The conservative styles of Allen Edmonds works well in all business and social settings. I am in my 50's and do not like to follow fickle fashion trends. I can comfortably wear the fifth avenue shoe in all settings and their statement is great looking, excellent quality, conservative shoes. In Seattle men check out each others shoes in business settings and often comment if they at Allen Edmonds. Clearly they mean something to a select group of men .

Along with the Park Avenue, this is the dress standard for traditional business attire. I have wide feet and I'm glad AE makes their well crafted shoes in my size. All my dress shoes are from AE: they're all well made, last forever (especially with recrafting) and, most of all, look great.

Having a narrow foot (12 AA), selecting shoes was always a compromise. The fit was never really right. For 50 years I told myself, " That is just the way it must be". Ten years ago when shopping for our daughters wedding, I learned of Allen Edmonds. My first pair (Park Avenue) actually fit me! How wonderful! I also purchased a pair of casual shoes (P/N 47213) which I wear regularly having re-crafted them twice over the past years. In the mean time I tried lesser expensive shoes that required a "short fit" to arrive at a (barely ) workable fit. Seeing that several major shoe brands were now made in China, I said, " No more", and ordered a pair of Fifth Avenue in just my size. They arrived today and fit perfectly. These are shoes that I can wear and feel comfortable in all day. Thank You Allen Edmonds for shoes that fit, and for a product that provides excellent value! I am both a very satisfied customer, and pleased to support products of value that are Made in America. Thanks!

I picked up a pair of Fifth Avenue's in Walnut. They are absolutely beautiful and are by far me favorite shoes i have owned. They compliment so many suits and slacks and the subtle detailing just makes them that much more interesting than the Park Avenue. They fit great and are very comfortable. i definitely recommend getting in to a retail location so they can measure your foot exactly and get the right size. if this is not possible give them a call and they may be some help over the phone as to how each shoe fits. i highly recommend them to anyone looking for great looking American made shoes that will last as long as you keep them looking great. I know they are expensive but a wise man once told me: "a $200 pair of shoes will last exactly twice as long as a $100 pair. But a $300 will last a life time."

In 1997 I was new in sales, and I attended many trade shows, barely making it on pay. A friend told me no matter what I do, get a great pair of shoes for trade shows, that it will help my back, not to worry how much they cost. I bought a pair of what I think were the Fifth Avenue, they look exactly like those shoes. The 1st time I put them in on it was like wearing broken in tennis shoes, I was sold. When I got my bonus check, bought another pair of Allen Edmonds, and now, 13 years later, I have 6 pairs in my closet, send them off 2 pairs annually to be re-crafted. I love these shoes, so comfortable and durable, and I swear they have helped my back, though impossible to prove. Oh, and when you go to the store, they remember me by name, even though I only go about once a year, it is awesome.

I have owned several Fifth Avenue / Park Avenue pairs over the years, several of which have been recrafted multiple times since they continue to look and feel great seemingly forever. These are my go-to shoes for important clients, Board meetings, and more formal occasions. A gorgeous shoe.

Waiting for a shoeshine in New York City the individual doing the shine stopped working on the individual in front of him when he noticed the shoes I was wearing to say "Now these are a pair of shoes!". I took that as one of the highest compliments one could get since this individuals knows shoes!

I have multiple pairs of Allen-Edmonds (classics and casuals) and I find the Fifth Avenue my favorite lace up shoes. I initially purchased the shoes in black and liked them so much, I bought a pair in chili. I will be purchasing a pair of Fifth Avenue since the styles are similar with the same last.

I have been a big fan of Park Avenue, but wanted to jazz things up just a touch...so I when AE reintroduced the Fifth Avenue - I jumped in line to grab a pair. Well made, great leather, beautiful broughing, and a classic style. Wear the at least once a week. Great shoes.

This shoe is so comfortable. I wear it all day long and am not inhibited by the shoe at all. It has lasted for many years. Of course, I polish it regularly, it remains looking like new. The overall look of the shoe is professional as i generally wear it with suits. If however i wear jeans, it looks great too. A great, great shoe!

The Fifth Avenue is a great shoe for both business and casual wear. My pair is in the dark burnished brown color, and can go well with charcoal, navy, or mid-gray suits, pretty much any color of dress slacks, and could even be dressed down for business casual days despite being a cap toe balmoral. Great all-around shoe.

The 5th Avenue shoes are a classic must have shoe made by the best American brand. While AE makes similar shoes which are sometimes cheaper in price, these are well worth the money and offer a brilliant look for all formal and business attire.

I enjoy these shoes. A little bit of detailing on the toe, but not so much that they look overly fussy. The brown works well with a wide variety of pants.

Great fit and comfort of the Park Avenue with the perforated toe cap that adds a bit of pizzazz to the plainer shoe. A classic style

Feels great, looks great, very elegant looking shoe. Six eyelet is my favorite for many years. Another Allen Edmonds to my collection. The shoes last for a very long time if you care for correctly and always will be in fashion.
