I ordered these, Earth Invent, Privo Wheatgrass, and the J-41 stream. My goal: cute boots, easy to get on, warm, waterproof. I wanted to walk the dog in comfort, but run out to shop in cute boots. These are OK looking, but as indicated, narrow on the calf and the buttons don't offer much flexibility. The foot is comfy and true to size (for boots I always go a 1/2 size up). If you have narrow calves, go for it. Otherwise, keep looking.

I love Merrell's and have always had good luck with them. I really like the look of these boots but found them extremely difficult to get on and off and so I am returning them.

These boots are really cute, moccasin-like without being too costume-y and quite cushy. However, they're kind of hard to get on and off, as they're tallish and have no zipper. You can undo the buttons and expand the shank a little, but there's still a fair bit of pulling involved, even with thin socks. This makes it tough to get them over your pant leg, too. One thing that surprised me is that the loops around the buttons are a very light blue-gray suede, so they don't stretch. Instead the buttons are attached with elastic bands, so instead of stretching the loop around the button I worked the button through the loop. Not a huge deal, but not what I expected. It's probably for durability, so that the loops don't get stretched out.

So far I'm pretty happy with purchase; I haven't used them too much yet. The snow season is just getting here. They are simple and stylish yet sturdy and durable enough for a variety of winter activities. I'd like them to have more arch support and to fit snugger in the ankle, but I guess that's what you get for the convenience of a slip on.
