These boots are great! I got a pair for my daughter and a pair for myself for a trip to Colorado and we both loved them. We both wore our true size and they are extremely comfortable, warm, and stylish enough my 19 year old daughter thought they were cute! We wore in the snow and definitely waterproof.

I love these boots. They are so comfortable. They come in my difficult to find size 10.5. They are warm without making my feet sweat, which is another difficult to find combination. I love them! I like wearing them with skirts, knee-high socks, tights, and skinny jeans. They feel like I'm wearing a sneaker so I ride a bike in them, too. Did I say I love these? They also don't make my huge feet look huge.

These are nice-looking, very warm boots with good traction (from trying them on -- haven't worn them out yet). Insulation is a must here in the North. Only thing is that these run a bit small. I just got sized as an 8, so I ordered half a size up in 8 1/2 (since this is usually a good practice with winter boots). They fit but weren't easy to get on or off and wouldn't work well with thick socks, so I will order a size 9.

I wanted to love these boots but unfortunately it was not meant to be. Merrell has a really bad habit of putting in too much arch support for me in about half of their shoes. The arch hit me all wrong in one of the boots and the other boot's arch was slightly annoying. I had to send them back. I have 2 other pairs of Merrell boots I love and they have slight or no arches (I have normal arched feet). These babies must assume you have really high arches. I wouldn't recommend these if you have wide calves. I have skinny chicken legs and they had just enough room to tuck in my jeans without feeling tight.

The fit worked out well. I wear 8 1/2 shoe and 9 in boots. Looks is good and can be worn with jeans or my work slacks. I wish the inside had a bit more cushion. I've had a hard time fastening the buttons on the side (don't know if it's because it's new or what) so I slip on and off without the buttons being open.

I love my new boots! They're warm and comfy and the foot fits perfectly. My only slight issue is that it's difficult to fasten the buttons, particularly if I have my jeans tucked into the boots.

I purchased both these boots and the Encore Peak because I couldn't choose between the two based on the descriptions/photos. These are the pair I decided to keep and am pleased with my choice. Both boots slip on and off easily, but the Yarra is a more feminine style and has better arch support. As others have observed, the buttons on the side are more decorative than functional, so don't bother trying to unfasten them. I realize we are all built differently, but I find these boots very easy to pull on and off. I also like that the tread is much spikier than the Encore Peak, so I imagine they will perform better on slick surfaces. I ordered half a size up and they fit fine with both thick and thin socks. My only reservation is that there is a slight gap between where the 2 flaps of suede overlap that is covered on the inside by a thin piece of nylon. Water or snow would have to be pretty sneaky to get in there, but if one were to step in a deep puddle, there may be some leakage (though as with any pair of nice suede boots, you'd probably do your best to avoid that anyway. Otherwise, I love these boots!

These are comfy, warm and supportive. They have performed well over the months that I have had them, though there has not been any major bad weather. I did need to break them in over about 3 shorter wearing before feeling comfortable walking long distances/wearing all day. They fit really well. I ordered slightly large and they feel true to size. Good arch support. Cute as winter weather boots can be. One complaint: it's hard to close the buttons once the boot is on your foot. Better to just pull them on than to unbutton but a foot injury makes that a bit tough for me right now.

This boot runs narrow. I ordered an 8 and it was too small, so I ordered an 8 1/2. This is better, but still tight across the toe box. Fortunately, my daughter has narrow feet and she thinks it is fine, but I thought they were too tight.

Ordered these boots in size 8 yesterday and got them today. Zappos is awesome! These boots look good and also are functional -- exactly what I was looking for. However, they are indeed extremely difficult to get on due to the narrow ankle part (unbuttoning won't help and even if it does, it is near impossible to button up after getting on), despite the fact that I already ordered half size up. Size feels just right if you can put your feet in. Hopefully they will become easier to get on with wear so I will keep them.

Overall this is a good winter boot. Definitely kept my feet dry in the 12 inches of snow! And I love the look. However, it's a little narrow in the ankle, but overall a good fit. Although not as warm as the shearling lined boots. Still a great purchase, and I am very happy with them.

I like this shoe but am returning it because it's a little pricey for what I want right now. It is VERY warm and generally comfortable, but, honestly, for the Western PA climate I live in it's almost too warm. I have a fully waterproof shoe already. I may regret this. I think it is a great looking shoe, too. I have been a long-time Merrell fan, and this shoe keeps me one, but I just don't need it right now, especially for the money.

Great boots, but for the price I was expecting a bit more. They are true to size, fairly comfy and warm, and good for rainy days (haven't tested them in the snow yet). The straps are a bit annoying, but you can easily slip the boots on and off without messing with them. I've noticed a few hot spots around my ankles, but nothing too bad.

These boots do the trick -- they kept my feet dry during the winter months. Are they pretty? No. But they are easy to put on and take off, and the sole is great! I am overall happy with my purchase. I just wish they were a little bit prettier.

Boots are very cute and felt comfortable. I wish they had fit. I don't know what's going on with the sizing for this boot, but I wear size 9 Merrell sandals but the size 10 and 9.5 Yarras were uncomfortably short at the toe. Width is narrow which is good for my skinny feet. Easy to get on and off without undoing toggles.

The Zappos representative was fabulous in trouble shooting the delivery of these boots! The boots are warm, but the wool is a little itchy so be sure that your socks are high enough to go beyond the wool. I have had other Merrell boots that don't feel or look like snow boots. These fit like snow boots and while comfortable, they are a bit bulky in the calf and difficult to get jeans over versus tucked in. They seem provide the support and comfort (in the foot bed) that you can count on from Merrell.

I am a size 9 1/2 and these boots were a 10 and fit perfectly. They are very comfortable from the beginning and really warm, which is good cause it is 8 degrees outside!

I am a teacher and bought these boots for warmth as I monitor the children on the playground. The boots look great, have great support but do not keep my feet warm at all. I have worn them with a variety of socks but my feet still get cold. I am disappointed...it is going to be a long winter.

Nice boot and not bulky but I could not button the side buttons with the boots on. Very impractical design as I wanted them for travel to replace my favorite UGGS. They look like them and are waterproof but the side buttons are very poorly designed.

My favorite thing about these boots is the traction. They have somewhat sticky-like grips on them that make me feel safe on the snow and ice. Unfortunately, I think the style of them is a little too moccasin-like. I didn't notice their style at home so much as when I was out and about, I just don't love them. They're warm and they'll do, but for the price, I want to love them.

This boot was very clunky compared to what the pictures show. Granted I wear a size 10, but I compared those to other winter boots in size 10 and 11 and these looked a lot bulkier and not very feminine. Too bad because the style with the buttons on the side would have been cute. I did not have problems getting this boot on my feet even without unfastening the buttons.

These boots were cute, but virtually impossible to fasten. The loops are made from leather and don't stretch. If they were elastic, it would have been a cinch. I had to send them back because I couldn't see struggling to fasten and un-fasten each time I wore them. Too bad. Very cute.

I usually wear a 9.5. I bought these boots in a 10 and cannot even get my foot in with a sock on. Very sad.
