shoes is great for both work and casual outfits. It does run a bit long so order a half size down to get a better fit. I ordered the narrow size and I finally have a pair of shoes that my feet don't slide around in.

Very comfortable and easy to break in-leather is softer than some others I have tried.

Recently, I ordered two pairs of the Bass Enfield shoes. I am so impressed because they are not only so comfortable (very soft cushioned insole), but they also conform to thick socks. I had been wearing a different brand, but by the end of the day my feet would be hurting tremendously! I had been trying to locate the Bass shoes for several years at other retailers. I love the different colors and this style can easily be worn with jeans or dressy casual slacks. I have received so many compliments and people often ask me where to purchase them. The best part about ordering from Zappos is the free shipping of course! What amazed me the most is the timely arrival of my shoes, within three days! That is less time than many of the online and TV shopping networks! Zappos, you rock!

These shoes are perfect for standing and walking. I rarely, if ever, take a seat while teaching. These shoes cause me no discomfort. I didn't think they'd be so cushion-y. I'm thinking about getting another pair.
