It needs more cushioning in the insole. The leather was dry.

This is my first pair of Allen Edmonds. Overall I am satisfied. I feel like they are good quality in craftsmanship, but I will say I was disappointed that there was parts around where the upper is sewn to the sole that had been poorly trimmed. There was excess material hanging off. Not a lot, but, I wouldn't expect that. They are also breaking in pretty slowly.

I really enjoy the shoes. Only issue I had is with sizing. I wear a 11.5 but the shoe seems to be big on me. I take it they must run a half size larger. As a result I would strongly recommend customers order a half size smaller on this specific shoe.

This shoe fits well and is comfortable. Nice business shoe.

Obviously, this is a high quality shoe. I expect perfection from this brand, especially at the price point. My shoes came with what appeared to be a line drawn in pen on each toe just below the cap design. I'm assuming it must have been a guideline for sewing the toe cap design on. It's not a big deal, but again, I expected perfection from this great American brand. Other than that hiccup, they broke in wonderfully and look excellent.

Great classy look. B width is perfect for me. Comfortable wear even on those long days.

I got these for a great price on sale. The first pair had some issues with the leather and stitching, but my replacement pair looked great. My only issue with them is they are pretty narrow at mid-foot, and are the first shoe I've had that problem with. It's a little paradoxical because they aren't particularly "sleek" looking shoes. I've only worn them 5 or so times so hopefully they'll continue to break in in that regard. The brown burnished calf is a beautiful shade of brown.

Would strongly recommend working on the bowing and gapping that consistently appears in your footwear.

Returned and re-ordered this shoe because the quality was below expectations. Second pair was better but still not the usual Allen Edmonds quality (could still see the marking on the leather because the cap is misaligned. The color of the leather right next to the cap is lighter than the rest of the shoe)

I ordered these shoes in a size 12b. The shoes are sized true to fit. My largest complaint is that the soles are hard as rock! Some sort of padded insole would have been nice. I probably made a huge mistake in not buying the Cap Toe with the rubberized heel.

My first wearing gave me a small blister on my little toe. Next time I would order EE instead of E. Subsequent wearings did not bother me and did not rub on my original blister. I prefer a looser fit, so I would suggest getting one size wider.

I have ordered this shoe in both Cordovan and Tan to replace existing shoes of the same size and colors that had been recrafted several times. Both shoes are very tight - beyond that of the shoes they replaced when new or other AE shoes I've purchased. I thought they'd stretch out and become less stiff but they just haven't broken in in the 3 weeks I had them. I wish I'd ordered 12.5 or 13 instead of 12s and wide rather that regular. I will probably have to take them to a Cobler to get them stretched to wear them for any extended period of time.

I ordered the shoes in walnut. Color is darker than the other AE walnut shoes I have. Closer to a chili than walnut.

This shoe is built with quality and style. It will be a great addition to my many pairs of Allen Edmond shoes. Would'nt buy from anyone else. No break in time needed. Perfect fit for me. I would certainly recommend these to anyone looking for a shoe that goes with either dress or casual attire.

I've previously purchased the Lake Forest loafers in size 11.5 EEE. Great fit. However, I purchased the Fifth Avenue's in Dark Chili and they are a bit too snug around my instep (the top of my foot), causing slight pain. Funny thing is, when I first tried them on, they were great. The second and third time is when the pain in my instep started. Should I send these back even though I've worn them a few times?

I have purchased this shoe previously with the same width and this time it was tight when I first started wearing it. It has since been broken in and is a nice shoe like my previous versions, but I don't remember the tightness from my other previous purchases. I still recommend, but just FYI.

Good looking shoe made of high quality. Not a perfect fit but close enough considering my size and how hard it is to find shoes.

Great shoes as expected from AE. These are deep navy, the blue in the catalog is highlighted by the photograph light. I added the AE blue shoe laces and that helps accent the color. If my black shoes had the same sole as the navy, I could easily walk out of the house in the morning with one black and one navy shoe on and not know it.

Shoes are a great fit and comfortable so far. The leather creeks on one of the shoes but I'm expecting that to disappear after a few weeks of use. They look just as good as I'd expected. Will purchase more.

The darkened toe is trendy. I will keep them but prefer a uniform color.

Great looking shoes. My feet are a bit wider (E) and the length is not perfect for it. Still comfortable, and great quality as expected.

I just received them [walnut] today and I've got to say that I'm pretty impressed. They're beautiful shoes that I'll wear frequently. It's becoming a tradition of mine to buy a pair of AE every year during the Fall sale.

Love the build quality of this pair. The Fifth Ave naturally fits exactly like the Park Avenues. Now if AE would only move the cap line towards the heel a little bit, they'd both be perfect shoes~

They are a perfect fit. It was easy to determine the correct size and width for my husband since the shoes were a gift.
